the tangband chassis on the sub is really powerfull and well constructed.
I have one z623 in my bedroom and I have the sub under the bed... let's say I get free masage with every listening... the sub volume over half is useless, it drowns the mids and highs. Also I have a Z5500 that I monted 2 car tweetera instead of tge rear satelites that I can now regulate as the highs level (that z5500 kind of misses)....it just works! You should try do that and make a video with tweeters added.

I have the same 2.1 system, and I found out that the subwoofer is tuned high - around 45 Hz, so, it is good for similarly bassed music like in this video, but it is not good for a heavy low-bass / decaf music, because it bottoms out at lower frequencies like 35 - 32 Hz. So in this case it needs a re-tuning with a port extension. Tuning it down to around 30 Hz - it will be a little bit quiter, but it will sound more accurate at higher frequencies like the tuning frequency (overall enjoyable sounding) + it will not bottoming out at any frequency of the "official" sub-bass range (which is from 20 up to 60 Hz) at that power level which is just before it's amp's high-distortion / clipping point. Now / moment I have pushed inside the port a little bit longer than 10 inch port extension with around 2 - 2.1 inch internal diameter, and like 1 mm bigger external diameter like the original port's internal diameter (to be able to push the extension into the original port like 0.2 inches, have no air leak + stayes there permanently without using any glue), and added a basic flare to the extension's external ending - made of a sponge to reduce the port noise to an acceptable level - this gived for me 30 Hz tuning frequency, and the sub sounds / works like I wrote down just before. Remember (for the port extension): bigger internal diameter = bigger port area = less port noise, but needs bigger length for the same tuning frequency. There is somewhat of a limit if you increase the box size even if you increase the port length because the box itself acts as a spring which helps protect the driver, but if the box is too big then it's like running the driver free air and it loses it's ability to handle greater spikes in dynamics and overall output. They could have gone with a passive radiator instead of a port though this might have been considered a restraint to meet the THX standards (it has to meet a level of output). I've had the z523 which has a passive radiator, itwas disappointing overall, while the bass was good (amazing what they could squeeze out of a 4" driver) the vocals were horrible.

I sometimes don't understand people. Of course if you keep cranking it up to 100 the sub will distort like all sound systems. Why do you always have to turn it up to 100? If you always like to party alone, get a PA system right away. For this price it is the best sound system and I would say even better than many sound systems that cost 500 euros. I had a home cinema system from Teufel for 600 euros and the bass from Logitech was much better. The mids may not be that good, but the mids and highs came across well on the PC. I love music but I just can't listen to music very loud when I'm alone. Medium volume is enough for me. For this price it is definitely worth buying the Logitech z623. When I tested them for the first time, I could hardly believe that the bass came across so strongly and was really very good.

the driver is overpowered i have the same speaker system still sound amazing blowing mind sound be sense the driver is smaller another reason why the excirsion is huge the driver isnt big enough the like 2300 or 5500 or z906 those drivers are bigger but the z623 and z906 looks like are in the same enclousure with the excat same tuneing just more power and bigger driver

is it possible to connect 2 subwoofers without changing amplifiers? i have 2 logitech subwoofers and i would like to connect them to only one sound input, how did you connect yours?
Just use one 3.5mm adapter to two 3.5mm and connect both speakers.

I have the same speakers, there is one drawback, subwoofer size is 7 inch if it gets damaged u cannot find a 7 inch sub easy. But in my case if that happens i will take the amp and use it with a car sub

the benefit will certainly not be double, but the price will be double, also it will be difficult to adjust the volume, you have to buy an extra passive volume knob or do it digitally on your computer

Port noise could be due to bad/damaged cable. I have z623 and using two inputs connected always. One with system, Bluetooth receiver. I have had noise issue with one aux cable and I bought new boat aux. with new cable in place noise went off.

He has an aux cord splitter.Then has two separate speaker units connected to 1 laptop, going through the splitter. You will need 2 outlet ports to power both speaker units : )
