    This movie is a great example of how ignoring the source material doesn’t always make a bad movie if the writers and directors put some effort into it

    Probably one of the very few times - if not the singular time - that I see Angelina Jolie's character die. I had to admit, that sort of surprised me at the time.

      One of the few roles where I actually enjoyed her acting. She is not bad in most movies but she is not great either. Putting the movie's sillyness aside, she did an amazing job with her character.

    Wesley could’ve made the argument that their name came up only after Sloans did.
    Fate wanted them dead only because they were going Sloans dirty business. They could redeem themselves if they got rid of Sloan.

      While that would've been a good argument to bring up, there's only one thing: we don't know for sure if Sloan's name came up before their's.
      Now I 100% believe that Sloan is responsible for dooming all of them because he saw his name come up, but it could've turned out that Sloan had seen everyone else's names come up, and refused to do it because he became attached to the Fraternity members. Then fate punished him by putting his name in the kill order.
      Just an interesting thought that would've made the whole dilemma a bit more juicy. But, yeah. My money does go to Sloan's selfishness, getting him and his followers doomed.

    if you think about it sloan's kill order from fate is an example of the chicken or the egg paradox. fate probably wanted sloan dead cause it thought sloan would betray the code but at the same time giving that kill order is what caused sloan to betray the code in the first place.

    so is it like a magic bullet too? cus even if she could curve it wouldnt it lose a lot of energy and trajectory after even like ONE person? pretty sure skull bone is pretty dense but now idk lol

    • @anjelica948
      @anjelica948 7 днів тому +1

      Absolutely, but it also does somewhat depend on the caliber of the bullet, bc the larger the bullet, the more mass, and therefore, the further it can penetrate. And it does also depend on where the bullet hits, bc the bone that covers the temple is actually very thin, compared to the rest of the skull.
      However, even if you took out the bending bullet part, it still wouldn’t work, either bc of a lack of force, or because gravity would eventually pull the bullet down, and thus ruining a kill shot (this is also why snipers tend to have to aim much higher than their actual target, to account for gravity.)

      They are magic bullets to do the bending thing in the first place. The whole premise of bending the bullet path is bullshit physics so why not that too?

    • @grim6387
      @grim6387 4 дні тому

      @@John_Ridley With that logic, it's hard to justify doing anything that doesn't make sense in our respective reality and its rules
      Various fiction creations, especially like this one operate with a different set of rules for their universe obviously. However, I believe it's a spectrum as opposed to just being black and white. Take something seen as magical like a person being able to light things on fire with their mind. You don't HAVE to try and explain that since(to my knowledge at least), humans just cannot do that whatsoever. And you might think it's pointless to make up a reason for it.
      Personally though, I find it more interesting to say.. that the "fire person" creates fire with telekinesis; he or she uses telekinesis to vibrate molecules at a rapid speed which can light certain objects on fire. It makes at least a little sense right? Of course, it's a matter of where you draw the line right? Because now you might ask "why does this person know how to move things with their mind?" and you have a whole new dilemma/opportunity on your hands.
      I just personally think it's more entertaining to explore the properties of what makes the magic possible, WITHIN the confines of the reality the creator has made for themselves and the audience. Despite it not being possible within the confines of our reality.

    Light bends around a black hole.. and bullets do bend due to gravity. If you're in a desert and you fire your gun in any direction. The bullet doesn't go on forever. It eventually falls to the ground (bends down)
