Thank you so much for this video. New to tractors and my Ford 3000 I bought two months ago and now I'm plenty busy getting it into shape for this summer of use. I've used your videos more than any others out there to help me understand the steps for much of what I've been working on. I do have a part supplier (New Holland) where I can get most of my parts locally just 10 minutes from my house. HOWEVER, they are not the ones helping me figure out what steps I need to do for many of my repairs/maintenance and I am learning all that from YOUR videos. So now I need to work on and reinstall my hydraulic pump so it would seem only fair to me to show my appreciation for the service you provide and I've just now ordered the "Hydraulic Pump Mounting Set with High-Compression Fitting" from your website. Thank you again for your very helpful and detailed videos.
I ordered your HP pump seal kit today. My 3000 tractor makes this a very hard job. The front-end loader apparatus is directly in the way, plus the exhaust is routed down and out the back of the tractor. Those two things make it even more difficult to do this work. Your videos are extreamly helpful. Thanks for being there😊
Great video. My 3000 is a 65 and luckily both LP and HP pipes are flanged and o-ringed so a little bit easier to install. The torque wrench does fit in there. My problem was the oiling hole for gear side kept causing the gasket to leak. After two tries got it straight, but the drive side for my tractor had to be RTV'd, go on straight, be bolted, and not be shifted any...otherwise it would leak. Keep'em coming, these videos have helped me a ton!
Dear Dan: I do not have a tractor. Even so, during the last months i have been watching every single video on the channel. Let me say, you should be deeply proud of your daughter, she is very good.
Always enjoy the Gingells' videos. They are both natural teachers and whether you actually own one of the models they are working on or not, there is always something to learn that will apply to mechanical work.
I’m trying to find the correct fittings for the hydraulic line. I just bought a new hydraulic line and need to find the crush fittings. I have the ones with both copper sides but my old line kept blowing out. Do you have part # for the correct one?
They do not use the same pump. There are some similarities between the hydraulic pumps but yours would not have this style of compression fitting. This video outlines the rebuild of the pump you have: ua-cam.com/video/ILaIk0D1_z4/v-deo.html
Great job want to ask your opinion my injector pump on 150 Massey Ferguson is leaking fuel needs to be resealed would it be better to buy a new pump it,s about the same price either way you go.
I can see why they changed the later years to just a bolt on flange that looks like a pain, mine is making too much pressure, had a new pressure relief valve and didn't help, could I have gotten a bad one or are they adjustable at all, my put another call into Dan he was very helpful last time I talked to him
Hi I have a question I have a ford 3000 like the one in the video what is the metal bracket above the centre of the hydraulic pump for your one has it to?
Hi team MY Ford 4000 is leaking engine all from around the 1/4 theaded shaft thatn you pulled in your overhaul of the pump >> I can see it coming from around the shaft? Can i pull this shaft from pump like you with a weighted puller, enough to seal ,wihout pulling pump out for complete service ,? Bob Nsw Aus
I have a quick question, on a farmall h or m, can you hook up to hydraulic hoses to each plug on the left side of the tractor, to create a 2 way system. or would you still have to do the standard conversion with a separate valve?
If my.3 point on a ford 3600 won't lift, is that pretty much the pump. I replaced filter hoping that would help and nothing. It will randomly come on while mowing but I can't lift for most times. Should I replace the pump?
I am getting a farmall m which has a 6 volt system and I'm wondering whether I should go with a tank heater or a block heater for winter starting. Plus how hard would it be to install muself?
Rachel I HAVE 1969 FORD 2000 TRACTOR. MY GASKET AT THE OIL FILTER LEAKS OR FAILS SOMETIMES. ALL OIL IS LOST IN 5 SECONDS OR LESS. HOW CAN I REAPIR THIS PROBLEM. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
Hello, I'm a 64-year-old farmer who recently purchased a small farm in Goodrich, Mi, off Dutch Road. My wife and I stopped at the Steiner Tractor store for a look around and to purchase a front tractor emblem for my old 8n! Inside the store, I took 1 photo of my wife sitting in a chair and the counter clerk scolded me saying, no taking of pictures in the store. The counter clerk demeaned me in front of another customer, and my wife! I don't plan to return to Steiners or make further purchases from them! Steiner Tractor should post signs that read: (PLEASE, NO CAMERAS ALLOWED!) to prevent degrading community customers. (Occurred on Monday, July 17, 2023)
hey i know you work on lots farmall, 8n and the like... what about all this china, SK, japan, india... and the list goes on... should someone start hacking and repairing this stuff? thanks...:)
Thank you very much Rachel and Dan for showing the detail info on the high compression fitting installation process.
I was telling my wife yesterday that I had not seen a Rachel video in a while. Then, this dropped. The Lord do work in mysterious ways.

Any tips on what to do if the high pressure fitting keeps loosening?
