Raekwon went on to speak about people like 2 Chainz and Kanye West being extensions of the Wu-Tang family, and he shared a story about Jay-Z showing them love pre-fame. @@6eostorm Lol Nah its true. I use to run with a few members of Lost Boyz and one of them was Mr. Cheeks brother. I also knew Cheeks. I met Raekwon's brother Kay and we became cool. This was back when Rae had Icewater Inc which later was called Icewater H20 I think

What's so shocking about that? Interviews cost money. As down to earth as the Wu may be, they are businessmen. You get what you pay for. No reason to make it a bigger thing than it is.
The wu Tang symbol is legendary. The Wu Tang clan will never be duplicated. These brothers changed the game and raised a generation of prideful and powerful ppl. Plus they broke color barriers in music just like Michael Jackson did.

Immobilarity was a great follow-up. The beats on the second album showed Raekwon can jump in any beat. His work on Iron Man and The Infamous showed he can body a beat with one verse. Raekwon is a great m.c.
Ive always thought Immobilarity was good…he just set the bar so high his first time out nobody cared about that album…

I was born 99. Wu is my all time favorite music period. I even have told my dad that wu raised me to who I am not him. And I love 36 chambers but my all time favorite is A Better Tomorrow because I was in highschool and I believe it helped me mature faster than others in my age bracket. I couldn't help but read his book in his voice. Haha. I could tune in to anyone from WuTang speaking and listen as if my father is sitting me down and schooling me. Young kids that listen to hip hop now should take head to everything these OGs have to say. They definitely have a lot to teach through their stories and their music. WuTang will forever be for the children, and the children are the future.

I met Rae a few times and he helped put my brotha Doey rock on from sacramento RIP. Doey brought me to him backstage at a show w my favorite group , Souls of Mischief, So both my favorite groups on show on my bday in the bay. When i hollered at Rae i gave him some music and told him i rap. The same way he showed love to Jay Z that he mentioned in this interview. He had that same energy with me.
