Common sense, profession skill and science! I love it. I relax twice a year as I have a rather loose curl and my stylist uses mild as well. I do a deep protein treatment 2 weeks before Olaplex #2 during relaxer and a deep protein 2 weeks after to maintain the strength. Other than a bi-weekly roller set I do not apply heat, I have a lot of hair and this works great for me and I retain my length. Great job!
Thank you!! I love the maintenance routine that you keep for your hair. This is key for maintaining healthy chemically processed hair and retaining length. Healthy hair, anyway you want to wear it! I love it!!!
LIKED & SUBSCRIBED! I finally experienced seeing a professional NOT skip basing the scalp & touching up the hairline L A S T ! ! ! ! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 HOW HARD IS THAT, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S A CUSTOMER PAYING 4 A "PROFESSIONAL" SERVICE but PERIOD really...🤔 I'm NOT a professional, BUT nobody should have to go to a salon & PAY $$ to HOPE their hair is serviced in the PROPER manner!!!!! 😡 This is the REASON why, after yrs of going thru that, i end up having my daughter (young adult) do it @ home!!! She had NEVER done so b4 the 1st time & was TERRIFIED!!!! 😱 I told her it would b okay & directed her as she did it & we were FINE. My baby rinses out the relaxer & i jump in the shower to shampoo, condition, etc. I did allow her to just do HALF of my head (FRONT then BACK) so she wouldn't have to worry about moving fast enough. I would ALWAYS have atleast 3 months of newgrowth so that wasn't a problem. I had her apply the relaxer just like in this video ONLY one half of my head & the other half the following week. It seems like ALOT but was well worth me spending $$ just to NOT receive the service i should've gotten at an HIGH END salon....😶 It's been some yrs & my baby does my hair like a PRO! FUNNY thing is, she too is ALWAYS trying to convince me to go natural 😅 but that's NOT 4 ME. 🫡 P.S. Knowing how to maintain ur relaxed hair is ANOTHER thing! I had to learn that on UA-cam & i am a faithful customer of the SILK ELEMENTS relaxer in the brown jar - conntainer. I ❤ it!!!
Thank you for watching and sharing. I’m glad you found a solution for your relaxer issue. Home hair care is essential, whether you have a professional stylist or not. Keep that hair healthy!! I’m glad you enjoyed the video 💕💕
I was unable to see my hair growth until I started relaxing my hair. Of course back in my time I use to get what they call now a silk press which didn’t last for more than 2 days if that. Best decision ever!!!
I'm so sad you are not located near me. The application is flawless and the philosophy is on point. I'm still searching for a stylist that will follow these guidelines. I'm about to go in with my hair already sectioned next time. The last stylist didn't base my scalp and I had my first semi burn.
Oh no!! Thank you for the feedback. I’m a self proclaimed lover of hair, so I do my absolute best to treat all hair with TLC. Maybe try suggesting to your stylist about basing your scalp and bringing in some product for your next touch up. Where are you located?
After going natural and learning how to take care of my hair. When I look at how long i used relaxers, I really believe I didnt know how to take care of it. Nice Work
I like how you take your time through her new growth, I’ve had a beautician rip through my hair because of it being so dense with growth, and get it bone straight which I hat. Maybe because I waited 4 months
Thank you and thanks for watching. Stretching out the time in between relaxers can be a really healthy habit for your hair. That should never be a reason for a stylist to not handle your hair with care. Maybe you can mention why you are stretching, and communicate your hair goals, to see if they are willing to work with you.
My hair stylist told me that my hair doesn't like relaxers, I told her I was getting them until the code gets broken...but until then my hair breaks a lot especially at the crown. What do you think is a healthy maintenance routine for a 4b/4c girl? Thank you, I love your channel.
Thank you Monique for this educational video,❤ but can you tell me how to ensure the entire scalp is based and what is best used to accomplish this pre-relaxer stage. Thanks
Heyyy! My bad for the late reply. If you are using an actual scalp basing product, all you need to do is make sure that the partings are no more than 1/2 inch apart. The base should liquify with the natural heat of the scalp. It should spread without effort.
Sis! I love how you support people doing what works best for them and giving them the tools they need to have healthy hair ❤
Yes ma’am! I’m here for healthy hair. It makes my heart smile 😊

It does look good. I like that it’s bit thin like mine has become. Which mild relaxer system do you use?
Thank you for watching. I use Avlon Affirm Relaxer System.
What product do you call a a filler to be applied to the length of the hair during the process?
I use the Avlon Affirm Protecto. Here’s the link amzn.to/3QXiFNa
I really don’t like stretching my relaxer 🙃 but I would consider my hair more Tex lax because I still have curls somehow
I love relaxed hair that still curls up 😍
I need to know what perm you used on her hair🎉 Beautiful 🎉
Thank you!! I use the relaxer system by Affirm

You can use the link attached to find it on Amazon. Thanks for watching!
You are the first professional that I've heard saying the relaxer is to RELAX it! It's not a straightener!
Big misconception! Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video ✨
Why not pre section her hair next time?
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll try to make sure I get the complete service in the video so it shows all of my steps. ❤️
