Wow! Didn't expect you would respond to my request so quickly. Thanks mate! Flecktarn beats Marpat almost everywhere. Flectarn was developped primarily for evergreen forrests, or so I heard. I was amazed, though how well it went with your lichen covered mtn tops. It just dossolved there, like a ghost. Thanks
I've worn flecktarn while deer scouting just off hwy 120 near Yosemite and it works well if you're in a stand of trees, but the generally darker colors will make you stand out when you're in an open meadow, even when you're prone. It would probably be best used with a ghillie cape to help break-up your outline
Flecktarn won. Its micro and macro patterns blended way better than the marpat patterns. Marpat's black blotches seem to make it stand out no matter what for me. Even though there is black in the flecktarn, it resembled more shadow than anything else.
After being up close and personal with all these camo patterns, with these two patterns specifically, flecktarn has a more 3D color design that creates depth where MARPAT is just color on color.
MARPAT is a terrible pattern - it only works decently well in very specific locations. The principle behind it is flawed, as nothing in nature possesses the geometric shapes created by the squares; the colors are all wrong, too, and the pattern is uniform, so it barely breaks up your outline - not to mention it possesses no mimicry.
Do the Germans just do everything perfectly? Haha this was fun I’d like to see you compare flecktarn to the M44 dot pea Erbsenmuster that the SS wore because it might give modern flecktarn a challenge in this. 😃
@@CamoMatrix I’ll be sure to do so. Best way to find good images is of this camo is to search “m44 erbsenmuster” just an FYI the darker style is the more accurate one to the originals the Germans used.
I started religiously using flecktarn a couple years ago as my go to deer camo. I’ve knocked down a few big bucks one inside 20 yards and a bunch of does wearing it. I’m in central NC hunting mostly hard woods.
I see the same way that a deer sees according to several different eye specialists and I had a much harder time picking out the flectarn than the marpat. I based my ghillies off the flectarn patterns as nearly as I could and my instructors never picked my hides out.
I know this will get a chuckle from some folks, but I have to request this. May I ask for UCP pattern tested? Been playing with an I phone edit of some pics I have of UCP taken in Central NC pines, hardwoods, first growth etc. Grayed it up and was shocked , So, would greatly appreciate your magic!
It does have that “specter” look. Or should we say specter has that flecktarn look. As many as I have seen and cut out, they all seem to look the same to me. 👀
I have a splittertarn coming out shortly that I think conceals the shape better than both. It was developed in the late 1920's. Which is funny because I feel like its contrast feels very Kuiu Valo like. (kinda) Maybe I will compare the two.
@@CamoMatrix the only way to compare camouflages is to actually go out and show them in the environment. just pasting a picture onto a background doesn't show what it would actually look like in real life because it doesn't take lighting, shadows, colour editing and camera settings into account
Wow I gotta say Flecktarn surprised me on how well it did, definitely the winner of this one!!

I try to turn them around quickly. Pass it along, tell your friends!🙏

Flecktarn virtually 100% of the time. Glad I have backups! Low budget in general. Lot's of deals available per your usual online outlets.

Will do
@@CamoMatrix thank you my friend!
Be sure to share! Thanks for watching. Will try to have it today or tomorrow.

No our trains suck
Flecktarn everytime! US Marine was slightly just slightly better in autumn.

Central NC? Same here. Flecktarn has a good color scheme
Thank You, I've been waiting for a Flecktarn shootout😇🇺🇸🇩🇪
I like the design of MARPAT, but, Flektarn is far superior in practical operation!, those Germans know what their doing.
Flecktarn is really good
Amazing comparison, nice job 👍
Thanks! more coming soon.
Flecktarn works amazingly in Michigan summers
That lighter color in Flecktarn helps it conceal better and break up the silhouette
You should do Alpenflage vs Belgian jigsaw next
Wow... I expected them to have similar results, but the Flecktarn completely demolished the MARPAT. I'm quite astonished by the results.
My simulation may not be perfect but can give you an idea on how it will blend. Glad you felt it was helpful.
Could you please do a video on Alpenflage/TAZ 57? Thank You😇
What should it be up against?
@@CamoMatrix Tigerstripe maybe?
@@CamoMatrix Try it against Belgian jigsaw patterns
great comparison!
HAD TO WATCH IT A FEW TIMES!
What did you determine?
@@CamoMatrix obviously both work well, however, for image/outline dispersion I believe the MARPAT is a bit better,

I will try to do a few military patterns this week
@@CamoMatrix I really appreciate it, thank you, gotta send you some cigars !
🔥🔥🔥 should have it going monday with several other military camos. I am running them and UCP does pretty good!
Set to roll at 8:30am. MARPAT at 8 and 6 color desert (chocolate chip) at 8:15. Kinda a Memorial Day special
@@CamoMatrix THANKS!
I'm interested in the old swiss Alpenflage/ Aloentarn camo of the Taz83
That German stuff pretty cool
marpat is too bright for woods. more suited for deserts?
Close one but i have to give flecktarn the win just to say... is it me or does flecktarn resemble first lite specter? Pretty close.

@@CamoMatrix yes specter has the flecktarn look, lol i guess it has been around longer
Flecktarn for the win. Desert Marpat.. might beat it.
Very Close but I guess The Flecktarn

For human eye, Flecktarn is the winner, but if you don't want to be seen by a deer, Marpat catches up.
Flecktarn.
this is the worst comparison i've ever seen
I think my early comparisons were even worse.
