    Wow final quality looks amazing of the dolls house, the outside is crazy! I have took samples of same pics from all the cameras and looks like the pro 2 has the best quality, the pro 3 straight after that, the Z1 and last the insta 360 1 inch with the worst quality (image quality/noise/light). Do you agree?
    And honestly if you get for like 400$ a used Z1 it’s really a great piece to start off for professional virtual tours right? Thanks a lot :) and, great job!!

      I think the pro2 and pro3 are neck in neck for quality of photos. all the others are subpar in my opinion.

    thanks for sharing this. Could you please help me with these two questions?
    1. Any particular reason why you marked the fence on the ipad as mirror? Is this your way of telling matterport to "cut-off / limit" the scan area when they process it for you?
    2. Was the roof over the garage scanned from this camera when you were at the ground level? The dollhouse shows it nicely, however doesn't show the house/main roof.

      Hi, I was always marking areas I wanted to cut out as mirrors.. i recently changed that habit and now mark the outside areas with the trim tool, that's the proper way. I was at ground level when I scanned the entire property.. maybe eye level while outside. I suppose if you wanted to capture the entire roof you could get a taller tripod but most clients don't care about the roof for 3D tours.

    Is it possible to switch camera within one project. Use Insta 360 x3 inside (faster) and Pro 3 outside?

    Thanks! Can you show also the final 3d point cloud result, especially for The exterior of the house? How much of the roof is captured? Is the data clean (I mean, a flat wall is acquired as a nearly flat point cloud or is bumpy and noisy?). Thanks

    Many thanks for the video. I have a couple of questions. How accurate do you have to be when marking windows and mirrors? When you were outside circling the station, were you concerned about your reflection in the windows? You mention knocking out the cupboards from the tour but retaining them for the dollhouse plan. I notice you didn’t do that on your tour. The cupboard next to the front door has been left with a few spots in close proximity which means whilst moving around, the doors are opening and closing quite quickly. Is this the reason to delete the cupboard from the tour? Also when would you delete the cupboard stations? I assume after the tour comes back from Matterport so that the plan is all in tact.

      You should be as accurate as you can when marking windows and mirrors. I always am concerned about my reflection in mirrors or windows, no one wants to see me on their tour! knocking out cupboards? not sure I follow.. where did I mention that at?

Can you offer any tips for staying out of reflections when stood behind the camera i.e. when outside and there's nowhere to hide? Also, have you found any issues with the Pro3 which haven't been resolved by Matterport?

      oh yes, we scan closets and garages and usually hide them from the tour by hiding the scan points in those areas. I stay behind the camera as it circles and rotate with it. haven't ran into any issues that haven't been resolved as of yet.

      prices are always based on location and sq footage. what I charge in my market will be different than what you charge in yours. ideally we try to stay around $.15-$.25/sq ft.

      just depends on the client and space, most fall in a price per sq ft range, some fall in a daily rate rage.

    Do your research before buying the Pro 3! The only subscription plan you can upload to is the professional plan. You will need to upgrade from classic to professional.and their fees are ridiculous.

      Some classic users (with pro2s) have created a second Professional or business account for pro3 uploads only. If you're charging a monthly hosting, support and maint fee to your clients that should more than cover the monthly fees matterport charges... someone has to pay for hosting costs, pass those fees to your client. They aren't that bad.

      @@sparksmediagroup I’m hoping that’s the case. My client is a nationwide builder and I hope they feel the same as you and view the upgrade as “the cost of doing business.”
      A lot of folks view this as a strong arm tactic from Matterport. I’d advise anyone just starting out to stick with the Pro 2

      IMHO the people complaining about the fees matterport charges (or the price increases) don't properly know how to run a business. Just because someone buys a camera, and knows how to operate it, doesn't mean they know how to successfully run a business. I only recently started passing on hosting fees to my clients (after 4+ years of "eating" those costs) and 99% of them are OK paying it. The decision to get a pro2 or a pro3 usually comes down to money. If I wasn't concerned about budget i'd go with a pro3 everytime. If I was budget conscious i'd go with a pro2. My business has several of both and I've successfully started renting out my pro3 which has more than paid for the cameras cost.

      @@sparksmediagroup all businesses big and small have a bottom line. Not everyone works for or owns a “media group.,” receives promotional fees from Matterport or has list of diverse clients.
      The unhappiness with Matterport was reflected in the market recently. MTTR shares plummeted last week. Simply stated, the Pro 3 isn’t for every vendor. If you are not prepared to pay or are able to afford the professional subscription, buy/stick with the Pro 2 .
