    I'm in 4th stage breast cancer. I just completed 3 chemo s. I have two daughters same as old as your two lovely kids🥰. I followed your tips before going to chemotherapy and it worked. I'm strong. You are my inspiration. This month I have got to ultrasound scan for my overian. Doctor said cancer has spread from breast to overy. I'm bit tensed. Please pray for me 🙏

    Morning. I live in the UK. I am 55 years old. Newly diagnosed in May 2033 breast cancer. Grade 3. Started chemo 2 weeks ago. I am so greatful to you sharing your journey. You are so beautiful. I am of black Caribbean heritage so aware our hair grows slower. I will deal witj this. I'm more bothered about my eyebrows. I noticed your before and after pictures and can see you lost yours. They seemed to have grown back lovely and healthy. Did you use any facial products to promote this? I do feel that naturally you have a strong dark hair type. Again thank you. I'm fully subscribed ❤

      Hi! Welcome! I pray your hair all grows back well. My eyebrows grew back well after chemo. It took a full 6 months. I tint the hairs and now I have a tattoo makeup done on my eyebrows. I love it and wanted them to look full again.

    I have breast cancer stage 4. Completed chemo in 2014-15. Surgery radiation all done. Taking hormonal treatment I didn’t get my nice eyebrows back. Also hair volume less. Forehead big compared to before. Any tips if you know? Started to use Rosemary oil. Thanks in advance.

      Hi! I would ask your doctors if they have any advice. Taking collagen peptides can help with hair, skin and nail growth, but you want to make sure that that’s OK per your doctor. Otherwise, there are some really beautiful wigs online if that is a route you want to go as well. I use this lash serum to help my lashes grow and it works. I hear you can try it on your eyebrows too.

      Hi, I’m so glad I could help you. Eyelashes tend to grow in a cycle after chemo. They came in and then they fell out again and then they started coming in about 2 to 3 months after chemo was done for me.

    Hi Marina, do you have any info on the cold cap that’s used to protect your hair? Was wondering how it works and whether it’s worth it or not.

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  3 роки тому

      Hi! My cancer center offered Paxman. Check out coldcap.com and ask your cancer center about their options. The cost was about $1500 I think for 4 months. I tried on the cap and learned about the process which involves wearing it for 30 min before and I think 60-90 minutes after Chemo is done. The cap must fit very tight to work. I think it’s a great option if you want to try to save your hair. You will still lose about 30% of your hair. You can always start with their product and stop doing it if you don’t like it. You only pay for sessions you use it. It comes down to whether it’s worth for you to try it or not. It wasn’t for me but I have a really small head and tried on the cap and I did not want to sit for 4-5 hours with it on.

      Also for TNBC EC with Taxol does Scalp cooling helps..in restoring atleast 70% of the hair

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  2 роки тому

      @@sumakiran3751 hi! Thank you for asking! Yes, scalp cooling can save most of the hair. I did not choose to do this. I wasn’t excited about the process of sitting in the chemo chair longer but I hear good things if the money and time are worth it to you. Also, I don’t think there is a significant risk of cancer cells near your head so you should be safe to try it if your oncologist says so.
