I’ve just completed a 4500km round trip from London to Spain and back in my new M3 RWD LFP. The range is more than adequate and the car’s efficiency is incredible. I had regrets when the LR came out for a few days, until I did the trip. Charging is fast enough, it’s faster than the dogs and I can pee and get back in.Very happy with the standard version here!
As long as the range is acceptable the most important part is always how fast it charges and how often you can find such fast charging stations. Also LFP might be better choice long-term.
I have the exact same car including the S3xy knob. I really like the re engage autopilot and the gear shift by button under the armrest. The Enhance team are really on top of the features. Can’t wait to turn off the annoying speed warning!
Here in Australia we can’t get the long range rear wheel drive. I really wanted a car with all wheel drive so I bought the dual motor motor long range. I’ve had it for five months and done 13,000 km. I love the power for going uphill. The model three is also a great looking car. On roundabouts I have got used to keeping a finger near the indicator button as I go into the roundabout so I don’t have to think about where in the circle the buttons currently are when I exit the roundabout this works well. I have no other problem with the car. I did a camping trip from Sydney to Cape tribulation in final North Queensland round-trip of over 3000 km. I had access to charges whenever I needed them including running an extension lead out a motel door and staying at campsites with electrical supply for charging overnight. I think with EV‘s the range anxiety issue is well and truly in the past as much as it is with fossil fuel cars. I look forward to your trip videos.
I was ordering the RWD Long Range but the RWD got a discount here in Portugal, so the diference now is 7000€, too much to take the LR, so i now i´m waiting for my RWD🙂
before purchasing, I have really had a hard time choosing between ICE (Audi A4) and the Tesla. 6 months in, i would 100% take my Tesla. Really is a step forwards in terms of commute.
I haven't had a chance to try the stalkless setup yet. However the best technique I have seen for roundabouts is to steer with your right hand only, and use your free left hand to signal your exit. Takes a bit of practice to be proficient, I would guess. Of course, over here in the US, we never signal our exit anyway. 🙄
We have it in the same color, except that is the awd version. My biggest regret is not getting PPF. It's crazy how many rock chips we got on the bonnet in 30k kms. The color itself is soooo nice, but the paint is too soft. I mostly drive in The Netherlands, so it's not like the roads are falling apart and you get hit every day. If you want some motivation to get ppf, I can send you some pictures 😭
Indeed, you shouldn't be a slave to your car! But my god, the damn thing looks like it has freckles, especially after I wash it, the contrast between the shiny red and matte white primer is really high. I imagine somehow it is cheaper for Tesla (thin coats or easier to apply), but neither myself or other people around me had a car with paint that is basically a layer of jello
just get a used MS LR for the same price, 670hp, way more top end power bigger screen air suspension all aluminum body more space more storage hatchback and you can move the screen from the front screen without having to use an emulator. 😄
you are making videos and travel lot , that is why might need little extra range, but for normal daily travelling, you dont need long range. you are going to loose 20% of battery most of the times. since you only need to charge RWD LR upto 80%
The only real difference is the 4.9 0-60.. and on a road trip with 100 percent charge and extra 40/50 miles. I have the LR rwd in same spec on order. Can't wait till mid December tbh!
Has anyone started offering premium audio retrofit for the base audio? I know this eventually was available for the old gen rwd (pre highland) with non premium audio.
The Long Range RWD has the basic sound system? :O I was told that it has the premium one. Although I have seen all kinds of information about this, I'm not sure anymore. Not that I'm going to buy a new car soon anyway :D
The white interior kinda looks like you're sitting there next to urinals and the previous model3 was so much nicer without the lightstrip as it looks cheap. Do you know if it's removable?
Gonna say this is the first time I see anyone open a Model 3 door with an index finger, quite impressive?... lol

About the blinkers... put a small dot on the right blinker that you can feel with your thumb. Makes a world of difference. Or put s3xy buttons under the lid of the middle armrest and program the blinkers there. I have both mods. Works great!
Tesla can easily fix the roundabout turn signal issue. I will explain. (Hope elon see's this!) So the car knows you are going onto a roundabout with the nav system. So if i signal to go right (UK) then as soon as i start to steer opposite lock the left indicator will come on automatically! Problem solved. I think this would be an amazing update. 😉
Then that'd imply having to use the nav system every time you use the car, which would be an inconvenience for most people. The roundabout turn signal issue has an easy fix for Tesla though, which is putting the stalks back in and walking back on a terrible idea.
The car does not come with mud flaps. Also, do you expect them to sell the car to you with studded tires. I'm sure if this car came with diamonds, people will complain
Nobody would describe a budget tesla (model 3 and y) as the best car in the world. Its not S or X. Model is cheap. No space inside, cheap interrior, bad sound insulation, slow, poor ride quality. I mean, its a budget car for a reason..
The tiny letterbox rear hatch is very impractical. The tow hitch is manually mounted. The door handles are stupid, both inside and outside. The build quality?
@wonderboy75 No. I mean maintenance wise. Door handle don't brake so often, very cheap suspension, only 1 screen at the front, cheap materials inside which are cheaper to replace, less electricity consumptio, compact size which makes parking and driving easier in tight spaces. You don't care about it standing on the street because of how many other model 3s/Ys around. It blends in. Great a to b car.
@ cheaper parts and cheaper quality but you will need to replace more often because of the low quality. Control arms is a recurring issue, seats and steering wheel peeling and bubbling, paint and rust issues - especially in harsh climates, lot’s of other small issues. At least from my experience. Best to check everything just before warranty expires. Unfortunately Tesla Service are horrible and will try to claim within spec!
@jonfrench7133 With Elon we are not just talking political bias. We are talking direct political influence, direct funding and misuse of a social media to spread disinformation and lies in order to influence voters. Having supported that indirectly with my hard earned money makes me furious.

You can move the passenger seat from the front screen. Go to the back screen emulator and move the passenger seat. Voila, you’re welcome! 😊

Im happy with my standard range. It lets me go monday to friday to and from work plus a bit more on one charge
Great to hear. sounds like you choose the perfect battery size.
A brilliant commuter car that's for sure

You are worried about battery but the color is good and it's matching white interior and it will get never old! 🥳
so what is realistic range? and can you turn traction control off to have a little drift fun on snowy days?
Can’t wait to see some winter road trip. I can relate the fun from canada!
I have the LFP battery in a model Y and it's enough for me because having two children around 10 years old they can never stay put more than 3 hours.
Use the sexy buttons at the back of steering wheel for turn signals

Oof, that sucks, but a car is meant to be used. People will accept rock chips on used cars on the used market.

I personally prefer the black interior with the Ultra Red colour 😀
I like the new black interior mostly due to the alcantara on the door panels. I would still choose white myself, but it is great to have options!
Back screen - on front screen and move the seat just like that easy , Just like when your in the back
just get a used MS LR for the same price, 670hp, way more top end power bigger screen air suspension all aluminum body more space more storage hatchback and you can move the screen from the front screen without having to use an emulator. 😄
Greeeat car! I have driven both, sr and le, and its a DIMENSION better, than my MY!
Thanks for a very honest review. Great no-nonsense car.
The CATL LFP in this car is the same as the CATL LFP in the pre-BYD Blade Model Y RWDs, yes ?
Wheels are nice 👍

Removing aero hubcaps also reduces range (15-20% I would estimate).
@@bh4560 yes, exactly same car. In future, Tesla will offer LR battery replacement for SR if and when someone want to replacement
Is this true@@skyozone
how's the sound system on the RWD + real range in winter/summer?
Which tyre size have you fitted? It looks like a higher profile than stock wheels
Some people have fitted starlink in the interior of the car just below the roof.
Has anyone started offering premium audio retrofit for the base audio? I know this eventually was available for the old gen rwd (pre highland) with non premium audio.
Not seen it yet, but please let me know, I would buy immediately!
The car looks great.
I only do 30 to 40 miles a day, so this car would be amazing.
Nice wheels!
Is the updated lfp already in the Cars that are shipping now?
The Long Range RWD has the basic sound system? :O I was told that it has the premium one. Although I have seen all kinds of information about this, I'm not sure anymore. Not that I'm going to buy a new car soon anyway :D
Y RWD in Europe has the premium sound system. 3 RWD does not.
There is nothing "basic" about the base sound system.
I just ordered a TM3 RWD Quicksilver few days ago. You mean it's going to be a different LFP than yours ?
Haven't heard anything yet. I assume you will get the same as me, for now :)
The white interior kinda looks like you're sitting there next to urinals and the previous model3 was so much nicer without the lightstrip as it looks cheap. Do you know if it's removable?
you can always opt to the black interiour + switch off the ambient light if you really dont like it.
@@pinkpanther8427 They don't fit the light as standard do they?

Thought recent ones come with BYD blade battery
Just the Model Y, and that seems to end now.
@@RoamingNorway I'm about to make a purchase of this M3 and that's what they tell me.
@@danielmorosan Ok, that is wrong. They only come with the CATL LFP battery. The BYD Blade LFP does not physically fit in the M3.

Only problem is it’s pretty slow
Yeah it is a bit slow.

first time ever in a Tesla, must be documented

Sex knobby was the best call! Probably the best part of questionable car
Your english is good but that pronunciation of rear sounds more like ‘rare’. It’s more like r-ear like your ear or ir in Spanish. 😂
"Best car in the world"?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kinda shut up with that expression
Catl solid state batterij just anounched it is mass produced in 2026 il wait for that

Good Video, but, your Hand is CONSTANTLY annoying!😂😂😂
I bought one in late June and I have HUGE regrets. Not so much because of the car but because of what Elon Musk and Tesla represents these days.
i’d never pay much attention to the political bias of any CEO. that would pretty much rule out most manufactures
Elon Musk, sure. But what does Tesla represent these days?
@svensky16 Elon is the face of Tesla.

Make sure you check the character and political views then of every CEO of every company from which you buy stuff.
Your take on LFP is bullshit it is just smaller so obviously is has less to play with. Sell it and get a BYD SEAL that has a larger LFP pack.
oh dear, mr happy NOT
Why would he sell a great car for that piece of crap?
