    For beginner sellers I would not be recommending Lego (especially expensive sets) yet to them. With such a low feedback score, big tickets items like that lego set is going to bring out the scammers. Secondly, being a highly collected Lego set, your are going find out how picky some lego collectors are, especially if the box has any damage or missing pieces. Thirdly shipping that lego box is going to be a nightmare for beginners. If you're going to enable International shipping on that Lego box, then that is another can of worms waiting to happen.

      The ones asking too many questions and putting in low ball offers could likely be a sign of a scammer, check their feedback score, if they have left negative feedback on a regular basis, just block them from buying from you.😊

      I think the story here was relating to the opportunity loss of saying no to an expensive fast selling item due to purchase price. I have no control over the item being presented to me in a thrift store but the premise of the series is to show the insights of a more experienced seller in helping fast track the understandings for a beginner seller. You didn't hear me saying lego was the best item to sell on eBay as a beginner...

      @ if you don’t mind I’ve got another question. I know you use your garage for storage, being in the Gold Coast have you ever had any problems with your garage being to hot leading to mold problems? I’ve thought about getting storage set up in my garage but it feels so hot and humid in there at times I’m worry about damage (especially to books and clothing)

    When I saw you looking at the Lego set I yelled at the tv "make sure all the pieces are there!" Then next minute you were hitting up the staff. Still a bit of a gamble without fully knowing, but still worth it I think. Lego is always good because it's a bit like Pokemon cards, they only make certain sets and coloured bricks from those sets for a limited amount of time, so even if it's incomplete it can still be worth a lot to collectors because it's out of print/manufacturer and there are likely certain bricks of that colour/shape exclusive to that set. The down side is the time it takes to make sure all the pieces are there and that all the pieces are actually for that set. I would focus on the Minifigures (Character figures) to start out with, most of them are worth quite a bit on their own. I have a tonne of Lego to go through before I list it, hopefully it's all there lol.
    FYI: there are other building block manufacturers that are worth good money too like Mega Bloks

    This is a great series. I can see Kate likes selling shoes and clothes. There is a second hand clothing rent a rack business called Thrifter which has opened a store in Mermaid. I have found some great items to resell at both the Kawana and Brisbane stores. I have not yet been to the Gold Coast store but might be worth a visit. I think it is mainly women’s clothes

    Can you add tax to the cog and sale price of the items in flippedit? Every screenshot I’m seeing does not the sales tax?

    • @TheAussieFlipper
      @TheAussieFlipper  День тому +1

      eBay sales tax would be added into the eBay fees section. GST has been discussed but at this stage we have decided to not build it in. It'll be a pre-tax look at your numbers. You would be able to supply the details to your accountant to work out the GST incurred

      @ will we be able to export our sales to something like excel or pdf?

    • @TheAussieFlipper
      @TheAussieFlipper  День тому

      @ at this stage we haven't built any sync functionalities. The next version to be created will involve importing your eBay data into Flippedit to avoid the upfront manual data entry. As such this template data entry version of Flippedit will best suit stores of no more than 300-500 items due to the time it takes to enter all of that information, not to say anyone could use it it will just take a considerable amount of time upfront for larger stores. Plenty of revisions of the program to come but a great first step for beginners or small stores to utilise

    I have to know…
    Many months ago you purchased a very large Mario plush. What happened to him?
    I ask because. We’d been flipping for a few weeks without my other half involved, he watched that particular video of you buying Mario and went out the next day (to our horror) and purchased a few very large plush toys. We tried to be nice but they went to an op shop after sitting in our front room for a few weeks.

    • @TheAussieFlipper
      @TheAussieFlipper  2 дні тому

      It sold for $125 within 4 weeks. I bought it because of the genuine tag on the item. Like anything it’s particular intricacies to each item that cause a sale to happen. Simply going out and buying random plush toys won’t necessarily result in any interest for the item as you’ve seen with your husbands collection
