  • Hello guys,
We continue our Motorhome trip in Scotland.
Leaving the beautiful Port Nan Gael Campsite on the West coast of the Isle Of Mull, we negotiate the Glen More pass, and drive North to Tobermory.
We pitch up at Tobermory Campsite and watch the local wildlife. And a hike down (and up) to Tobermory with it's colourful Main Street.
We also try to assess whether we will get our motorhome Florrie, on to the little ferry which is to take us across the Sound of Mull to Ardnamurchan.
Hope you enjoy this one everyone.

It’s a really beautiful island Julie. We fell in love with it! Going back again next year as we didn’t have enough time to just chill if you know what I mean. We will definitely stay for longer on each site and will also do some off grid on the beaches there. It really is a wonderful place!!

Beautiful scenic tour, Dave and Sue. But you were driving a bit fast in parts! 🤣🤣Especially on some of the narrow roads in an RV. Beautiful quaint, colorful villages along the water. More importantly, "Suzy found a pub!" Too bad you didn't enjoy it more. Enjoyed seeing the buzzards. As long as they're not coming for me! 😁😁 Thanks for bringing us along.

Happy Tuesday Dave and Sue and thanks for sharing this trip to the Isle of Mull. I have heard much about this island and it is a joy to explore with you. With a motorhome you have the flexibility to drive around and experience those beautiful country roads (and also learn where not to drive...ups). I understood from your remark about being underwhelmed that some places do not put a lot of effort into the experience as tourists come and go, but the nature and wildlife is always there to enjoy! And then we will see next week how it goes when you try to sail with the ferry :) All the best, Ant

Have a good rest of the week Ant. 👍👍

Great campgrounds. Love that one was right by the river. The villages were just amazing. Yes, that was quite a walk. But it was such a beautiful town. The pathways were quite steep. . Sometimes places that are hyped up can be a let down. Fun to see the boats while y’all were at the lighthouse. Food looked tasty. Nice market too.

Wonderful to see more of Scotland with you! The roads sure look narrow, even for a car- I can appreciate that it’s more challenging with Florrie! You’ve had lots of beautiful campgrounds, they all seem inviting with great locations. I think it’s great that you can walk down to town, but wouldn’t it be great to get a ride back up the hill, lol. Cute town and wonderful wildlife! I hope you can squeeze onto the next ferry!! 😉😄👍👍

    Hi Dave and Sue,
Loved this last episode of your Isle of mull adventure❤. What a truly incredible place. Well done on negotiating the pass Dave, you do need to slow down a bit though 😂 🏎🙈. Becoming a pro in Florrie now, although she does have her limits, maybe the waterfall track was a step too far (oops😂🙈). We never made it over to Tobermory, we know some of the ferries have a stop there, love the brightly coloured streets, our niece and nephew use to love Ballermory (tell us a story) when they were little👍. They are 20 and 21 now, how time flies 😮. Ooh cheese shop! Doesn't matter how far away it is, Pete and i would have made the walk, we love cheese 😀🧀. What a fab little place, love buying local goodies in places like this 😋. Ah last night on mull, but what amazing memories you are taking back home with you guys. That's if you don't sink on the ferry, listen to Sue Dave, and stop if he waves his arms 😱😂. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure guys, look forward to the next one!
Have a great Bank Holiday weekend,

      Cheers guys.
Ha yes the ferry was interesting! And a bit nerve wracking too. 😃.
Mull was amazing. The whole experience has left a lasting impression and we can’t wait to go back! The roads are mostly pretty good even in Florrie.
The waterfall track was a disaster in more ways than one. We were told about it by another Motorhomer but it was a bit dodgy. And when we finally made it to the car park we got scam mmed. 😡. The car park payment sign had a false QR code stuck on 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Managed to recover a couple of dodgy test payments from the bank but lost the use of the card - luckily we had another
So won’t be going down that track again 😀😀
Tobermory was ok - in the end a slight let down on high prices etc. but ok and a very beautiful place!!
Ha ha watch for that operations guy on the ferry. 👋. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. STOP!!
Have a brilliant weekend you guys.

@@NBNatureTrailvanoh no, we would have scanned the QR code too for sure! We will have to look out for that one, thanks for the heads up. The waterfall track was defo best avoided then🙈. Thank goodness you had another card to use! It is a shame when popular places hike the prices up isn't it, but somewhere fun to visit all the same, and a stunning island! Loved your walk to Tobermory which was so pretty with the coloured houses and that lovely church. Sue sounded like my response would be at the pork scratchings when Alf wants to buy them 😄 I think theyre more of a man thing ? 😃
Have you done any wild camping in Florrie ? Unless I've missed anything I think you just go to campsites? I know in Scotland its quite easy to wildcamp there.
