Merry Christmas! As it's Christmas Eve, it's only appropriate that I share this gem from the Jaco Pastorius Septet's December 21st, 1985 show at the Lone Star Cafe. While Hiram Bullock delivers a great performance on keys and vocals, the highlight for me is Jaco's bass solo. It's one of my favorite Jaco solos from the '80s, featuring a perfect mix of melodism and fast runs-exactly what Jaco became known for a decade prior. Enjoy! www.linktr.ee/jacoarchive
Yes, Music Universe's upload is from a 75-minute audience recording, which you can find on his channel. I used a 115-minute soundboard recording for this upload, and it sounds so much better.
