I saw these guys play in Connecticut, of all places, one summer's evening. man talk about bringing the house down. Holy smokes, what a time. these guys are really good!
my daddy passed way June 14Th and your creation released my pain for a while .....that's what it is all about and for that ...."Thank you" ....for all involved in making your music......
Listen to the body of their work; the jazz influence is very strong. Even the liner notes on Blind Man Walking reference their music heroes, many of whom are jazz icons. They are educated musicians, they swing, they rock and everything else. Keep those jazz influences strong, guys!
2022. My father who passed in 2012 used to play this whole album in the family van every time we got in. Makes me remember him. Best music I’ve ever heard.
This song came up on Tyler childers radio today never heard or them or the song but im definitely a fan now. Can't believe I've never hear it until today
compared to other nations bud. We have a lot of rights people from other nations dont. You read it wrong. And there are different laws per each state so that is a lie. Racism is still a major issue in america. Dont you dare try to deny that because ive seen it. Equality? mmmm not yet. Extra rights? For the most part yeah.
I got to see these guys at beanblossom. they were some of the best performers i have ever seen, and i have seen pink floyd, eagles, and the list goes on. these guys are very very good
Amazing lyrics! Where else have you ever heard, "Ya can't break a heart that's already broken" OR "I'm at the mercy of my DNA" ??? Yeah, nowhere. I sure do wish these guys could get back together, but it's highly unlikely at this point....... 🥺😞
ok so im in middle school cannot say which one but i am in my music (choir) class and our choir teacher, the lead singer is her son!! i luv cadillac sky is 4ever!!!!
yessir. Bluegrass isn't the only place where music & art intersect, but as long as you hafta stop for a red light... I understand the lead singer~songwriter is devoted full~time now to gospel. I understand that.
That song is indeed in C :) and the tuning sounds normal as per some songs you can tune down or tune into a modified tuning which I think the fiddle is however, I don't hear the other instruments in modified tuning.
I'm a showgirl, and I personally hate it when I'm trying to clear my head by walking in the forest and get interrupted by guys who make me dance in cabins for them.
Love this song so much but the video does NOT do it justice. Love the setting but the showgirl & the other girl dancing in the cabin just distracts from the song. My opinion.
I love this song but the video doesn't do it justice.. but I can honestly say a few things about it. 1. There should have been some relevance to the song. The song is about a baby born when the dad was looking out the window to leave, there was a cold mountain, and a hoot owl, and pale moonlight on a cabin, and a shadow dancing to a serenade, and a fire burning down to ashes... There are so many visual images that are available and the video is a dancing girl. Too bad.
2020, still miss this band . Best bluegrass band of all time
Hell yes I agree, top 10 best songs ever
Amen😊😊😊😊😊
How could I live 55 years and not know about this band? Holy cow - if you live in the south and you don’t like this, check your pulse.

Listen to the body of their work; the jazz influence is very strong. Even the liner notes on Blind Man Walking reference their music heroes, many of whom are jazz icons. They are educated musicians, they swing, they rock and everything else. Keep those jazz influences strong, guys!

@4satelites He IS the original guitar player for the band. I'm not sure what his name is.

Capo on the 5th fret and play in G formation.
I love this song but the video doesn't do it justice.. but I can honestly say a few things about it.
