Its wonderful to see this. I was 14 and saw Allen's last-ditch scrambled goal standing in the Loft- one of the most brilliant and intense moments of my childhood. It's interesting to be reminded of what a skillful,attractive team this was . Lovely to hear Brian Moore, too. Thank you so much for posting this.
Great to see this again. When Allen spun and scored I became pinned against the metal barrier and the push from behind me. Even though I couldn't breathe for a moment it was worth it.
I was in the South Africa Road stand for this piece of history. I celebrated this goal more vigorously than the one in the semi-final v WBA, because it meant we finally ended our FA Cup quarter-final jinx. I thought the cameras were in the old gantry on the South Africa Road side. I know I'd only seen this on TV once, and that was at a christening the next day, when it wasn't easy to get permission to have the telly on! The highlights don't tell the full story of the pitch invasions.
Went to the game with out a ticket, got in thanks to a ticket tout, was in the top corner, by the c p fans, still jump up when we scored,.what a day that was, wish I was 20 again, come on you rss
Shame they didn't show the 7 police horses come on the pitch to seperate 500 fans fighting .Was funny when Allen scored and a Palace fan chased him and tried to kick him up the ass.
Twenty-eight years before Adebayor rushed to share his moment with the Gooners at Eastlands, on 9:32 to 9:48 Clive dashes to the adoring Croydon hordes just to share the love. Magic moments...worth being crushed half-to-death and all the aggro on S Bush Green.Don't think CA cared 2 hoots about the FA fine either.Nice one FFT,keep 'em coming!
