    Very fresh work bro. I’ve never seen the heating a wire with a lighter before; excellent. Also, your execution with magnets is best I’ve seen. Baking powder/mud is fresh idea. Almost as bad as DM Scotty saying "Sculply". It kinda matters because modge doesn't mean anything, but mod is short for "modify". You can modify a hodge podge of things with it. Mod is an important part of conveying the purpose of the product. It's like calling a screw driver a scruge driver. The guy does good work, but I'd change two things about his channel: 1. The channel name, because it's not really accurate. Very little, if any, of his crafting has to do with witches. I avoided it on my suggested list for a long time because of the name. Most people who have witch related channels are extremely annoying. I bet he'd get more subs and views if he posted the same content under a more fitting name. 2. Him saying modge podge. He puts on a good show and makes really cool items and shows great techniques to do things that other channels often do in other ways. The sloppiness of misnaming one of his most used products doesn't fit with the rest of the production. Takes a semi-pro level video down to total noob level. He's proven himself to be better than that.

    Just stumbled upon your channel. Some really cool stuff here! Question, though. I am interested in building a castle wall with a gate and two towers on either end for a display board. • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Matt, you can create your castle with towers by texturing XPS foam with aluminium foil and using a pen to draw in your stonework. Pressing deep into the foam and you'll get a nice texture and will take a dry brush real nice. If you're not going to be crafting all the time, I wouldn't buy or make a roller. Take your time on the stonework and just do it by hand. A Winons Hot Knife Foam Cutter might be a good route for you for some of the more intricate cuts instead of a proxxon. It'll let you make the more advanced cuts without the use of a proxxon, with a little less "quality". All that and just some craft paints, a few brushes, and a hot glue gun and you're good to go!

    Hey! Great and inspiring build :)
    There are a few seconds during which some magic happens, between 2:36 and 2:39, when you cut the arc door from the tower wall.
    How do you manage to get such a clean arc cut? Do you use some special tool (e.g. from shiftinglands) or is a pure matter of experience and practice?
    Thanks and keep going with these cool builds!

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  4 роки тому

      Thanks Francesco! So to cut this arc out I use a scrap piece of XPS foam and turn on the Proxxon. I press the foam to the hot wire and as soon as it starts to cut that's the temp I use... real low. Then I cut it out real slow by hand on the Proxxon.

    Wow! Freaking awesome.. Learnt few tricks and definitely worth watching your videos dude. Keep 'em coming :)
    Although i have question - I roughly estimated the price of the items you have mentioned in the list (i'd need alomst everything as i'm a beginner in creating this), and it came up to approx $560 without considering tax/shipping stuffs.. I know few stuffs should be available with me like xacto, glue guns etc.. Even though if we are spending this much (i'm assuming you will be selling this), what would be your profit? Sorry for the blunt question, i know this is expensive stuffs, but just wanted to know more about it. Whats the amount you charge for this if you are selling, whats the profit from this or if you are not selling, i assume you use it for playing with it. Again, really new to this scene of D&D/diorama's but def into it, so please forgive me if i've asked something that i shouldn't have asked! Would love to hear back from you! :) Cheers!

      Thanks for watching! So yeah, believe it or not I stopped commission work when I started the channel. I haven't sold a single piece from my videos. It's hard to say. Once you acquire all the tools and just enjoy crafting for what it is, then I wouldn't add that into what it costs to sell a piece because you're using it for yourself as well. Honestly, you'll never get enough cash for a craft to make it worth your time. What I can say is to make a pre determined price with your client and stick to it. Don't make the decision after the craft is complete.... and just enjoy what you do.

      XPs foam. If you can’t find it locally I have it listed on my website under my Amazon links for crafting supplies. www.tabletopwitchcraft.com

    How do you know what size to build them

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  3 роки тому +1

      That's a great question. I aim to have my walls 3" tall. Then that helps to design the rest of the build. Start with your walls and doors. Use a miniature to help you scale your crafts as well.

      Local hardware store. You can also find links to the foam on Amazon in my video descriptions but keep in mind it does cost a bit more ordering that way.

      Tabletop WitchCRAFT do you special order at Home Depot? All I ever find is the 1” 2x2 sheets or large sheet that 2”. Same for Lowes

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  4 роки тому

      No, they are pretty standard at Home Depot and Lowes. 1/2" , 1", and 2". They are typically in 4'x8' sheets, but the thicker ones can sometimes be found in 2'x 8' as well.

    With this lockdown staying in effect longer and longer, can't go anywhere to print out plans. I don't suppose you could do them in a format for 8 1/2 x 11 ? Husband has cancer so really can't risk going anywhere.
