- Picked up my brand new 2023 F-150 on 01/06/2023 and ordered it in November 2022. Just wanted to make a video sharing some of the features and to display this cool color on the truck. Please excuse my speech as I don't usually make videos like this. The color on the truck is known as Avalanche.
My wife and I grossed over 170K last year and I still say these truck prices are insane and totally not worth what these companies are charging.
You are 100% right. Not trying to be rude to Anyone BUT just bc a person can afford the truck, car, motorcycle, house, does not mean you should buy it! If a Product is over priced for what you get Don’t buy! Even if your a Millionaire’

Just got my '23 XL yesterday, 4x4, Screw, 6.5' bed, V8 3.73 rear. It's my fist auto that's not a 4 banger, I LOVE IT!
Short box, regular cab, Chevy needs to take note. If you live in an HOA, this will fit in the garage and keep everyone happy. Great looking truck.
Actually Chevy have regular can single bed but only for Middle East market

I have a 2018 F250 with the 6.7 Turbodiesel. First thing I noticed when I drove it was how quiet it was. Love the Ford trucks!

50k for a single cab f150 is insane. It use to be mid 20k to low 30k not too long ago.

I assume @sgtdan420 is too young to have seen the car market in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Only luxury cars were above 40,000. And you could get a fully trimmed out full options 4wd diesel truck for less than 40,000. Now you can’t even get a regular cab truck for less than 45k?! FML!

Bought a 2019 in December 2019, brand new, similarly optioned, RCSB 5.0 XLT, 4x4, the sticker was $46k and paid $34k including all fees, including taxes for Louisiana. Amazing to see same model with a 5k premium just 3 years later.

My 2016 2 wheel drive, short box, regular cab, 3.73, tow pack, high pressure tires, 3.5 naturally aspirated is still awesome after 7 years of ownership.

Very nice. A single cab, short bed PUT is very rare these days. You're right - it is PRICEY! Dang. And I would also choose the V8 over the other, smaller engines. over 2 grand for the engine seems high. Great looking truck.

@jakk222rem ha, I think that's probably the msrp but I still can't wrap my head around a cloth interior, halogen headlamp, tiny infotainment screen, cheap wheels truck being 51k, in my head it's still a 30k truck. I've decided to wait until fall to see the 24 refresh of the f150, the ranger raptor, colorado zr2, possibly new 4runner and I think dealers will be more desperate to sell stuff then.
Very nice truck. The 5.0 in my opinion is the best choice. Not bashing on the 2.7 or 3.5 they are good engines however for longevity the 5.0 takes the cake. And that 5.0 is by far the best sounding hands down.
You can't get the 3.5 in a short bed regular cab . Only the 5.0 or 2.7. Go figure.
Actually the 2.7L is the most reliable. It has the least warranty claims even though it’s the most popular engine sold in the F150!

I just traded in my 2017 Tacoma for a 2019 Ford f-150 xlt 4x4 super cab and I love it. What a difference in ride quality.

Lol... same here Ken. My Tacoma had so many issues my son nicknamed it the Lemona. Like night and day... love my 5.0. Plus... that all-aluminum body!! 😍
@@jerryjeromehawkins1712 Lol F150 is going to be worse, Ford is not known for it's reliability. My dad is having so many issues with his F150, it has engine knock, won't go into reverse, and is leaking engine oil from god knows where.
@@westcoastplinkin6559 Hey there West... my F150 is a '17 XLT 4x4 Supercab 5.0. She currently has 87k on her with ZERO issues. 19mpg city... 23/24 Highway... calculated at the pump. But, I drive like a little old lady so, lol.
Love this truck and I know plenty of other guys that own F150s... fantastic vehicles. PLUS, that all aluminum body??? Love it!!
NOT a Toyota fan my friend. On a quiet night if you listen closely? You'll be able to hear a Toyota as it rusts away.

@@jerryjeromehawkins1712 My Dad's is a 2018 5.0 and has 115,000 miles on it. It left him stranded at a job site. Ford is simply not a reliable vehicle manufacturer. In 2022 Ford ranked 18 while Toyota ranked first place for reliability. My Tundra is currently about to hit 300,000 miles and my dad is currently using that for his work truck. Ford "built tough" until 100,000 miles.

I have loved my regular cab fords over the years. The last one was a 12 regular cab. It had a 5.0 and it would move.. But I fel in love with a gen2 Raptor that was coming. Bought a special order Raptor and still love it today. I would love a Raptor R, but I'm trying to pay off my house..

Nice truck! Hopefully the ten speed trans will continue to get smoother with time. Do you know the payload number and towing capacity?
The maximum trailer weight is 9,600lbs for conventional towing. The truck has a GCWR of 14,600lbs. The payload is somewhere around 1800+ pounds I think.
If you get the $50 snow plow prep option it'll come with the 9.75" rear diff. Then spend 1000-1500 swapping an a raptor front torsen and another 1200 on some high load tires and that payload capacity could go well above 2500 lbs.baaically makes it a 1-ton truck in a half ton package. Might even bump towing capacity to where you'd probably want a fifth wheel to hit that limit.

Not a bad spec. It's just the right size. I love the new Avalanche Grey. Looks superb on the Maverick Tremor. That price though. A truck like this should be $35K max! I know that's wishful thinking but these prices are way out of reach for most buyers. And in this world of high interest rates, inflation and supply chain woes, the manufacturers should be cutting us a break. But everyone's too money hungry so it'll never happen. However, if vehicles weren't crammed with all of these advanced safety features, I bet you vehicle prices would be significantly less. If you took them out of this particular truck, it probably would've only cost $30-35K. Maybe less. I'm sure people would be willing to drive a more analog truck that doesn't have so many electronic nannies screaming at them if it means a cheaper asking price.

That's a nice truck! Looking at the Tremor in this same color. Just gotta justify the 80k price point.
I know a manual transmission is unfortunately not possible...but hopefully you can still choose the 6-speed auto over the "better" (way worse) 10-speed.
I’d definitely add rear inner fender liners
First thing I noticed when I bought my Shortbed single cab 4x4 Ram Express in 2012. Ram was the only truck that came with liners and I couldn't understand why you wouldn't put liners in a pickup truck that could see snow ,salt, mud and rocks flying all underneath your truck.

What suspension upgrades are you planning? BTW I also have a short bed, single cab PUT: It's a 1990 Chevy 454SS (new 454 motor and R4 trans.) It still gets lots of attenton!
I’m building the truck for performance so I’m doing a 3/5 drop from VA Specialties. Viking double adjustable coil overs in the front with Fox Peformance 2.0 shocks in the rear with all the components to complete the flip kit. IHC Adjustable Control arms in the front as well.
Wow, I paid 26 for my shortbed single cab 4x4 Ram Express with a HEMI 2012. Can't believe the prices for these trucks. I'm glad that I have low mileage and I'm retired and don't drive much. My nice truck should be my last.
I’m curious to find out if, when trucks were cheaper, they compared to these new trucks in features or capability. That coupled together with inflation. I don’t think trucks 20 years ago came with 4x4 and a 400hp V8 and a 10 speed. This price makes sense to me with inflation and features considered.
just bought a 2020 f150 3.2l ecoboost twin turbo stx with nice wheels and tires, upraged headlights and a blowoff system with 55k miles on it for 36,500. I cant fathom 49k for a stock single cab that blows my mind

Didn't watch it all but with that 5.0 and 3.73 gears your planning on supercharging it. I highly recommend it. There won't be to many vehicles that can stay with it. I did it and will do it again
Quick question why is the 3.73 the gear to go with if planning to go fast?
Any 5.0 with a supercharger is going to be fast. The 373 should get you off the line better if you have traction. It will hurt you on the upper end but then your doing well over a 100mph anyways. There are many variables to consider though but you don't have to have the 373 to make a 5.0 fast. Mine has the 355 and lauches pretty hard

Yup it’s high! I’ve followed/kept track of the market for years and the MSRP of vehicles keeps going up and up and there’s not much we can do. This is what I wanted for a new vehicle though so I paid it.

I special ordered the truck. The Regular cabs come with a 6 foot bed or 8 foot bed but mine has the 6 foot so it looks more proportional to the cab. The crew cab actually has a shorter 5'5 bed. The truck came with a trailer hitch and I think it’s due to the way I configured it but I had the option to delete it.
love it just need a 3.0L straight 6 diesel under the hood and ill be happy
I wonder if you can put some raptor head and tailights a lariat or platinum dash and armrest and putting some power on it slam it put some 21’s some Toyo proxes or Mickey Thompson’s a good sound system some and that would be my dream truck 🙂
I plan on doing Raptor headlights and fog lights to match. I also plan on doing the big 12in screen and leather seats. Sound system as well.

In Normal driving modes and Eco it using CD. In sport and other driving modes i believe it doesn’t.

I got a single cab 2023 2wd 5.0 in antimatter blue 2 weeks in it rained ND water got inside cab under break/gas pedals floor board waiting to be fixed a 2nd time at a different dealership

You forgot to mention something about it...That lightweight SCSB with that modern 5.0.... It'll haul ass! And with a tune on E85... You'll be surprising sports and muscle cars.
That’s why I got it lol. Besides my work truck it’s all I drive around town and it’s a very fun truck. Haven’t tuned it yet but I will eventually.

what is the 0-60 on the 5.0?
Put in a K&N cold air intake and a Magniflow 4” dual exhaust and you’ll notice more hp, torque and mpg

It was pretty quick. I ordered around November 11th 2022 and it came in January 6th 2023.
