Great suggestions for affordable scopes, not all of us have 2,500 bucks to toss onto every rifle we own. Always appreciate your honest insight on this subject. Thank You!
I just picked up two Vortex Strike Eagle 4x24x50mm scopes with 30mm tubes and exposed turrets for $250.00 a piece from Midway USA. Great scopes for the money.
Have recently purchased a HAWKE Airmax 30 WA FFP AMX IR 4-16x50, reduced from $570 down to $300. Crystal clear illuminated reticle with a huge field of view 32.5 ft at 100 yards.
I have 4 of the Sig Buckmasters 3-12x and the glass is every bit as clear as my leupold. They were on sale at Optics Planet for $109.00 I bought 4 of them for rim fire rifles but put one on a Featherlite 25/06 and one on 30/06 to see if they could handle the abuse. Not one problem. They sale a package bundle with a range finder that's calibrated for the hold over dots and they work.
I bought the Arken 4 4-16x44 EPL and using your code I got it for $299 plus tax. It is going to be a fantastic hunting scope. Thanks for helping your viewers!!!
I’ve owned most of these scopes- except the Tract and SWFA. The man is right. All winners for no- nonsense, get the job done. I especially like the Fullfield 2 line. Anyway, I bought a Sightron 3-9x40. Another good offering too.
Yeah, I always heard my Hunting Buddies talk about warranty if it breaks, they will replace no matter what! and I always would say if it caused me to miss a trophy of a lifetime because it failed, I don't care how many times they will replace.
I recently got a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16 x 42. It has adjustable parallax, capped turrets, and (most surprisingly) HD glass. It lists for $480 but I paid $195. I think it might belong on your list!
Athlon just released a new line of scopes under the "Forerunner" line that are sub-$200. Never had a problem with an Athlon scope, so hopefully these don't disappoint.
I agree, the vx freedom has amazing glass, and the weight is perfect for a hunting scope. The crappy turrets are simply unexcuseable in 2024. Leupold needs to do better here.
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I don’t care for those weird Diamond Reticles on the CT Scopes but the hash marks and just duplex are nice. The Whiskey 3-9x40 is a great scope though. I’m really wanting the Arken LH-6 SFP, my Old DAV ass can’t do FFP anymore on low end.
All really great options at that price. No BS zone here. You made me a scope snob years ago Joe, and I’ve never looked back. DVOR has Meopta Meostar R2 scopes on sale at 1,900.00 is dollars. That’s about 800 dollars off. Best glass under 3k dollars in my opinion
Hey Joe, Surprised the Leica Amplus 6 didn’t make it. Also, have you had a chance to look at the newer Tract Toric hunter 2.5-15X44? I really trust your opinions and am looking at possibly picking one up for my new 300 WM Elk Rifle. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Jim K
@@CyclopsJoeVideostouché. Not sure how I missed that. If I could ask. What would you pick between the new Tract Toric hunter 2.5-15X44 SFP vs The Leica Amplus 6 3-18X44? Already have 1 amplus on my wife’s rifle, but am very intrigued by Tract and what I’m hearing about them.
Of all the scopes you suggested , SWFA scopes are truly the best (IMHO) optics are made with Japan optics lens , multiple reticles & scope MAG/OBJ to choose from for $299.99 and $399.99 these are great scopes
Big fan of your channel! Question, which scope would you put on this. Ruger 10/22. With a Kidd barrel, BX trigger, and Boyd stock.. Hunting and bench rest shooting, normally a 100 yards or less. I'm not a marksman, but do like accuracy. Looking for exposed reticle adjustment for trying different ammo and reticle with drop points. Would be nice if it was light weight as well, but would like something in the $500 or less, but I know I'm asking for a lot in that range. Watched so many videos and read reviews until my head is spinning. What do oil thing? And I'll by it from Optic Force :)
Joe what do you (or anyone else) know about the Nikko Stirling Diamond 3-12 x 62. They are $250-$300, illuminated, and obviously have a large objective that could be helpful in lowlight conditions. I held one at my local gun shop the other day. Didn't seem like a bad scope. I read the diamond series is manufactured in Japan. Wondering if you or anyone else knows anything about them.
I got to drinking the other night and bought a trijicon accupoint 2.5-10x56. It seemed like a good deal thru whisky glasses for $615. What's the opinions on that scope. Love your content. Keep it going!!!
I have a Leupold VX-5HD 4X20X52MM with a firedot reticle! I like it. Will shut itself off and can move gun-(picking up, etc.)! And it will come back on the last brightness setting you had previously! Much more pricy scope than $300. Never owned a Burris as yet, nor an Arken or Athlon! Will wind up probably getting 2 of those 3 due to Joe's recommendations! He's always more or less spot on in the scope department!😎👍
