Pizza Dough! Great idea! There are somedays that I know I’ll be gone all day….defrosting a pizza dough ball is a great idea, especially since I’m planning to can Pizza sauce soon. I still haven’t dove into Kombucha yet…. Not sure why, I have definitely fermented other things, like the carrots & pickles. Thanks for all your ideas.

Fun video! My great grandpa drank fresh buttermilk and ate cornbread with it every night before bed. 🥰

I try to keep fermented dill carrots in my fridge all the time so good ! Sometimes I slice them into then rounds and top salads etc with them. So easy and good!

Hey Amanda 8/10/24 I received my soap order from your website one day last week 🎉 I am gifting most of the soap, but keeping some for myself 😃 I really appreciate your sweet note 🤗 All of the soaps smell amazing 🤩 Thank you, Sara from Ohio 😊

Hi Amanda, you have great projects. I learn new things I especially like your fermenting content. You make it seem easy! Do you have specific salt measurements for the carrots and hot pepper sauce?

On average, I will use about 2.5 Tbsp of mineral salt to 1 quart filtered water.

I just bought a couple bags of what looked like nice small carrots for fresh eating. They are bitter not the worst but YUK! Have you ever had luck with fermenting carrots like that and they turned out ok? I have tried cooking them with lots of ginger, sugar, and cinnamon but it didn't help.

Try fermenting them....and have fun with flavors. It should give those carrots a whole new life!

Really enjoyed the video! I've been making kombucha for years also but have never added fruit to bottles. Do you have issues when cleaning , getting the fruit out of them? Also, another question please, concerning the fermenting lids with water cages. I have some similar and by the time I get the weight in my jar the water cage doesn't seem to sit securely in the hole making a good seal. Do you have this problem and is there any tricks or tips?? I feel I have to leave almost 4 inches for the things to work.

Whatever is left in the bottles is rather soft and comes out rather easily, especially with warm water. 4 inches is a lot for needing that much room..you may want to invest in some new airlocks. Maybe the silicone/rubber seal around the hole is worn out?

Just before someone else points it out, it is pronounced Sko-bee not Skuu-be.
Sorry to be such a jerky pants.
