Great video - thanks, Thomas. I check out protein bars constantly, in every store i go into. The one thing I've noticed is that most companies are still using BAD oils. I keep hoping these companies will get the message!!!
Can you do a video on just low carb or do you just do Keto? I have been eating high protein and low carb for 13 weeks and have lost 9.1 kilos. Would love some more ideas. Thanks Thomas. Loving your videos ❤
I try to avoid them but I found the least processed and natural were better for me. They’re usually more expensive though. I’m in the UK and would say Bulk are the best. Grenade were expensive and bad for digestion. My protein not too bad.
well i bar you showing in 2:40 as i can read contain maltitol syrup , palm kernel is NO NO! One Crunch - maltitol , palm kernel , SUCRALOSE - no Wow that in 04:41 i googled and look best of all there thank you for showing it ! Unfortunately is almost impossible to find that RxBar in uk ..
Thank you Thomas for all your hard work and information. I have followed you for about 18 months when I decided to work on my health and eating lifestyle change, lost 30 lbs on average and 4 1/2 inches on my waist. It can get confusing and overwhelming with all the ingredients. You nail it every time. I am now a regular customer of HOM directly from their website as I don't have a Sprouts near me. But you have given me other options in a pinch some are sold at my Walmart which is less than a mile from me. Thank you again
Quest bars were (maybe?) halfway acceptable for years but now, with no warning, they have Soy and Bioengineered Food Product in them. I read my dog's food label today and it didn't even have bioengineered food product. They're bad. They are claiming "supply chain issues" have driven them to stop caring about your health and put Soy and Bios in. Money, money money is all that matters. Probably were absorbed into an umbrella company in reality.
I’ve been wanting to try a House of Macadamias product, but I wasn’t quite ready to place an order online. It’s nice to know they are now at Sprouts 🌱. I will see if the Sprouts near my house has them available. Thanks 😊

I am obsessed with Pure Protein chocolate deluxe. 180 calories and 21 grams protein. 🙌🙌🙌🙌 I keep them in the fridge and they taste so good cold. I literally crave them.
FYI men. No soy, flax, or mint. Maltodextrin is powdered corn sugar. 1 gram of protein is 4 calories. Protein bars are not a great option, however, better than a Snickers.

Thomas, I've enjoyed many of your videos. However, this one was frustrating because you passed over what I think is a superior bar to virtually all you mentioned. Nugo SLIM protein bars. You said you like chocolate mint, it was right on the shelf. I eat their bars regularly. Profile: 17g protein, 3g sugar, 170 calories, 6g fat (3 saturated), 18g carbs, 6g fiber. Finally you reviewed the IQBar. This is my go-to bar for meal replacements. In addition with what Thomas said, these bars also have a high availability and relatively low price... sold at almost every store including Target, Walmart, Kroger. They taste awesome, especially when eaten with Catalina Crunch cereal. The Atlas bar changed since when they first debuted over two years ago. Although they have increased the protein, the flavor took a turn for the worst on a few of their bars. I think the best tasting will be the peanut butter chocolate chip and the Peanut Butter & Raspberry. Sadly, the ingredient change greatly impacted the Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate sea salt flavors, as their taste took a turn for the worst. On top of all that, they are quite expensive. My workout bar, especially for strength training, will be MRE- it isn't low carb, but the first ingredients are beef, chicken, salmon, and eggs
Well this went from a good update on protein bars to a commercial for his sponsor. I’ve followed Thomas for years but getting the “sell out” feel these days
Thomas, I’m confused about your review of the Laird Bar. You say it has a good protein to calorie profile, but you end by saying you wouldn’t necessarily eat it due to its fairly high calories for the amount of protein that you’re getting.
Stevia tastes absolutely awful to me. It seems like all the bars are changing to stevia. 🤮 As a teacher, bars are very convenient to sneak in between classes. Think and the non-stevia Quest bars are my favorites for balance of protein, flavor, and price. Price matters. Some of the bars are really expensive, not teacher priced.
Despite the advertising, nutrition experts say that proteins bars aren't all that healthy. Let's be fair, protein bar are just glorified candy bars and cookies wrap in fancy plastic wrap.
I have a box of Atlas because I was impressed by the ingredients but they are overly dry and not very good. I don't recommend them. Going to see if my kids will eat them.
Is there a protein bar out there that's sweetened with Allulose?, has whey isolate or hydrolyzed whey isolate, and doesn't have sugar alcohols or dates. So, low carb, high protein, medium calorie. That's TODAY'S perfect protein bar.
