- How to do Multiple Heli Loops! A recipe for leveling up your heli loop game 🚁 Even if you aren't doing single heli loops yet, this video will give you some great pointers for your first heli loops. I talk about new things I haven't spoken about before, such as: How cranking the bar too hard stalls the kite, correcting the leading edge direction after sending forward and more!

Highly recommend the Surfr App! www.thesurfr.app/gethighwithmike/
La verdad es una muy buena app. Yo la uso en mi teléfono, le pongo una funda resistente al agua y pim pam! tengo mi sesión completica 👌👌👌
« Start small in 30kn » 😂😂😂 good one Mike
😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's not wrong
Man, this video is just pure gold!
I've recently hit the 20 Mts on surfr up and this is Hand down the best explanation I've seen so far.
Thanks too much for sharing this advice with the kite community, you really are pushing kiting to other lvl. Keep on doing it! Some days when I'll have some money I'll join you on a big air clinic
Loved your explanation of how the kite flies during a loop - half the kite stalls and the rest of the kite flies around it
the most essential 'how to' big air videos on the internet, awesome stuff.
Thank you bro 🙏
This is the best explanation for heli loops I have seen yet. Even better than your first one about heli loops. I had never heard the part about sending it before the heli loop to achieve the swing, but it makes total sense. Can't wait to try this. I've been trying single heli loops for a while without much success, they just don't give me the floaty effect they should, but I wasn't sending it and swinging below. I also was cranking the bar really hard. Thank for the video Mike, this is awesome.
Thanks for the great feedback! Be sure to watch this one too. Sorry in advance for the shitty audio :P

Thanks! Glad it's helpful!
Super sick explanation
Thank you!
Super tutorial, very useful tips , thanks for share.
Coud be interesting how to doing heli loops combined with rotations
😄😄😄 Excelente tutorial!!!!! y nos encanta tu sonrisa 😄😄😄
Muchas gracias! 🙌😛
Very interesting , thanks for share see you in the Next adventure 💪💪😃
Thanks bro
thanks for watching bro!
Bro I love You!
What.? Settle down man
HAHAHA Justin you are hilarious! Thanks @irokez85 😘
Boom 🙌
Nyeeowww
What's the minimum hight to try doing a second heli in order to have enough time for the second swing and to be sure that the kite will catch me?
Thanks to your previous videos I can do confident send jumps with single heli and around 14-15m jumps. I wait a lot and the kite passes me way back on the loop. Im still scared to pull the loop sooner and try to pull another one, because I am not yet sure of the outcome.
Thanks for the video, big fan here, niaaaw 🤙
If you're in steady wind, I'd say minimum you want to reach is 14m high at the peak (on the Surfr app).
You could then pull your first heli loop at around 6m and your second one at around ~1.5m.
If you're catching a gust, you can do it at low heights (even under 10m). When you catch a gust the kite turns/flies/responds much faster, which is a great feeling!
I do lose the feeling of the kite while swinging under it from time to time and it tend to stall instead of concluding the rotation...what should I do to avoid it? is it because I don't re-direct the leading edge enough before initiating it? thanks
Mike - which smart do you recommend to use with surfer app? Thanks!
I've used Samsung Galaxy watches and Apple and enjoy both. I've become an Apple fanboy and love the Apple Watch Ultra. Battery life is solid. lasts me 2 and a bit days on a single charge. Best smart watch I know of :)
@@gethighwithmike Awesome, thank you! Just watched your short comparing the 2 options actually. Looking great!
You haven't noticed the most important thing - sheeting the bar out. My mistake was keeping the bar fully in.
Let the bar go out!!!
Pardon. You said this at the end. However it didn't sound like the most important
Geil. Thx
What's the best way to start practicing 'swinging under the kite'?
... It sounds like: 'send', then sheet out, to 'feel' the swing (?)
Don't forget to correct the leading edge direction 🙏
You can start practicing sent jumps with back hand heli loops on a 12m kite
Would you say you only need multiple heli's at 20M+?
I'd say they're *beneficial* in gusty wind or when jumping 18+, and you only need them when you're jumping 20m+. Definitely good to know how to do them if you plan on jumping over 20m
I'm completely 11-12m Pivot 9m
my biggest issue is that after sending the kite I often end up in an uncontrolled rotation which has cause me to crash backwards snapping my neck several times :(
Oh no that sounds awful!!!
top mike tatajuba is rullez
So if I loop it before I've swung in front of it I'm doing a kiteloop and I'm about to eat sh(t?
Yes
Haha yes your loop would go quite low into the window and if you aren't high enough to overtake the kite before landing you would indeed eat poop 💩
@@gethighwithmike gotcha. I guess except that if it loops it does so with part of the loop going behind you. In other words, for it to kiteloop instead, the entire loop needs to be in front of you, no? If it doesn't it's still giving vertical lift and it's a heli?
Sorry to keep asking but I look then fast around landing time. And so fast I can't really see what going on. And I don't like eating sh)t much.
You dont need an expensive sensor. You just need more expensive wathches)))))
Haha bro, that's a ridiculous statement. Actually you can get an Android watch like the Samsung Galaxy watch for less than $200. It's much more capable of other tasks than a board sensor.
