Even if it’s the one in Paris 😍 By the way, I’m Spanish, birthplace of the churro (though it’s origins are from China) and I’m curious about how they make those in Mexico and the USA. Anyways, I’m enjoying your channel very much, Mr Weissman. Keep doing this wonderful videos!!! ❤️
@@sonicfreak04 it depends, we have no coat (just the fried dough), sugar + cinnamon and just sugar, they’re normally dipped in chocolate, now that i’m thinking it’s either plain and fried or with a bit of sugar and just dipped in chocolate or coffee, we don’t use that much coating i guess 😅
The churro emporer resides at the san jose giants triple a bazeball stadium in San Jose CA. They are so good (fresh made always!), so much that they have an unofficial mascot and baseball hats/jerseys made with the churro on them!
Ok, but disneyland "churros" are not churros, they are too thick, they are "porras". Churros are thinner and crispier. Traditionally, churros (and porras) only have three ingredients: water and flour in equal ammounts and salt. To make them: 1.put the watter to boil and add a bit of salt to it. 2.pour the boiling watter on the flour(make sure it all fits into the pot, because ouch, boiling wattet), and beat it with a wooden spoon untill the dough is done. 3.let it cool a bit and put it in the bag thingy, as our dude joshua did. For churros use a smaller hole. For porras the one he uses is just right. 4.For porras you squeeze the dough into a spiral in the boiling oil and fry. For churros you can do the same or cut it with oiled scissors in sticks or into the more traditional laces (kind of teardrop shape). 5.once fried, enjoy. You can also put sugar on them if you want. They are usually served with hor cocoa or cofee.

That dulce de leche stuffed churro was a delight for my argentinian body. I suggest that you fill it using the straw technique in reverse, by filling the straw with dulce de leche/cream, putting it inside the churro and taking the straw out while letting the stuffing inside. Churrerias and panaderias here have a machine that does that for you, but this technique might work.
I have been to Disneyland before BEST TRIP EVER! Ride awesome but long and they I didn’t get to try their churros but I did eat these Micky Mouse shaped ice cream sandwiches most AMAZING THINGS EVER! Also bought a stuffed animal from the show lilo and snitch
You should give a look to spanish churros. They are very different to this mexican style churro and are also great. A much lighter dough without butter or eggs that is perfect to dip into a nice cup of hot chocolate or milk coffe. They shine in their simplicity, they are not spongy, they are crispy and chewy. If you ( or anyone else decide to try it) make sure to get a proper churrera (churro presser). A pastry bag will not give the dough enough opreasure and will leave air pokects that will make the churros explode in the oil and it can be quite dangerous.
Buy one of those hoppers that you can attach different diameter SS needles to. They are normally used to fill Jelly Doughnuts and Eclairs, but they would be perfect for filling churros

However, I've been watching your videos for quite sometime now because I'm a HUGE foodie and I find your humor hilarious, plus I love seeing your exquisite takes on dishes. I purchased your cookbook to give to a meat-eating friend that loves you as well, and happened to be the other only person I've met in-person that watches you. Unfortunately we aren't friends anymore, so I unwrapped the cookbook from under my tree and gave it a peek. My original intention was to look through it simply to say I had seen Joshua Weissman's cookbook, and then I would keep it until I met another meat-eating Joshua fan. However, I "fell in love" within the first few pages, and will most certainly be keeping the book. While the bulk of the actual meal recipes would require quite a few substitutions if I were to make it, the bread, pickling/fermenting and jam sections are a godsend. I haven't ever commented before but I just wanted to let you know that if a vegan can be a die-hard fan of yours like I am, you're doing something right :)

Ur my fav youtuber I wanted to get into cooking so I started to watch u now I’m starting out solid!!
I'm interested in seeing josh making something vegan just pure curiosity. Can you make vegan burgers better 🙃🙃
Idk how this guy isn't more popular, his videos are HILARIOUS and the food looks delicious
I recently bought the book, and I like it but I was a bit disappointed, and don’t get me wrong the book is pretty cool, but I feel like you left out a bunch of awesome recipes 😢
In Brazil churros are traditionaly hollow and filled with doce de leite or chocolate. They are a street food and there are even specialized food charts with equipament to produce churros, fry and them fill it in about 2 minutes.
da fuq is this “queue music” nonsense? I demand a slightly inappropriate yet undeniably hilarious innuendo about b-roll 😑
edit: hOW IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS?!
I second this, joshua who do u think u are

Islam is the only true religion. I want you to go to paradise after death and be protected from hell. But for that you have to accept Islam as your religion.

One of the things I envy from you Americans is Disneyland. I feel like we didn’t have a real childhood without going to that wonderful place. I’m 45 y/o but I still want to visit that place. Even if it’s the one in Paris 😍
By the way, I’m Spanish, birthplace of the churro (though it’s origins are from China) and I’m curious about how they make those in Mexico and the USA.
Anyways, I’m enjoying your channel very much, Mr Weissman. Keep doing this wonderful videos!!! ❤️
churros were originally from spain, and apparently they are prepared differently and taste so good
They definitely do, traditional Spanish churros don’t have the American sugar coating and they have a rich dark chocolate dip, it is amazing!
@@Jakob_Dornbrach I know theyre pan fried in olive oil, so what coating is used?

Do you want to accept Islam as your religion?
To make them:
1.put the watter to boil and add a bit of salt to it.
They are usually served with hor cocoa or cofee.
im so excited for this, always loved Disneyland's churros growing up
I got this mans cook book for Christmas and lemme say I love that book so many good recipes holy christ
Hey there Awesome Joshua and Awesome Team!!! Can you please do a video comparing the different leavening types…Cake Yeast, Sourdough Starter, Active Dry Yeast, and Instant Yeast and when it’s best to use each or combinations. Annnd another video on similarities and differences between Pat e Choux Pastry and Japanese Milk Bread’s Tangzhong? Tank You in advance! 😊
I watched this video specifically for the shaping tip size, and you delivered 👏👏
I got your book for Christmas, gonna try some recipes soon! Thanks for all the advice and laughs!
I got your book for christmas!! I was so excited, can't wait to make 2022 the tastiest year yet
so excited for this video bc the Disney world churros are the besssttt
Gave my brother your cookbook for Christmas! He loved it! Keep up the good work :D
Buy one of those hoppers that you can attach different diameter SS needles to. They are normally used to fill Jelly Doughnuts and Eclairs, but they would be perfect for filling churros
As someone who is vegan, I'm not able to make most of your meals.
I had this near the benfica stadium in Portugal. And the sauce was stuffed inside of it. It was magical
Thank you Josh!!!!! I am an L.A. girl that moved to Scotland and I sometimes dream of going to Disneyland just for Churros...and a pineapple whip...and maybe a quick Space Mountain ride...sigh
I would love to see a But Better on the Original Pancake House’s Apple Pancake. My husband loves them because he ate them as a kid and I want to start making them as a Christmas tradition for 2022 onward. ❤️🥞
This churros looks amazing, I share video to a family member, because we went to a churros Restaurant on my trip back home and definitely the ones I eat ( was giving to me as courtesy of the restaurant even do I try to purchase them, it was nice of them ,but they can use some improvement 🤫🙃😋) , churros as been one of my favorites since childhood .
Dude! That's a Brazilian way to make churros!! They have filling and can have a coating.
Awesome!
Your appreciation and non-dissing attitude towards the sanctity of Disney parks and their food is *papa chef’s kiss* 👌 I was worried I was going to have to come for you lol
Congrats on keeping your ‘Uncle‘ title! 👏🏻🥳
Mexican and Spanish churros are made very differently. In Spain it's just flour and water. A bit of olive oil and salt. Done. Delicious. It's done the same way at least in Argentina.
The transition on the beat is chef’s kiss 👌🏽
As an Hispanic, I absolutely love how papa pronounces Dulce de Leche hahahahaha great video!
its currently 1am and i know very well i dont have the time to make this. nice video
I’m not embarrassed to admit that I really love the Chirros at the Swapmeet. In those carts and they are still fresh, doughy and warm. They are like a dollar fifty and they are thick and long.
Those are better than Disneyland's

I got your book for Christmas and I’m so happy to have it now. The receipts are deliciouse.
Love papa
i literally just got back from disney world a few days ago and was thinking about the churros, the timing of this video could not have been better
Love your videos! Just got your cookbook from my mom for Christmas, who also loves your videos too after I showed them to her! Sending lots of food love from Philly, PA! ❤️🥑🍔🍕
Joshua, we were both at L.A. at the same time! I was watching your videos while there too.
My son got me your cook book for Christmas. I look forward to using it.
Ive made so many of his recipes. He just makes cooking so satisfying
here in brazil churros is street food. like i could go shopping down town and boom churros! and theyre usually stuffed with doce de leite or chocolate (brigadeiro) and oh man theyre just delicious
I love you Disney but the best churros I’ve had are the San Pedro Fish Market in San Pedro, CA. Warm, crunchy, not too sweet, soft airy dough with a nice filling. You have to try those and I guarantee you’ll like those better!
