I like SFP & FFP when hunting with an FFP scope , their is no drop of bullet /pellet when changing power setting , SFP only really works on one power setting , change it and the bullet or pellet will impact a different part on target . But , I do use both scope set-up at times . Nice video
For PCP air rifles FFP is very useful due to large drop changes in shorter distances. At least that is what I gather. My own limited experience target shooting leads me to like having a zoomed reticle with measurements staying meaningful. 🤷🏼♂️
Here is a good example of long distance airgun shots. Requires extreme settings on the scope. ua-cam.com/video/r_mfBYDPlvY/v-deo.htmlsi=QenCfZYhgrN315UJ
Correct me if im wrong:With a SFP,if one dot represents 100m under the lowest magnitude,if i zoom in twice the amount then one dot under the new magnitude will represents 50m?and if I‘m aiming a target 100m away,I’ll need to aim it with the second dot as well?
One question sir- I have been using SFP Scope, and for instance, I zeroed at 40yards at 6x power, but as I turned up the power to, say 10x, the point of impact shifts! Is this normal with Sfp scopes? Does Sfp scopes result in change of point of Impact with change in magnification?
FFP no use to hunters, or anybody using a rangefinder for dope. Honestly, who doesn't? How inaccurate is using a reticle to work out holdover? Marketing in action for those who need to spend more money.
Great short and sweet video!
More to come!
I like your honest content. Been searching optics for my start at PRC and your Vids keep coming. Great job my friend
Awesome! Thank you!
I obviously knew the difference between the two, but I didn't know how they worked. Cool video!
Joe, I made use of your Arken discount and got an EP5, IIRC, for a bunch off the price. Love it! Thank you for all you do!
Fantastic!

Thanks man I appreciate the comment and thanks for sharing my videos
Change in POI when changing power isn't really an issue anymore, except maybe with extremely inexpensive scopes.
Thanks BossMan once again!!! 🎯
Thanks for the simple and rememberable information.
Glad it was helpful!
I decided to get FFP for my very first LPVO, & I'm happy
I have both. I’ll use them and decide which I like better. Thanks Joe !
Joe, which do you prefer for shooting your .22lr's from the bench? I shoot benchrest and prone F-Class type shooting 50 and 100 yards.
I prefer second focal plain as a matter of fact, I just put a second focal plane scope on my camper and it’s gonna stay there
Thanks for the schooling Bro 👊😁
Thanks cyclops
For hunting SFP. For the PRS game FFP, with illumination on both.
Right on 👍
Tell it like it T - I - Z Brutha !

I have a Nikko Stirling Diamond FFP on my BSA R10th. It's been a revelation after years of using SFP scopes.
Maybe worth converting this into a Short video as well

Just use th3 main dot . But y97 are right about the acaling

If point of impact shifts the scope is faulty
Jones Tunnel
I prefer SFP, glass appears to be way clearer
Bigger clearer eye box for sure. However you’ve got to remember your hold over when using any hatch marks as they change as you increase Magnification
I normally use fixed power and second focal plane
