People stuck in red because:
1. People scared of demotion.
2. You have to learn about frames.
3. Very high level players will start around red ranks when they rank a fresh character and you can easily run into them.
4. From there onward you have more unsavory behavior the higher you go like plugging, scripting and other stuff.

Yup I feel like number 2 is me. I’m at Tenryu now partially because I’ve improved quite a bit but partially because Jun is a carry warrior lmfaooo but I struggle with knowing my frames. And that’s something I’m trying to get better at because sometimes I just get dragged because I don’t know my frames and how and if my moves will land 😭
