My guess: he first demonstrates the box, with all peanuts showing. Then with the assistant, they shake and spin the box, then put it on the ground upside down (it had flaps on top and bottom). When he opens the flaps on the new top (previous bottom) there is a device (thin transparent sheet of plastic maybe) that catches the peanut he drops into the box. Then, he dives in, and grabs that thin sheet with the peanut in it, and submerges into the mass of peanuts where he puts the one peanut in his mouth and the thin sheet in his pocket.
I haven’t seen how it was done yet, but I’m guessing the peanut he “found” is not the same as the one Teller signed. Since he got a good look at it before dropping it in, he could have a pen hidden in the box in a way he could find and use it to draw the number on any of the peanuts.
The only thing better than him doing this is the fact he is gonna share the trick with us! He makes it look so effortless but still jaw dropping. Loved it!

POSSIBLE SPOILER: So much miss-direction aimed specifically at Penn & Teller. Why are the peanuts he offers to Teller in a separate bag? Unimportant. Misdirection. Shaking the box? Painting with glue? Unimportant. What was the most important moment to catch? What he didn't hide. He did the trick right in front of them without trying to hide it. He looked at Teller's peanut. I had a feeling it was something to do with the "whilst they're signing help me shake this box up" but I genuinely couldn't see how it was done other than a false bottom or something but you jumped in and the box fell over so yeah.. you got me too
He had the peanut prior to getting glued which he leaves out in his reveal. The glue was the distraction for both onlookers and cameras. The peanut attached to the rear flap with adhesive when they turned it upside down but the camera only focused on the pan of glue during that time.
WOW Eric that was brilliant. Your comedic timing and energy are a pure shoe-in for lead role as Beetlejuice on Broadway. You know.. if being a legendary magician isn't enough for you 😂 what a wonderful act
I think so. The bottom of the box isn't filled with peanuts. There must be a 10cm empty space with some tissue taped to the sides. Then he shakes the box but turn it half way to have the empty bottom on top. Then he falsly shake the box, glue, jump and catches the only peanut laying on the tissue while he jumps like a silly to untape it violently and all in one second, then keeps the peanut in his hand. Other hand hides the tissue to the ground under loads of peanuts. Jumps again and put peanut in his mouth.
Imo the trick was easier than many people guessed: There wasnt much space to draw on that peanut and teller's signature was quite easy. He could see what he drew while walking back on stage and he had 20 seconds to take a random peanut and make the same drawing. His idea was to make penn and teller think he used magnets, strange containers or that the box rotation was part of the trick. That s my guess
*make penn and teller think he used X,Y,Z* Didn't you see the intro? He specifically said he *didn't* want to fake anything. Just a normal trick, no fakeouts.
Worked it out, when you shake a box of light stuff the heavy stuff comes to the top, sooo, get Fabian to help shake the box and get a large ally plate to surface, next let the nut float down onto plate...the hard part is practicing the jump into the box and grabbing the peanut, easy peasy. Noticed Fabiano never gets to see in the box and when he gets out the plate is buried. Queenslander.
Okay but the signature was really simple to draw, maybe he just remembered the sign, jumped in, had a pen in his pocket, drew it onto another peanut & put it in his mouth?
It’s easy. Two key moments. Droping and diving. First droping with glue, and turning box up side down to stick to the bottom. Two diving to Find sticked one. The idea is good and performance perfect.
Gosh I have a headache. How many misdirections did you use there? I just gave up after a couple of minutes. The box, the thousands of peanuts, separate peanuts in the bag when you could have just picked some from the box or from the floor or have the guy(s) pick them for you, the thongs, the glue which looks like paint (that doesn't even match the peanuts'), the randomly selected assistant, the blindfold, the purposely wrong peanut at the end..... and those are the only ones my stupid muggle brain can process. My point is: you spammed misdirection so much my anti spam filter broke!! Also, beautiful act, really beautiful!
Well, exactly what they said. The unimportant part about a great and funny performance is that you fooled them. Well done! I had seen this months ago, saw it again now, still love it.
Congratulations on winning the trophy. I knew the trick was to turn the box 180 degrees and some barrier on the opposite side to avoid mixing, but it was still a very impressive charm and a great show that I enjoyed.
That was fun.. look forward to the reveal . CR's $5000 puzzle win.... bought those peanuts? I Look forward to this channep blowin up more than it already has my brother!!! 😋Congrats on getting the😏 F-U reward!! 👍👍😊
oh my god, as hes walking off stage you can see the dang maguffin sticking out of your pants! and yes, i saw the reveal before the trick, still a great trick
It's simple. The box can be opened from both ends. Top and bottom. The bottom side has a net covering the entire surface. at the beginning he shows the foam pellets by opening the top lid. Then while Teller is signing the pellet, he goes back to the stage and flips the box. now the bottom is at the top. He drops the pellet on the net. then while mixing, he flips the box again. So now there are only 1 pellet under the net. he jumps into the box, there is a zipper in the net. he opens the zipper and grabs the signed pellete and puts into his mouth.
truely a fabulous trick - and the part that made the video even better for me was you NOT spoiling the result in the title! too many magicians do that and it simply annoys me, cause while i dont know/understand the trick, it spoils the video and it takes away the suspense

Is there a layer on top like thin seethrough paper?
At no Time we See the top when T-peanut is in
Am I right?
Imo the trick was easier than many people guessed: There wasnt much space to draw on that peanut and teller's signature was quite easy. He could see what he drew while walking back on stage and he had 20 seconds to take a random peanut and make the same drawing. When he told you fooled them I literally shout yesssss at 1 am😂🤦❤️ lots of love from India 😍❤️I sow you on brain games many years ago😁❤️
I couldn't care less if everyone knew how he did the trick..
True showmanship and delivered outstanding entertainment.. for that alone he deserved it
Thanks DJFunkyChicken! Lol means a lot
Just watched you on Chris Ramseys channel, didn't know you had your own, your content is great, will be following you from now on, good job 👍
I applauded IRL watching this xD Lovely act, love the energy!
Well, exactly what they said. The unimportant part about a great and funny performance is that you fooled them.
Well done! I had seen this months ago, saw it again now, still love it.
No-one can convince me that Eric didn't snort a massive line of cocaine before that energetic performance. 😂
Knowing how he did it makes it that much more amazing. Nice.
I still remember you from the show brain games .
On National geographic
That poor girl in the beginning. Seeing a stupid chicken come out of a bag is the coolest thing that happened in her life.
That was brilliantly entertaining.......fantastic.
All these comments and not one about how good of a painter Fabian is. I mean come on, did you see that even coverage?!
There are some magic tricks that the show producers detect first, and this is one of them, just by monitoring the overhead camera!
This show is amazing! I love it! the mouth thing at the end is very impressive with a good surprise! Thank you so much! Have a great day!
Good I watched it. You are now one of my all time favourite performers Eric. Such a great act!
5:37 I think after jumping into the box he wrote on a peanut as exactly teller did and put it in his mouth
Good point...he also told Teller what to write, his initials.
Fantastic trick. I just love the vibrant energy. I'm so happy you fooled them!
This is brilliant.
It's hilarious.
Awh his reaction was such a beautiful real moment.
That guy is on something.
He's so excited🤣 I love it bro
The most excited FOOLER ever!!
truely a fabulous trick - and the part that made the video even better for me was you NOT spoiling the result in the title!
too many magicians do that and it simply annoys me, cause while i dont know/understand the trick, it spoils the video and it takes away the suspense
I love this mans vibe 😂🤣😇
This is the kind of crazy stuff I really enjoy ! Well done.
That made me so Happy! Also I thought you were off the TV show Pysch for a second. Absolutely Brilliant/Hilarious!!!
Best trick ever. So so good.
GG @Eric Leclerc well done!
