the masks are for char clones, basically a riff on the original char from the 1979 show, its iconic for gundam be it the main universe or the alternate universes, its just cool, they do however try to put reasons as to why they wear the mask of course the most basic reason why is to hide their identity since the main antagonist is seen as someone mysterious, its awesome plus gundam is a space opera so yeah it makes sense that there are gonna be opera mask.
Also if you want there’s a video game called Gundam breakers 4 it’s available on switch and ps5 it’s game where you get to customize and battle with your own Gundam it’s fun you should check it out there also a dlc coming out tomorrow
Turn A is known for it's story to be really solid. Also, IT'S THE MOST POWER, AS IN DESTROY SOLAR CIVILIZATION LEVELS OF POWER. To clear up the Wing suit getting shot into the sun, it was to prevent people from stealing and replicating the advanced tech, not because they were indestructible. Gundam seed is good if you don't think about it, but it has been compared to Twilight but with mechs. The production also had behind the scenes drama, with the side-stories of Astray and Stargazer being considered better than the main ones directed and written by the husband & wife team. And the did release the movie final, SEED Freedom. 00 is a MUST! X is underrated. Victory wasn't well received because of being in the wrong timeslot, as it was to mature for the younger audiences and has LOTS of death fueled by tomino's reoccurring depression. AGE was okay at points. Iron Blooded Orphans is BRUTAL! FULL STOP! G-reco was a mess, but well intentioned.
Turn A is like if gundam was a ghibli film, so I guess I understand why others would recommend you not to watch it, but its actually good if not for its unique take, plus Turn A has the first black gundam protagonist and not saying this cause Im woke or some sh1t but thats pretty progressive for its time, when anime only had like white colored protagonists even until now, like theres only a few anime out there that actually feature black protagonists. Not to mention Turn a is the most powerful gundam in the franchise and a black kid is piloting it, like thats gotta earn a lot of points for representation and an ego boost. Also at first i found the Turn A design to be ugly but it grows on you especially if you look at the original art by syd mead and even buy the model kit which looks dynamic and is dynamic in movement, like bruh it could use its shield as a surf board, like that was sick af. Also the mustache design is intentional, its not supposed to be like the original gundam which resembles more the samurai helmets with horns like a reminder an american made this design so they gotta make it unique so they moved the horn to the mouth and made it a mustache which at first it would put you off but again it grows on you, I mean I quite like mustaches if not for school regulations Id rock one, as for the cockpit actually being on the crotch like that actually makes sense, since you can get a direct feel of the legs, not to mention its connected to the skirt armor which actually transforms into a jet in order to escape or used for doing recon before putting it back on the turn A, it makes more sense than the original core fighter which you had to remove the torso before actually releasing the core block fighter, in this case its just in front making it easier to deploy.
Honestly feel like the best gundam game isn't even Gundam, it's Armored Core. Which blows my mind they don't copy that formula or just have From Software make another Gundam game but actually release it internationally. Form Soft is even owned by Bandia. Idk man i don't get it, it seems like easy money.
