- Back out with the CTX... In total I've add approx 5 very short hunts since my last upload to UA-cam, 2 of these hunts were cut really short due to the Welsh blacks pushing me out of the fields. I'm still learning the CTX, I thought I'd learn it quick because using a Deus as well. I know a lot of youtubers don't like uploading unless they have something silver in the video, this doesn't apply to me as I like filming & sharing all my hunts with you... I need to give a shout out in my next video to "Tommy Turbo Treasures" Tommy helped me set the CTX on the phone for nearly 2 hours, far play on him... Please check out Tommy's great channel.

I have a deus and ctx with 3 coils and just bought a t2 ltd and a sef 15×12 coil.I love your videos by the way.Take time with the ctx it is an amazing machine but don't neglect the deus another great machine.Different tools for different jobs remember.

I had some great advice from another UA-camr.. Are you subscribed to "Tommy Turbo Treasures"? Check him out if your not, his last 2 videos are using the CTX, amazing videos.. If you are in the UK.. The pre set programs are not really for UK soil as USA coins are thinker, our hammered will be in the discrimination area in the CTX.. You need to join the Minelab forum, it is a kick in the ass as its £20 a year, there you will learn everything, & download great programs for the CTX.. I only have 3 set up.. No it's ok mate lol.... Pondguro is a legend when it comes to Minelab... Remember what I said about the pre-set programs... You will need modified programs for the UK... Best wishes Neil :-)

Its good that people commenting are realising that different machines are suited more / less to different field conditions. As a skimmer for ploughed land I would go with deus every time but for pasture the 3030 is king. Nothing is safe, lol
Sungle frequency machines may sometimes get the edge in detectable targets when they're cranked right up to unusable settings but nothing sees through coke and gives such reliable target ID as the CTX on deep targets in pasture - much less hit and hope.

Thanks Richard... It's been a big learning curve owning a Minelab... Oh I love the easy swing 45, what a great bit of kit, is that the harness you use?... I'm going to do a head to head video soon with the XP DEUS & CTX... LIVE DIGS ONLY.. They both have there strengths in the field.... Will the CTX detect a deep target that the DEUS doesn't?.. +Coin_meister North Wales Yes I us the pro-swing. I find that the deus gets copper and lead deep but not really the silver at depth. problem is so little comes up it will take months of detecting with each machine on pasture to notice the difference, lol
+Pondguru Outdoors Very true.... I have undetected fields on this ancient permission, I'm hoping to find some hot spots when I have both detectors with me... This video might take weeks to sort out properly.... :-)
Well went and brought a new ctx 3030 first day standard programs I was not happy with it all seamed to much to take in then I played about with it first program I made and il never have to make another it's good all round and very happy with it when u find out what parts do what it's more easy to set up then the Deus lol gl&hh Mark :-)
I'm glad you have one & like it... Delete all the pre-set programs, there no good for the UK really... You need to join the Minelab forum, great information & top programs to download... Take care... Best wishes Neil :-)

Hey Neil a great day out detecting along with a few finds can't be bad at all :-) See you are getting used to the CTX now. Would be good to see the Deus used along side the CTX with certain settings to see if they both pick up the signals.

I'm sure it is good learning curve and well worth it in the end buddy, Tommy is a great guy and always willing to give a helping hand :-) I think it would be interesting to hear the signals each machine gives off running same coil size and programs too. Having a day off today but no digging as my back is killing me and no medicine has come in for a week from my local shop :-( ATB GL & HH

Hi Neil I have a collapsed spine L2 & L3 and it's been this way for many years and short of having surgery which could lead to being in a wheelchair I just have to live with it for the rest of my life but there are a lot worse people out than me so I thank myself lucky I only have to put up with pain 24/7. Good video as ever Neil think your right with the ctx on pasture as my m8 kicked my Arse twice now on pasture even with 13" coil on my Deus only thing to beat the ctx and the Deus on a clean ish sites is a t2 ltd with 10x12 sef coil I have got a t2 ltd got it cheap as a back up detector took it out for a joke and I was shocked boost mode is out of this world I'm sure u should try one on your sites lol gl and hh Mark
Thanks Mark.... The CTX is boss on pasture.. Yes I've heard good things about the T2 LTD.. The boost is meant to be great... I have signed up to minelab not downloaded from no where yet I made a pattern and changed the settings .hate to say it but for where and how I hunt the ctx3030 is far better on depth and getting the silver and gold and backlight on and off in a second is good gl&hh Mark

Nice one Neil..... That CTX 3030 looks like a heavy beast.... You said on the intro that the harness helps..... With the harness how does it compare for ease of use?..... Does the harness restrict movement?.... I trust you are doing well? .... ATB Ian
Thanks Ian.. The Minelab Pro 45 Harness is amazing.. It has something called W8 Technology... When you hang the CTX, you can't tell were the weigh is lol.. It just hangs in front of you, then you only push the CTX side to side, it's so confusing because there's no weight at all lol. If anything, your swing is more controlled. My hunts have been really short, the Welsh Blacks are so irritated with me being there, I've had 2 close encounters in the last week, first one I was on my knees with the pro-pointer in the hole, I never heard one come right up to me as I was wearing my headphones.. Second time they formed a line together, & cornered me in a field, it's unreal as there only cows, I did have footage, but my language was poor lol... I'm keeping well thank you.. Lol... Typical... I still have the DEUS.. The CTX is amazing.. My mate Ian uses one (RAFMAN Check out his channel) I invited him on my Queen Anne field, wow he had an amazing hunt, he kicked my ass.. Saber Ali... Hi... 3 to 4 inches I meant... in comparison to the 11 inch coil... If Any find is horizontal in the ground, that will always be a better target to detect... I’ve detected coins 15 inches down with the 17” coil... The best coils for me, are the CoilTek coils... Epic!!... Take your time out there... Best Wishes CMNW 🏴
