Hey sisi thank you so much for the tips .My story is similar to yours I relaxed my natural 4c hair after being natural for two years .Now I have shoulder length relaxed hair and I also want to grow it to my armpit by next year. Hope this helps ❤
Hi sis, hope you’re well. Are there specific products you would recommend for the moisturising and sealing? My hair breakage is A LOT, even when undoing “protective styles”🌻
Hey - So how do you wash your hair with freehand plaits? What’s the process ? Do you let it air dry and moisturise… Please assist, I’ve just started my first relaxer stretch, first time doing freehand. I’m struggling… it’s my second week should I be washing it?
Relaxer stretching entails leaving sometime before your next relaxer. Like for example if I relaxed my hair in the beginning of January, I will relax it again at the end of April or 1st week of May. This way I relax my hair every 4 months, which means in a year I only relax my hair three times. The four months is the amount of time I give my hair to grow,by then I usually have enough new growth/new hair to relax. While waiting in the 4 months, I usually do protective styles. So you can do things like cornrows, maybe braids etc.
Personally I keep my protective style for at least a month or two months. But I don't do this if I'm braiding using hair extensions (box braids) because it ruins my hair. Right now I've had mini braids (braids with no extensions, just my natural relaxed hair) on my hair since October so its been 3 months. I gave my hair a break from hair extensions. I do my hair care routine in the mini braids and detangle them every month. If you search mini braids on UA-cam you'll find many videos on how to do them & take care of them.
I’ve been natural for sometime now, would like to relaxed my hair again, but don’t want to visit a salon, because of negative experience in the past, would you recommend relaxing hair at home ?
You can relax your hair at home but it’s gonna be a bit difficult if you don’t have experience. I made a video on how to relax hair at home. It will help with the technique.
This was tricky for me as well. I’ll make a detailed video however the trick is to use a leave in conditioner, moisturised and seal before the hair is completely dry and to brush your hair during the drying process. This makes the hair dry as straight as possible.

what does stretching entail exactly?? Like what do you do with your hair for 10-12 weeks?

How to air dry your hair without it feeling dry and puffy?
