my favorite moments on fool us are when penn suggests the solution to the trick, often times fairly confidently, only to have the magician tell him that no, that's not it at all. Penn and teller both immediately get so excited when they hear their hunch was wrong, it's honestly really cool to see how passionate they are
Bear in mind producers can tell them if they are correct or not. I believe producers wouldn't let them tell the method right away if they were correct, so in this case I believe Penn knew very well he was guessing wrong
@@gonzalogoded2089 that’s true. There’s even been a few rare cases where Allison gets informed by one of the producers/judges saying P&T didn’t get it even though they believed they did.
I may be wrong, but Penn not talking in code could’ve been because he almost certainly knew it wasn’t the right guess anyway. Congrats on a fabulous, funny trick! ❤
Yes, Penn is a showman through and through. When he doesn’t have code for a correct guess that he likes, he just has Teller draw a diagram in his notebook and shows it to the magician discreetly.
@@stephenbeck7222 could be wrong but maybe that (teller walking up/whispering in his ear) couldn’t happen due to the covid regulations? No idea though and maybe Penn did think his guess was wrong

Alan saying Alyson is the best in the business, her at the end with the cellphone showing she is worthy of such a claim, loved that, loved the act, love the UK bringing home another FU trophy!
The move was so appropriate and natural, you really couldn't see it unless you know it's happening, and even then, the card just shows up, like it still looks like magic, which is very very cool.
good act and a hysterically funny ending. I think the absolute best part was when you proved to penn that you couldn't move your arms by trying to hold the bottom of the trophy as you exited the stage.
The producer of that jacket, or those shoes, might be very proud of such timely applied physics like yours. Amazing performance, kudos for fooling P&T.
Loved the trick. Video editing prevents me from fully enjoying it but still had a lot of fun watching this and I don't know how it's done. Congratulations!
Managed to spot the trick but took a while, thats the magic of how you expertly delivered the trick with great comedy, huge congrats, hope the very best for you and your magic career!
Really liked the act! Made me smile all the way through, the comedy, the whole cellophane thing, Allyson's energy and interactions with you. All really well presented. Good job on Fooling P&T!
I just figured out the path the card took and I'll say the misdirection was incredibly well done! I never would have caught it without being able to watch it again. Wonderful!!
I watch a lot of magic videos, that is the extent of my knowledge, lol, I don't do magic. I am pretty sure I figured it out right away, could be wrong though. That being said well done! And no I won't add what I figured out, wouldn't want to risk spoiling it if I am right.
Just watched it again at quarter speed and the only fishy thing I spotted is at 4:54, where there's chest-level movement beneath the clingfilm. Dummy right hand with moving fingers perhaps? No, because Alan H said that's not how he did it. So I'm still puzzled.
Loved that trick. Very funny and entertaining. That's all I can hope for in a trick but fooling Penn & Teller just makes it all the more exciting.... cheers, and well done.
Amazing performance, and you're incredibly fun to watch!! . And such an elegant outfit. You chose a perfect way to keep everything wrapped together till the end of the act! I'm happy the producers are careful enough to edit in such a respectful way for the magic to stay alive. Next time you could try the same act wearing boxing gloves.. can you imagine that?? please imagine that... all the best wishes!!
"I'm gonna find that card again without slight of hand..." It is a magicians job to lie to us. Though to be fair, once he was wrapped up his arms and fingers didn't have to bend. And after watching the whole routine like 5 times including using .25x speed (slow mo didn't help) I think I figured it out... Brilliant trick, cling wrap and the card launcher being the only items not common to every magician. (Everyone already has cards, clothing, and a pen)
After watching this many, many times, I am pretty convinced I have a very good guess on how the trick was performed. Though, I'll keep that guess to myself!
So i sort of have an idea when things got switched up and possibly an idea how this COULD work... would I be able to create and perform it? Absolutely not. Lol. Awesome magic.
Wow, you'd think a trick involving cellophane would be easy to see through! It's just a shame you covered up that spiffy black suit, though, I think it looks rather dashing!
Great trick! Sometimes I wonder how Penn & Teller don't get the trick. Pretty positive I know how it's done but still a great performance and Alan is hilarious.

Allison’s quick thinking with the cellophane wrap at the end was genius

BRUHHHHHHHH
That is hilarious 😂
Oh cause its clear
Yeah, it's all over now. That's a wrap.
I'm not a magician, but I feel like the soul of this trick was in the misdirection and not on the moves.
Absolutely beautiful.
Misdirection is one of the primary fundamentals to magic/sleight of hand. Indeed, sometimes, that's the point.

We had to wait for it for years but this was the time when I first felt Allison was on par with Jonathan Ross as a host.
The card fountion was a great distraction. Love both of their reaction to seeing the card.
I thought the same thing. Definitely a well done trick

I feel like this is a hint as to how he did it. I have my suspicions on that too.
I'd bet double or nothing it's not the shoes
He palms the card and puts it under the Lapel of his jacket. When he moves his arm a certain way it drops from his jacket.
Very close and almost perfect, rewatching it I can see how it's done; it does involve motion but the card never moved ...
