I also lost my mom 3 years ago this past December. It also was a seemingly unnecessary death. Had she sought medical attention months earlier she may still be with us. It’s hard to reconcile someone else’s poor decisions that impact so many people we love. I loved the month by month recap! Looking forward to watching you this year too!

Definitely ups and down year- in early spring, as a 49 yr old female, I had a silent stroke that hit a small area of my brain. Enough to knock out my executive planning functions and higher organization skills. Luckily I have a sweetheart husband who has stepped up and stepped in for caring for me. No cause or diagnosis has been found yet. But we persevered!

I heard someone share many years ago how important it is to reflect on your successes each year before ever thinking about setting new goals and resolutions. It’s such a powerful and helpful tool as you realize how much you actually did accomplish even if in sometimes very small steps. Loved hearing more about your families successes this year.
The Strong Museum of Play in Rochester NY has a sesame street exhibit where you can actually walk on sesame street, sit on the stoop of 123 sesame street, climb in big bird's nest, film yourself w elmo,etc. There are so many other exhibits that the whole family would love it
I love your videos, they always feel like hanging out with a friend. 2024 had a bunch of ups and downs. The best part of 2024 was my 2nd grandchild being born on Mother’s Day! The worst part of 2024 was my 28 year old son was helping a woman who fell in the road then a jeep hit them both and didn’t bother stopping! Thankfully my son suffered only bumps,bruises and some sore muscles, the woman was a bit more injured.

Our kids LOVED Sesame Street too! We have a “talking” stuffed Big Bird that my parents gave them! It still works a little bit! Jim Henson was amazing! Anemia is no joke! I suffered with it a few years ago and I finally am able to manage it. I still am on alert for symptoms! I wish only the best for you and your family in 2025!
My favorite episode of Bert and Ernie was the pizza slice.. Ernie was trying to make the pizza slice even to share with Bert.. he kept cutting it and eating it till it was even
As a 63yr old granny; Sesame Street is very special to me...all 4 of my kids grew up watching it and I go waaay back to Mr Hoopers store( my son is now in his 40s, but Big Bird and Elmo and the gang still lives in my heart😪🥰)
Congratulations on your weight loss! I started the same medication today. Obviously, I want the weight loss but I've had several patients tell me about how clear and sharp they feel mentally. I know you had mentioned in a video about being able to focus. I'm hoping for the best!

Happy New Year Jen. Yes, my 2024 was a mix of good and bad. I got a lot of improvements done in my condo. The sad part of my year was my only aunt passed away in early March at the age of 86. Although I felt sad, we had so many great years of memories to look back on. She was in declining health so it was a blessing. Thank you Jen for being a online friend, I always look forward to your videos. Sesame Street was past my time but I did see it occasionally. I am looking forward to getting more things done on the home front. See you tomorrow.❤️

How fun! I used to read "The Monster at the End of this Book" to my kids, and my oldest daughter is now 50! We all loved that book! I had open brain surgery in Feb 2024. If I didn't have the surgery by the day I actually had it, I wouldn't be here. That was difficult, but I'm so grateful to still be here with my kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids!!! My brother was obsessed with Guy smiley and Slimy the worm, Maria was in Boston at the Children's Museum when I was 4 and my brother 7, she called my brother up on stage because he had crazy cowlic's in his hair, she asked him who his favorite Sesame Street character was and he said Slimy, she was not expecting that for an answer, he got to sing a song with her, great memories.

I used to watch Sesame Street when I was a teen. It didn’t start on PBS until I was probably 10?? At 16 a friend gave me a huge Oscar the Grouch stuffed animal. I gave it to my son when he was born and he re-gifted to me when he was 25. He didn’t want it anymore. I watched Fraggle Rock and the different Muppet series over the years.
Hope your 2025 year is much better! Sorry 2024 was hard. Good idea to be grateful and look at things in a positive mindset. I have had some health issues and am taking the Munjaro brand of the Type 2 diabetes injectable med. Down about 10 pounds and starting to feel better. I think both my sons are older than you but my oldest had a pull string Big Bird from Sears & Roebuck that talked and a Sesame Street toy box with all the characters on the front. Good days…I don’t they had cable when my boys were growing up so I hear ya. If they did we couldn’t afford it anyway 🥴🤣looks like a fun time ❤Happy New Year to you and your family.BTW-I had an August baby too…the 25th. He’s 48 now 😣I went to a tour of the Jamison distillery in Dublin …such an old historical building. In January 2023. You had a very busy year!!!
🎊Well Happy New Year!🎉This was a fun trip down memory lane. I never really watched Sesame Street myself…I was probably too old for it when it started. I have a sister that is 11 years my junior and she grew up watching it so as her likely babysitter I watched it too. I loved “the monster at the end of this book” too and it was always in my bag of tricks for babysitting. I liked “scaring” the kids. The scare was only temporary though. Fun, fun memories
I used to love watching the muppet show growing up:). I think it was on either Sunday or Monday nights. I remember the dark crystal was a pretty big deal when it came out but I am a 48 so got a few years on you lol. It’s a good movie but slightly on the creepy side though
I love so many of the Henson company's projects- they definitely taught us kids of the 80s and 90s empathy in a way that's yet to be recreated since! The Muppets Christmas Carol is on my mind because I watched it with my nieces and nephews this year for the first time and they all loved it! 😊
Matt Baume has a lovely mini doc here on UA-cam on one of the original Muppeteers named Richard Hunt- warning, it will make you cry huge tears! But it's such a beautiful tribute and shows how multifaceted the people behind these shows that raised us were 💙
We went awhile back to Obed and Isaacs. It was ok, parking is awful! I work in a town about 35 miles east of East Peoria and live about an hour from East Peoria. A friend went to the Muppet exhibit and said it was good. Hoping 2025 is uneventful!

Thanks to one of your videos, I learned about the Jim Henson exhibit! We drove from Iowa City on Sunday, 12/29, and waited in line for about two hours. My sister-in-law loved the Labyrinth memorabilia. It was a crazy wait, but it was worth it! Thanks for sharing!!

I used to watch Sesame Street when I was a teen. It didn’t start on PBS until I was probably 10?? At 16 a friend gave me a huge Oscar the Grouch stuffed animal. I gave it to my son when he was born and he re-gifted to me when he was 25. He didn’t want it anymore. I watched Fraggle Rock and the different Muppet series over the years.
Hope your 2025 year is much better! Sorry 2024 was hard. Good idea to be grateful and look at things in a positive mindset. I have had some health issues and am taking the Munjaro brand of the Type 2 diabetes injectable med. Down about 10 pounds and starting to feel better. You inspire me and I enjoy listening to your videos. Blessings to you and the family!

I think both my sons are older than you but my oldest had a pull string Big Bird from Sears & Roebuck that talked and a Sesame Street toy box with all the characters on the front. Good days…I don’t they had cable when my boys were growing up so I hear ya. If they did we couldn’t afford it anyway 🥴🤣looks like a fun time ❤Happy New Year to you and your family.BTW-I had an August baby too…the 25th. He’s 48 now 😣I went to a tour of the Jamison distillery in Dublin …such an old historical building. In January 2023. You had a very busy year!!!
🎊Well Happy New Year!🎉This was a fun trip down memory lane. I never really watched Sesame Street myself…I was probably too old for it when it started. I have a sister that is 11 years my junior and she grew up watching it so as her likely babysitter I watched it too. I loved “the monster at the end of this book” too and it was always in my bag of tricks for babysitting. I liked “scaring” the kids. The scare was only temporary though. Fun, fun memories

I used to love watching the muppet show growing up:). I think it was on either Sunday or Monday nights. I remember the dark crystal was a pretty big deal when it came out but I am a 48 so got a few years on you lol. It’s a good movie but slightly on the creepy side though

I love so many of the Henson company's projects- they definitely taught us kids of the 80s and 90s empathy in a way that's yet to be recreated since! The Muppets Christmas Carol is on my mind because I watched it with my nieces and nephews this year for the first time and they all loved it! 😊
Matt Baume has a lovely mini doc here on UA-cam on one of the original Muppeteers named Richard Hunt- warning, it will make you cry huge tears! But it's such a beautiful tribute and shows how multifaceted the people behind these shows that raised us were 💙

My husband and boys were at that Sturgill concert in STL.
We went awhile back to Obed and Isaacs. It was ok, parking is awful! I work in a town about 35 miles east of East Peoria and live about an hour from East Peoria. A friend went to the Muppet exhibit and said it was good. Hoping 2025 is uneventful!

I recall the very early muppets. Henson used them for Kraml milk commercials in the early 50s, for the Chicago area.
