Very good work. You could have had maybe two more bowl with that piece, can you imagine? Perhaps you didn’t have the special tools for it. Their quite expensive I hear.

Really nice workmanship on this bowl, did the fungus effect the strength of the piece or only the stump itself. The white and black do look like white ice cream with chocolate swirls. Nicely done, sir very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this video with us and please keep them coming in.

Extraordinary finish....it's interesting how a fungus can actually complement the grain and enhance the beauty of the wood. Did you get a new motor? It seems like more power and stability for the large stock you turn. Best wishes and stay healthy.

Nice. But you wasted the whole inside that could have been another bowl.
Was this blank already dry, as no sign shown that I could see? If it wasn't dry how do you deal with cracks? I've been turning just a year and love it and seeking help and advice. Subscribed today!
Hey. this particular workpiece is absolutely dry. I try to process only dry pieces. If the workpiece is wet, then cracks and deformation of the product are inevitable after processing.
@@alexyevmen Do mind telling me what method you use to dry out the bowl blanks? I'd really appreciate it if you would...😁
I have already found a blank for this bowl dry.
In general, I cut the log into blanks, cover the ends with paint or glue and fold them in a dry room. The workpieces dry from a year or more ... depending on the size, moisture content and type of wood.
You can also dry in the microwave ... there are some nuances.
