I had a colleague who was AWFUL to me when it was only the two of us around. She made the workplace hell. In front of the bosses and customers she was so sweet and nice. Once I tried to say something about it and nobody believed me, because of her nice girl persona. I'm with KC on this one, all the way.

After word got out about all the infighting on the show, I stopped watching. There's a infamous Vanity Fair article from 2004 from the writer who witnessed first hand how her castmates snubbed Teri when the cameras weren't rolling.
Firstly, Kim is An intelligent, articulate, and very classy. Kim can see right through SJP. Kim isn't trying to be vindictive or cold. I'm glad she called out SJP and her fakeness. I never liked SJP and always found her fake. Trying to seem like the good and nice girl. She doesn't fool me, she seems to think she's hot shit so Kim eloquently tweeted that they were not friends and SJPs plastic condolescences. SJP just wanted attention and look good in the public eye. Team Cattrall all the way! I've had my share of "fake friends" so I know where Kim is coming from.

This first sex and the city movie should have been the last installment of the series. It wrapped up everything perfectly and it even ended with them celebrating a birthday at a restaurant like in the first episode.
Parker earned one million per episode, when Kim earned 350k. But that wasn't enough. Now, she is trying to pressure Kim Cattrall into rejoining this ghastly franchise. Parker needs to back off, get therapy, and leave former cast mates alone.

Kim Cattrall was what made "Sex and the City". Without her, the movie will fail. Cattrall made one comment on Piers Morgan saying that they were never really friends and that Parker 'could have been nicer'. That's it. Parker went on to act like she had no clue about what Cattrall was talking about when she was interviewed after that, and added that that was not how she remembered things, and 'thought that they were friends'. Really? If she thought they were indeed friends, then she should have picked up the phone and called her when her brother died. Not post something on social media for the world to see. That's what I would do if I was friends with someone. My condolences to Kim Cattrall.
The first film had a genuine plot. The second film was fucking awful and just an easy cash grab. There's no reason to make a third film. It's unnecessary

I had this coworker who was "friends" with me and then out of nowhere he made my life pure hell. He changed figures in shared documents multiple times to make me look like an idiot in front of my boss I even had proof of what he was doing. Fortunately I had the opportunity to change to another department within the same company and never spoke to him again but many people thought and still think he's a good, kind and lovely guy. I still hate him dearly and never ever I'm gonna forgive him because he consciously wanted me to be fired and that period of my life I suffered both physically and emotionally.

And remember she has lost her brother so her emotions and reactions are heightened. My mother had a nasty fued with one of her sisters, and when my mother got ill with cancer and a week before she died my aunty sent my mother a hue bouquet of flowers - and my mother told me to throw them in the bin!!! Then after she died the same aunty sent us flowers again - and all we wanted to do was say FUCK OFF! When you hate someone so much YOU DO NOT want them involving themselves with your tragedy because it seems fake. That is probably what's going on with Kim now.
In death of a loved one, sometimes you just lose the fuck out.. Remember the spin off to the Golden Girls called the Golden Palace when Bea Arthur left the show? No? Neither do a lot of people. It wasn't successful because the dynamic was too different. Yes I think it was rude of Kim. She could have blocked comments on her IG post, if she didn't wanted one, or blocked SJP if she didn't trust her. Nowadays it is common practice that people post about the funeral date of their loved ones on Fbook and other social media, and a lot of people write their condolences on that. Why post it on social media in the first place, if it inappropriate to offer condolences online? Besides, social media etiquette is not taught. A lot of people have different views on these topics therefore.
Who cares about their lack of friendship? The show was good and the first movie too. The 2nd movie was just silly and not enjoyable viewing. Both women should stop using the media for attention. There are more important things in the world.

There's something very disingenuous about sending somebody condolences on Twitter. On TWITTER!!! A private message or, even better, a phone call, would have been much more appropriate. I would really like to know exactly how has SJP mistreated her. Sending condolence on social media, where KC herself has announced the tragedy doesn't really seem like a thing to inspire such a reaction. You're correct on that...I'm a huge Golden Girls fan as well, but they never tried to bring anyone else in Bea's place and I always wondered why they didn't at least try that.

You can't compete with such a strong actress and character, and I can't imagine an actress in the industry who'd want to take on the challenge. They did the same thing with Suzanne Somers on Three's Company. They thought, "oh, we'll just bring in another actress who can play the "dumb blonde" role underestimating how devoted people were to the Chrissy role, and she flopped. Jenilee Harrison's career never recovered. They quickly replaced Cindy with Terri, a non-dumb blonde role, but the show was never the same. Charlie's Angels got by with replacing Farrah Fawcett with Cheryl Ladd fairly successfully, but I think that was due in part that they made Kris Jill's younger sister, so you felt like you had to root for her,..I mean, who's not going to like Jill Munroe's little sister!
Kim must of gave spj her true friendship at one point and when spj turned around and didn't show kim her support when kim actually needed her spj just lost Kim's true friendship forever. However, I have had people do similar things and it's usually a way for them to manipulate the audience into believing they are the victim. How do we know Kim isn't the actual bully and SJP was keeping it professional and not airing dirty laundry. I would have it a bet that Kim would have been quite dificult on set. Deb Elliott - That's interesting because Kim was the first to air her annoyance with SJP on in Oct, 2017 on piers morgan that she was not ever friends with SJP and that "she could have been nicer" so I mean if that's not bringing things to media I don't know what is. She could have kept that to herself and try and work it out with SJP or just leave it be and move on. But no she had to air it to the world. I can only assume Kim is not this maniacal, I’m going to assume it’s deep grief. Plus they clearly just think very differently about life which is fine. But no need to be cruel.
I’m personally not on either side but I have a few theories as to what’s going on: 1. SJP really is a mean girl but has always played the good girl image to her advantage, so Kim might not be stretching the reality of the treatment she received. So SJP instead of calling her privately to speak her condolences, she posts it on social media in order to further that image and make Kim look bad knowing how she would react. 2. Obviously Kim is grieving so her lashing out is a normal response towards someone who she’s seen as basically an enemy. So SJP might not be the mean girl Kim sees her as and was being genuine with her comment. Kim might even be the culprit of the feud and simply doesn’t like her presence in any form because she’s either jealous or envious for whatever reason towards SJP. But what I do know is that SJP should have contacted her privately and Kim shouldn’t have lashed out the way she did, because that’ll only add fire to the situation.
It's interesting that she should have contacted her privately, I would think Kim should have done that herself when late October Kim outed the fact that she and SJP were just colleagues and "she could have been a nicer person" on Piers Morgan's show. This is the problem with brining stuff to the media, we only get snippets of the story and not everyone knows who and when something was said. So whoever opened their mouth first should have zipped it instead.
Sarah Jessica Parker has never stood in alliance with Kim Catrell . She hurt her and until she actually makes amends (sincerely) she is doing harm to another. I understand SJP. Yes they aren't friends but they worked closely together for years. A person you saw every day for years. So of course she had to know the relationship between Kim and her brother so if she hadn't reached out I would have been surprised. We all know people we work with that we don't particularly like that we would still give our condolences to if they lost someone close to them. You would put your petty differences aside.
I had a colleague who was AWFUL to me when it was only the two of us around. She made the workplace hell. In front of the bosses and customers she was so sweet and nice. This first sex and the city movie should have been the last installment of the series. It wrapped up everything perfectly and it even ended with them celebrating a birthday at a restaurant like in the first episode.

Really? If she thought they were indeed friends, then she should have picked up the phone and called her when her brother died. Not post something on social media for the world to see. I had this coworker who was "friends" with me and then out of nowhere he made my life pure hell. He changed figures in shared documents multiple times to make me look like an idiot in front of my boss I even had proof of what he was doing. Fortunately I had the opportunity to change to another department within the same company and never spoke to him again but many people thought and still think he's a good, kind and lovely guy. I still hate him dearly and never ever I'm gonna forgive him because he consciously wanted me to be fired and that period of my life I suffered both physically and emotionally.

Yes I think it was rude of Kim. She could have blocked comments on her IG post, if she didn't wanted one, or blocked SJP if she didn't trust her. Nowadays it is common practice that people post about the funeral date of their loved ones on Fbook and other social media, and a lot of people write their condolences on that. Why post it on social media in the first place, if it inappropriate to offer condolences online? Besides, social media etiquette is not taught. A lot of people have different views on these topics therefore.

There's something very disingenuous about sending somebody condolences on Twitter. On TWITTER!!! A private message or, even better, a phone call, would have been much more appropriate. I 100% think they can do another SATC movie without Kim. They can just say that her cancer returned or sumthin. Make the opening scene at her memorial/funeral service. It’ll be an organic explanation for all the fans and sumthin that’s realistic as opposed to just completely acting as if Samantha Jones never existed.
It will only be title and the city without the sex... samantha is the character that highlight the movie...not boring self absorbed carrie

for years SJP was excluding Kim on set, making her work life unnecessarily shitty. Kim was going through a tough time in her personal life during the delays of making SATC the movie. Kim said none of the girls called her out of concern, but they just threw her under the bus for delaying/refusing to do the movie at the time. SJP is so fake. She would only send "care" in a public statement like this vs. having that kind of relationship irl. Kim's just keeping it real

Good for Kim Catrell. Sometimes things can just run their course and be over. The series was great and the movies were ok at best. Sex in the city at 60 maybe but SJP's selfish insecure whining character has been played out.

You're correct on that...I'm a huge Golden Girls fan as well, but they never tried to bring anyone else in Bea's place and I always wondered why they didn't at least try that.

You can't compete with such a strong actress and character, and I can't imagine an actress in the industry who'd want to take on the challenge. They did the same thing with Suzanne Somers on Three's Company. They thought, "oh, we'll just bring in another actress who can play the "dumb blonde" role underestimating how devoted people were to the Chrissy role, and she flopped. Jenilee Harrison's career never recovered. They quickly replaced Cindy with Terri, a non-dumb blonde role, but the show was never the same. Charlie's Angels got by with replacing Farrah Fawcett with Cheryl Ladd fairly successfully, but I think that was due in part that they made Kris Jill's younger sister, so you felt like you had to root for her,..I mean, who's not going to like Jill Munroe's little sister!
Kim must of gave spj her true friendship at one point and when spj turned around and didn't show kim her support when kim actually needed her spj just lost Kim's true friendship forever. And I'm glad kim moved on to a better life for herself. She will always be a true person at heart kim Cattrall aka Samantha! ♥

I don't get it, some assume Kim's the victim here because she was the one to speak out and say SJP was horrible to her. However, I have had people do similar things and it's usually a way for them to manipulate the audience into believing they are the victim. How do we know Kim isn't the actual bully and SJP was keeping it professional and not airing dirty laundry. I would have it a bet that Kim would have been quite dificult on set. I think it's pretty nasty to air your dirty laundry out to the media and not very fair. It's not very lady like.
For those that say SPJ was mean for reaching out, I think it was also mean for Kim to air her dirty laundry to the world in the first place. Keep personal infights between you not the rest of the world.
SimD, not everything needs to be on Social media, a private message would have been sufficient. Then, the public would not have been aware of their issue.

Deb Elliott - That's interesting because Kim was the first to air her annoyance with SJP on in Oct, 2017 on piers morgan that she was not ever friends with SJP and that "she could have been nicer" so I mean if that's not bringing things to media I don't know what is. She could have kept that to herself and try and work it out with SJP or just leave it be and move on. But no she had to air it to the world. It's unfair because we only have Kim's perspective, so it's not and will never be an even playing field.

That's cold, I think Sarah J Parker was nice to do that. She should have accepted what Sarah did & say thank you. I think Kim was so wrong. Even if you're mad at the person or hate the person, you could be gracious to accept their regards. At least Sarah was thinking about her in Kim's hour of grief & put aside whatever differences they had. Kim Catrell is so wrong on this. I used to love Kim Catrell, but not after the way she treated her former "Sex & The City " Co-Star. 😠😠
I think it's pretty classless of Cattrall to be so nasty publicly. I don't recall SJP ever behaving like that toward her in public, regardless of what their private problems with each other are.

You are right. SJP has never been nasty in public. But that doesn't mean she isn't nasty behind closed doors either. Perhaps her husband could write a book called "Sara Dearest."
I can only assume Kim is not this maniacal, I’m going to assume it’s deep grief. Plus they clearly just think very differently about life which is fine. But no need to be cruel.
I’m personally not on either side but I have a few theories as to what’s going on:
1. SJP really is a mean girl but has always played the good girl image to her advantage, so Kim might not be stretching the reality of the treatment she received. So SJP instead of calling her privately to speak her condolences, she posts it on social media in order to further that image and make Kim look bad knowing how she would react.
2. Obviously Kim is grieving so her lashing out is a normal response towards someone who she’s seen as basically an enemy. So SJP might not be the mean girl Kim sees her as and was being genuine with her comment. Kim might even be the culprit of the feud and simply doesn’t like her presence in any form because she’s either jealous or envious for whatever reason towards SJP.
But what I do know is that SJP should have contacted her privately and Kim shouldn’t have lashed out the way she did, because that’ll only add fire to the situation.
It's interesting that she should have contacted her privately, I would think Kim should have done that herself when late October Kim outed the fact that she and SJP were just colleagues and "she could have been a nicer person" on Piers Morgan's show.
This is the problem with brining stuff to the media, we only get snippets of the story and not everyone knows who and when something was said. So whoever opened their mouth first should have zipped it instead.
Sarah Jessica Parker has never stood in alliance with Kim Catrell . She hurt her and until she actually makes amends (sincerely) she is doing harm to another. Kim Catrell was a pivotal actress, deserved far more credit for all she contributed and (to my mind) Sarah I’d capable of acting and being a MUCH bigger person…over comfortable with damages done. No judgment beyond that some people are just unable to rise up as one…they just do not have it in them. (And everyone knows it. )

Just because you're not friends with someone, doesn't mean they don't care about you. It also doesn't mean they wish you suffering. Obviously Kim knows much more than we do about Sarah and there are obvious reasons why she's so affected by a positive comment. I guess Sarah could have written her privately to show some authenticity...

Fine you two are not friends just move on and stop being nasty publicly. We never saw Sarah doing anything nasty towards you. But you just showed the world how nasty you are to her!

I understand SJP. Yes they aren't friends but they worked closely together for years. A person you saw every day for years. So of course she had to know the relationship between Kim and her brother so if she hadn't reached out I would have been surprised. We all know people we work with that we don't particularly like that we would still give our condolences to if they lost someone close to them. You would put your petty differences aside.
I understand what everyone's saying but also she probably would have been ridiculed for not saying anything publicly.
