Love this video and the other recent ones about partner launching and inverted lines. I'm really interested in more videos talking about less common situations where things can go wrong when kiting. Things like what to do if the wind stops or turns offshore, landing in very low wind, a kite line breaks, your kite death spirals, good kite beach etiquette etc...in my experience these topics haven't been covered very well by kite teachers.
I'm loving these videos of useful tips for basic on-land tasks, thank you.
Just one other comment: those pedestrians upwind of the kites were a bit close for comfort :) Looks like a difficult beach for this kind of manoeuvre

Ok ok, ok, I'm going to use this kiteswapping strategy and film it, just so I can look cool like spiderman in the final edit.
I feel like anyone who is advanced enough to do this doesn't need the video, and a lot people watching the video will be tempted to try it before they're advanced enough.
Just some food for thought, but by all means, let Darwin do his work.

Mike you are the best and i love all.your videos but sorry here there is a huge safety mistakes..before disconnecting the kites you should have changed first the leashes and after swapping the kites

I’ve watched the entire video, (before your ask) , if you want to be leached in all time you have to switch your leaches before to disconnect your chicken loop and swap it. It’s safer if anybody let his kite go and you can do your swap in every wind condition. You just have to be able to stay close to your partner. In the worst case if you are not close enough from your partner both kites could fall into the water without power. kites are safe .
Spiderman looks cool but sometimes you will loose one or two kites. And there is no need to risk it. Why don't you park you kite to the side, unhook it on the semi suicide option and leave it on the leash. Than your friend simply gives you his kite on his leash, you put donkey d.ck. than he releases his leash, goes to your chicken loop. Attaches his leash, removes your, etc. Thus you have always both kites on the leash or hooked, so you will never loose your kite. Weting only one kites comes as a gratis.
