I sit in the sun every morning for 15-30 minutes and it helps my sleep at night. It resets your cortisol levels and it is so good for you. It has been overly hot here in NJ too so I also sit under the trees in my yard to cut the heat a bit.
Love the hang out with Jen videos! The chats, the cooking, the coffee, food shopping ideas - the vlogs have it all in one package. But make the videos that make you happy because I will watch either way.
I clean my strawberries and then I store them in Green Boxes with their stem end up. I find that that helps them not to rot as fast. Still need to eat them up within 3 or so days. I store all my fruit in Green Boxes. I got a huge set from HSN years ago and only one of them went bad in that time. I still have 6 of the small and 4 of the large. Well worth the price. I also got a bunch of the green bags in the set and they work really well for greens but greens only last 3-4 days without going slimy. Also contains the mess in the refrigerator bin.
I find that whenever I cut fresh produce to store in the fridge, it doesn’t matter what type of container I use but I aways put in a paper towel to collect excess moisture and I change it out as needed.
If you let your fruit dry on a towel before you put it away it lasts a lot longer. I don’t pluck of the grapes. I just gut them in small bunches that are easy to grab. Then everyone can pluck their own as they eat them.
Thanks for the video! As far as teaching your daughter to drive....we hired a driving school cuz I was too anxious to drive with my kid 😂 it worked out well and they give you a certification of completion that if you show to your insurance they may give you a small discount! Good luck!
You're so relatable because I'm also a WFH mom but only difference is I have a 2 year old. Not sure if teen sports or toddler shenanigans are worse but I say about even. The travel is soooo hard and trying to anticipate groceries is the worst so I can completely relate. Screw the algorithm girl and do what you love! We'll all still be here.
Yes to the neck fan! Last July my Mom had knee replacement surgery, I went to help her and Dad. I live in th Chicago area. They live in Houston-it’s HOT! My Dad has a condition where he’s always cold. They keep the house at 78! Several times I looked & it was 80. Th fan saved me !
Loved the video. Have been keeping a lot of fresh veggies prepped. Such a cool, refreshing snack on these hot summer days. Have a good trip and see you when you get back. Thanks Jen!
I haven’t tried that brand of Biltong but I love Struve brand. It is amazing. Also try Carnivore Crisps or Carnivore Snax if you want something different than jerky. They are more like chips and they are made with all the different cuts of beef. Also some are made with bison.
“I’m kinda on a time crunch to do that as well” followed by ….. takes another sip of coffee and continues to relax! We are the same ;) hahaha love this
Biltong originates from South Africa that's where I live!!!! Love it super high protein, so convenient and delicious. Ps please do more porch talks! Really enjoyed this vlog Jen
The heat is almost unbearable in Kansas, so early morning coffee outdoors is about the only outdoor activity I have. 😅 Have a great trip and stay well and hydrated. 💧💦 BTW I love your airplane window pics! ✈️
We all need the neck fan. But I, specifically, need you to be my irl bff. Don’t make this awkward, but I’ve never vibed this much with a stranger on the internet. Thank you for being exactly who you are.
Very chill and motivating video! Love your videos. Now I want to be more productive today Via your last video, I ended up buying Forever Strong by Dr Lyon. It was full of great research and science. I felt very motivated to workout and eat healthier thanks to that book. But, for those who are also thinking about buying it, I'd say there's some downers to the book. It's not really geared for people like me (poor and fat), by that I mean over 240 lbs so doing squats right now, isn't really possible. And being low income and the doc recommended a lot of more expensive things - like medical tests or a workout mirror. And while the information on protein was great, she recommended at least 100g of protein a day, which w/o a protein drink isn't really possible for me. And while I do work out now, I think a protein drink everyday would make weightloss harder. But it did have great info and did motivate me! Thanks for the book recommendation, Jen
I will continue to watch you Jen regardless of what it is. You have such a wonderful personality and every time I spend my time with you I am happier. I know sounds mushy but I don’t mean to lol 😂. Don’t you guys have central air?
How about don’t plan their food while you are gone. They will figure it out. I promise. When my kids got older and I traveled I just stopped doing this. At first, I left them with loose options and their favorite snack-y foods which also became something I did less as everyone realized I wasn’t going to spend mental energy doing this prep for them when I left for business. Let me tell you it’s made them better at cooking and managing their own hunger. That says a lot since I have all boys. It was great mental release to let go of this. It was hard don’t get me wrong because of mom brain but it’s possible, everyone survived and made much more self sufficient in the kitchen. My oldest son’s girlfriend just loves that he will cook. He has asked me to make him a recipe binder of all his family favorites. I guess she will never hear that’s not how my mom made it because he can make it himself as he should.
I’ll be going out of town with my youngest, the other 2 and my husband will be at home. We will also be out of town before that so not time to go and buy groceries, they will survive.
Omg Jen have I got a tip for you! Was your grapes, put them between 2 dish clothes (obviously not pushing too hard) and lightly roll the grapes around and within seconds all the grapes have been removed from the stalk. GAME CHANGER, you can thank me later 😜
I'd take any brand but Walmart's Perdue as well. Awful imo. Yet right there on the package is "free range" etc. It's awful, you can't pay me enough to use Perdue much less will I pay FOR IT. This is bad chicken, it's up there with most of Walmart's meat and produce imo. Or DOWN there.
What happens when you drink too much diet sodie? You spend too much time on the comodie. 😂😂😂😂😂 That whipped cottage cheese looked just like sour cream. Tips for teenage drivers....Let someone else teach them and save your sanity. THE WORST!!! Hope you have a great 4th of July. 🎆🎇🧨
Just post what you enjoy, and most of us will follow along
I’ve said it before and I’m gonna say it again… for some reason watching you cut stuff makes me so happy. It’s like asmr for my eyeballs. 😂
Agree!!!
I feel the ole Jen coming back to us and I am thrilled! Love ya babe:)

The breakfast chicken sausages from aldi are really good too. I buy them all time. And it's not sweet. Love it.
You taught me to store things in mason jars and I totally love it. I wish I would have figured that out years ago. Safe travels.

Pls do videos that you love and enjoy. That’s all that matters to your core fans. Did I miss the video of your new fridge? Super excited for you!!

I use mason jars for berry storage too. It stores so much longer and if fruit isn't ready,no one eats it.
Yay! More daily life vlogs!!

Love you ❤
The only berries I’ve found the Mason jar trick doesn’t work for is raspberries. They for me do best being left in the clamshell.
Love these vlogs ❤
We appreciate you!! Great video btw! Commentary is as important,
i believe, as any metric. How do we communicate a metric to you or vis vers a?
I just got my neck fan from Amazon on Sunday so happy with it it's just now it's going to rain for next few days 😂🇨🇦

Yes we do 😊
Ok maybe I need to finish watching but which strapless was the best??
Cortisol and morning caffeine? I haven’t heard about that but I am now going to look.
I got my first strapless bra when I was 17….I exhaled and it fell down around my waste!😮😊😂
Relatable 😂
So glad your back! Have a safe and happy 4th of July🇱🇷🇳🇱🇵🇷🇺🇸
Yesss, a new Jen video before bed. Insomnia has been kicking my butt the past few nights.
Hope you can sleep tonight!

My dad took me into a cemetery to practice driving.
I don't wash my berries until I am ready to eat them.
Okay I’ve been watching your videos a little while now but I have no idea what WFH means? 🤔
Work From Home
@@barbiedoll6530 Oh duh 🙄! I do the exact same thing Thanks I’m not so savvy with abbreviations 😆.
