You have a knack for storytelling, and the use of different angles & drone footage to capture your trip, adds immensely to your narrative. Keep it up. A mate of mine showed me how to tie that "truckie's knot" but I've forgotten how to do it. But I agree, knowing what knot to use, when, and how to tie things down is a good skill to have. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much mate, greatly appreciated feedback, each video I'm trying to improve. The good old rope is a great tool and very handy if you know how to use one.
Beautiful country, great images, hats off to Leanne for getting it covered from all angles too. Great job. There’s nothing like getting up in the cold dawn at a place like that and warming up by the fire 👍
Your vidéo is great, the landscapes are breathtaking in their beauty and their distance from civilization... I love your vidéos, I love Land Cruiser, yours is magnificent... Keep it up guys 🛻👍
Thanks mate much appreciated from us! it's good hearing that because the last few vids I've really tried to step it up and spend more time editing etc. Learning heaps and implementing new strategies!
Best video so far you have done (simply my opinion 😂) Yes Finke river and all West Mackey is a magical place. I had the privilege to camp on the bank of the finke with my family couple of years ago ( on swags) Palm valley is another beautiful spot that not many people visiting. Whole trip was on a solo car adventure and will do aging in a heartbeat Probably next time full finke NP track north to south. Perfect perfect perfect country for a cruiser BTW I have the same knife (cleaver) bloody good hay 😂 Thanks mate
Absolutely loved this video Brother. You are actually a natural Narrator hey. Brilliant on screen. Videoing was on point. Great job Leanne. Info on point. Scenery on point. We actually camped exactly where you did when we were in there 😂😂 Awesome trip mate. We’re taking notes for ourselves Brother. So entertaining Keep up the good work Brother 👌👌 Cheers Brad & Fi
Thank you, legend! Can't believe you camped in the exact same spot mate! I'm really enjoying the process of making these videos, learning and trying new things along the way. Getting there slowly 🤝
Stumbled upon this video on my feed and absolutely love the content mate. Subscribed and liked and I’m EXTREMELY ENVIOUS of you both, stuck here in Melbourne and no footy to watch 🤬. Btw, I love everything about your videos but especially the comments which are absolute gold when it comes to ‘AUSSIE SPEECH’. Thank God for the break from Yank accents mate and keep doing what you’re doing bro because it works really well 👍🏼
Thankyou mate! I'm really glad you enjoyed this ep, the trip was awesome and fun to make. The comments are always gold, cracks me up that you find them funny 😂 fair dinkum makes me happy as a dog with two tails cobba 🤠 Appreciate the kind words mate, always makes me keen to produce more videos.
Cracking ep mate, you nailed the "gangster" drone shot! I have been through the centre a couple of times, but we are yet to do that track. Thanks for taking us along.
Love it mate! you guys have inspired me to take it on later in the year. Bit less water I guess but still awesome. Can a beginner do it if you have a high clearance 4wd with recovery gear etc and and a support vehicle you think?
Mate that is great to hear, so glad we've inspired you to have a crack! Look I'd have to say it would be wise to do it with some experience, is the other person in the support vehicle experienced at all? It's not a terribly difficult track, however knowing when and how to use hi 4 and low 4 for example is important, Boggy sand and water crossings etc...
Here in the Netherlands we have the second oldest river in the world, but what is considered the oldest continuous flowing river in the world that flows the entire season. It is called the river Maas, or Muese in French. It is 950 km long and it starts in France and it ends in the Netherlands. The river is between 320 and 340 million years old. But the scenery from the Finke river is unrivaled. It looks absolutely mind blowing beautiful. Our river Maas is nice and it has a few nice looking scenery's, but it looks boring compared to the Finke river. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Wow great insight and knowledge mate, thanks for sharing that, the world blows me away and I love learning about it. The Finke is a special place and Central Australia in general, even though I live here the scenery Is always amazing to me. Thanks mate 👍
Bruz, you could have turned around and returned back rather than the bitumen!! Awesome stuff man, thanks for posting, great to see the country after the rain.
Cheers, I let them down to 30 psi hot, so roughly 25 cold in the morning leaving camp. definitely makes a difference in traction, comfort and overall alot easier on the vehicle over corrugations etc. Also better for the roads and tracks.
Yeah it's all sweet for now, I'm not worried, my 2008 79 had the original alternator right up until I traded it in with 300,000km on the clock. Maybe if I was doing bonnet deep mud crossings all day I'd change it to a sealed unit.
Mate, great trip! 👍🏾 When was that, still heaps of water? Did you do it from North or from South? Do you have diff breathers, how did water crossing go, any through ?
Thanks, this was last weekend, will be plenty of water for a while, it's all semi permanent water holes through there mate. Started north, standard breathers. Those watercrossings would be my limit for standard. I also timed this trip with my 40,000km service getting done immediately after the trip, fairly major with diff oils changed and bearings re packed etc...
That's an elite question mate 🤣 honestly it's actually rare for me to get meat from cattle on the station, usually it's camel if anything. The camels are absolutely everywhere and the meat is free and delicious.
@@OutbackOffroadNT yeah just noticed it because I buy the same steaks regularly. Love the videos by the way, keep up the good work 👍 What do you call a vegan on a cattle station? Hungry
Yeah I've got the option of using 8k also but it's really not necessary. I dont even know if most people watch vids in 4k, you need a 4k TV/screen to actually get the 4k benefits. 4k UHD yes.

Great video brother once again. Are there crocodiles where you camped?
No crocs this far south in Central Aus mate, they are up the top end. Thankyou mate 👍
Perfect timing fella. We just finished crossing the Simmo and are now in Alice. Doing this track in 3 days time. Cheers
Oh beautiful mate, you will have a great time out there! Might see ya out on the tracks somewhere. 🤝

I was wondering if anyone would, awesome mate thank you 👌
What a spectacular place! I’ll say this though, your videos are getting better and better mate. Keep up the good work, you’re a real one bro 🤙🏻

Haha thanks mate, it's definitely a top spot to check out! Amazing country through there.
Great footage, ill def add it to the bucket list. Btw exhaust sounds good
It's a must mate hey, thanks and I reckon she sounds not to bad at all. I'm happy with it.
We did this track a few years ago in the MAN (13 ton 4 x4). It was a bit scratchy! Terrific scenery.
Would have been tight in areas in that big rig! Bloody terrific part of Central Australia.
Perfect video. Camera woman did a great job. Thought you hated that table from the last video.

I was stunned mate! 👍

Cheers, yeah in the end the mossies surprisingly weren't bad at all.
Great country 😁👍

Great vid how much air did you let out I usually don’t but I’ve been told it makes a big difference thanks for sharing

Hope the alternator keeps going.I guess it is clear not muddy water. One of the first things I did to my Troopy was get a sealed alternator.
Yeah it's all sweet for now, I'm not worried, my 2008 79 had the original alternator right up until I traded it in with 300,000km on the clock. Maybe if I was doing bonnet deep mud crossings all day I'd change it to a sealed unit.
Truck looks awesome, what size rims and tyres you running?
Cheers, 285/75/16 on 16x8 rims.
Have you corrected the wheel track on the 70 series? If not does it worry you? Thanks mate crackin vid as always.
Wheel track never really bothered me mate, however I have gone neg 22 rims on the rear purely for looks. Cheers 🍻
Great vid mate. Do you get any rub with the 285s and no lift?
Cheers mate, she's all good no dramas 👍
awesome episode, the camera lady did a top job
Thank you from both of us, she certainly did mate!

Hi ya mate I’m surprised you haven’t got a tarp over the top of your gear keep it together
It all sits in there pretty good mate 👍
After seeing you do water crossing, I reckon your next modification after the exhaust must be a Safari Snorkel.😊
Definitely mate, I'm patiently waiting for Safari to release their snorkel for this new model.
I thought you work on a cattle station, what’s the go with running the Woolies steaks? Not having a go, genuinely curious.

What camera are you using, clarity is fantastic.
Well you may be surprised with the answer... all filmed using my Samsung s23 in 4k, I bloody love it! 👌
@@OutbackOffroadNT nice I've got the same phone I'd mine has 8K UHD FHD EITHER 60 OR 30 FPS, i'm guessing 4k is UHD ?

They are magic hey mate.

She will crack it and sulk
Haha, I'd love to bring me dogs. However, this being a national park that's not allowed, unfortunately.
