Thanks for showing us how to use the Oxygen Pro, there is definitely a lack of M-Audio Oxygen Pro tutorial and demo videos on UA-cam. Your instruction is clear and concise. I am using Studio One with Oxygen Pro 49, there is almost no videos about this combination.

I didn't really know how to do this, from what I remember since using this software since late 2022. Now, I just want to learn how to use the looper page. People don't really explain that much. I'm trying to make loops like regular loopers do. Shalom. :3
Awesome as usual Doug. Fingers crossed that you're going to do more how-to's on MPC beats. I use Studio One normally but MPC really puts the focus on providing a quick and easy workspace for making beats... while still keeping so many features that a professional daw should have! Cheers mate!!

Nice demonstration of MPC beats. Would you show us how to build a more complex song, with a chorus and verse, maybe even an intro and extro. Some thing melodic and even show how the Mini-pro can generate the chords to back the melody? Eventually I want to create backing tracks that I can Triger the various sections of an instrumental song with my e-drum kit by assigning midi Triger note or CC's from my e-drum pads to MPC beats. Thank you.
Thanks! You should be able to use the fundamentals in this video to build your full beat in a shorter number of bars and then extend the length of your sequence to a full length song and use the track mutes to create your intro, verse, chorus, etc. Using chord mode is a good idea! I will give some thought to a more complex how to video!

nice video, so I guess the covers you see on UA-cam with people looping and multitracking is precomposed for the most part and they just unmute tracks as needed while playing some lead over the top?
Hi Doug, thank you for this wonderful video. However I am having trouble in producing sounds using keys in mpc beats. It seems I am not able to get the proper settings to be able to use my keys to play along with the pads. Currently it is just mapping the sounds to pad. Do you know what settings change I should be doing in order to play using both pads and keys?

M Audio Oxygen Pro 25 is connected to my MPC software and my MPC studio. Can I map it my keyboard to both software or should I get Akai Mini keyboard for my MPC and just map my m audio to Studio one?

When using MPC Beats with the OXygen Pro, do the play/Start buttons on the Oxygen also work with MPC Beats ? (So, i do not have to use the mouse to stop the track)
Nice video. Any tips on mapping the pads to the track mute? The midi learn more worked for drum pads but not for track mute (on the pro mini)
Thanks! Hmm, that’s interesting. All I did was map the pads to the drum pads and that worked for track mute as well. No extra mapping in track mute was needed. Not sure why yours isn’t working!
@@DSoundman okay thanks for the reply. I'll try remapping today and see what happens. I've updated the firmware (thanks for that vid too) and stayed on MPC beats 2.8 as upgrading to 2.10 didn't seem to work well with the pro mini
@@burdGIS Make sure you're in the same bank of pads in both MPC and your O2 Pro
@@gabedestellano thanks. I've got it working now and found I had to go to edit > preferences > MIDI/sync and make sure the Input Ports are set to CONTROL
I can record the mutes and unmutes..I also use tubesynth plugin and I want to record my lowpass filter knob movement too while recording the mutes and unmutes. This doesn't work. Is it not possible or do I something wrong?

Im using Oxygen Pro 61. When I'm in mute mode, the pads don't do any mute at all. The preset sound keep playing like in the main mode. Am I doing somenting wrong? ;(

Hey how do you do a sequential loop like you did here, like a recording of different instruments coming in one bar at a time as you loop. If I hit record and do this, the playback will have all instruments playing at once rather than being sequential

Would you happen to know if this midi keyboard is compatible with Magix Music Maker?
I use mpc beats within logic as a vst, but I can only have one intance of mpc beats open per logic project. Is there a fix for this?
Hey Douglas on your oxygen pro mini can you select a different scale aside from the usual major/minor? I see you can access harmonic minor and other exotic scales in your video explaining the smart scale feature but on your chord mode tutorial it looked like it only gave you the choice for major/minor.
Unfortunately chord mode only has major and minor…😕

What program are you using for making music?

Another issue I ran into with this program was no sound with the usual ASIO 4 All 2 setting. I had to change it to ASIO for FL Studio to get ANY sound from MPC. Windows 11 issue possibly? Whatever... That was the fix Incase anyone else runs into a similar issue.
I'm curious if you or someone knows how to plug in the pro mini into a rc-505. I tried to do a midi out from the oxygen pro mini to the loop station. I'm really not familiar with midi and how to set it up.

Double-click on Stop to stop?!?!
Haha yeah right? Stop once stops the transport and stop a second time stops any ongoing loops that are playing. Seems like one stop would be enough!
Can you control the note repeat and 16 levels from the oxygen pro?
That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. I'll have to play around with it and see if it's possible!

Yes you can . When the global button is lit up. The four buttons under the faders are programmable.
Only problem is 16 level still requires a enter press.
