Oh Andy, I absolutely loved this video. I think you captured a fun morning at parkrun perfectly. Thanks again for a cracking time and well done getting Sister Mandy to the end smiling. I get very different looks when I try and get her to start running again at the top of a hill hahaha. Look forward to doing it all again soon 🤩
Thanks Craig, glad you liked it, as I said when I did the post-run interview with Mandy at the end, that day was "all about Mandy"🙂Such a great morning all round and fantastic for Mandy to get such a great time!
That interview, yes I was all over the place🤣. To be honest, I was so elated that Mandy had done a 2024 PB, that I was on a high. So, just for clarity, I do like cake, but usually after lunch - before lunch it has to be a bacon butty along with a latte😊
Well done sister Mandy! And Andy for supporting . Being a slow runner myself i know what she means when she feels like she’s holding people back , hence why I prefer to run alone now . Great video as always 👍
Hi Jenny, I was so happy when Mandy revealed that she'd done her fastest time of the year, and as regards slower runners, I think they're the real heroes, and I often stand at the end after I've finished, saying one of my sayings ("not many people can do that!") because I do believe that it's really what Parkrun is all about. I'll be happy to run with you too if we're at a Parkrun in 2025:)
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Well done for helping Mandy round to her 2024 PB. I'm sure the bribe (I mean reward...) helped a lot. I think they're trying to bump the competition off though as they invited you to a mario kart track and they've invited us to one with a hill in it that's named after you (i.e. the Cliffe 🤣) Really enjoyed this though. Thanks for arranging it.
Hi Matt, yes, we had a blast that morning, a great mix of athletics and hilarity (and cake, bacon butties etc). I was as happy as Mandy when she revelaed that it was her fastest time of the year (on that hilly course). Mandy has lots more potential and we're hoping to go for a great time in 2025 at Alexandra Park (super flat). It'll be in the 36's I predict.....:)
Oh yes she'll have a really good chance of a PB there. Its my current fastest parkrun course and, in fact, that is where my sub 25 attempt will be held in a couple of weeks (with hopefully some pacing support from Craig). If you fancied it, let me know when you plan it in and if we can make it we'd love yo join you.
@@TheRegularRunner Yes, that's a great idea, I'm off to Nice for the Prom Classic 10K between 2-9 Jan so won't be Parkrunning until 11th Jan, my own PB is at South Manchester but at Alex it's 24:54🙂. When are you doing your sub-25 attempt?
My sub 25 attempt will be 4th January as my availability is limited for a few weeks after that. But Alexandra is relatively local, so we are happy to go there any week that I'm not on call with work. If we plan with a few weeks notice I'll make sure we are not on the Heaton volunteer list. Mandy might want a few weeks of practice before attempting a new all time PB too 🙂💪
@@TheRegularRunner Starting the New Year with a bang Matt, good luck with the attempt, with all the training you've done, you should hit your target I reckon🙂I think I need to work with @SisterMandy on a new PB date, I'd imagine late Jan/early Feb, I'm in her hands😊
Andy, what a lovely Parkrun experience to pace Mandy and it looks like everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day! Getting close to 100 tourist parkruns yourself!
Hi Reto, thanks, yes, we had a great time, we were such a high afterwards! The next meaningful milestone I'll hit will be 150 (currently 147). I am running in the Christmas tree outfit tomorrow but that won't count because it's so hard to run, I'll be happy if I do 3K this year😀
Hi Mandy, it was a pleasure to be your wingman last Saturday, I honestly enjoyed it as much as setting a PB myself! And I think you'll just get quicker, well done:)

what a fun vid seems a nice park run with the large ponds
Ha ha. Bacon butty trumps cake, but yes you do like cake 😂 ❤

@ thanks Andy! That would be fab! Hopefully we will cross parkrun paths in 2025! 🌳🏃🏻♀️
@ No problem Jenny, maybe we could do one in late Jan/early February?
@@AndyCliffMTByes that would be brilliant!
Great video Andy, and well done Mandy
Thanks Rich, it's funny, I enjoyed that run with Mandy as much as I would if I set a personal PB, great morning!

Absolutely lovely video Andy, and what a beautiful park!!
Thanks Gethin, I'll be back at Huddersfield because it's not that far and I love the course and the setting😀

Hi Andy. Have you seen there is a new parkrun in Leek? First event last Saturday. Within striking range of Warrington.
@@edwilson5416 Hi Ed, I didn’t know that, I am now running out of nearby options on the 100 quest so I’ll keep that in mind, thanks😊
@AndyCliffMTB it's my home town but I'm saving it for an easy trip in the new year. Just done my 99th different event at Wolverhampton.
@@edwilson5416 Great way to celebrate 100😀
@AndyCliffMTB actually number 100 will be in London on Saturday. Even better.
