You are really a master of video scripting and marketing. You have the ability to turn complex things to simple concepts, but most importantly to turn those simple concepts to a masterpiece of attention grabbing and holding, that is actually nice to watch and calming. keep grinding. ❤
Only 4 mins and I am fully ready and motivated to shoot my video tomorrow. This is a wholesome gem video for people like us who want to do UA-cam but always fail to. THANK YOU! Aprilyne❤. Keep Motivating Please
Thats a great video Aprilynne! Really high quality both in production and 'delivery'. So much work has gone into this, and I appreciate it. 100/100, thanks 🙂
Highlight of the day is when there's a notification on the bell and its one of your videos. The information, the editting and the way its all presented is a masterclass in how to get the message across. Thanks! 🙏
I haven't published anything in forever but it's a good time to come back better. Working on my script right now. Aiming to publish on January 2, 2025. 💫
Who would not want to watch this creative idea?❤❤❤Awesome. Wow!!! That’s a great content layout and idea.. The phasing is just amazing. You’re great girl 👌👌👌
I recently got recommended your channel and I've been binging some of your vids. All of them are packed with so much amazing info that I can't even imagine how long it would take to come up with a single vid. Idk how you do it but so glad you are doing it. Just wanted to thank you for all the amazing sharing and looking forward to your future vids❤️🔥❤️🔥
Great video, April !😃 I am lapping up a lot of this type of content as I am going to be tentatively stepping into the world of content creation, once my budget set up all gets delivered in Jan! (I've managed to get a PC with 32GB Ram, because my current 4GB will not be sufficient for even basic editing software so I found out, a very cheap video camera, desktop mic and a tripod all for under £450 or roughly $700!). I wish you and everyone else on here on a similar path, all the continued growth and success for the future! 🙂👌
I made the decision of pressing record & hitting publish, and and happy to have done that. Even though I'm not so cool with the progress yet, believe I'm getting there .... One step at a time ❤
Another terrific video! Your vids are so informative and engaging to watch. I had to laugh when you said filming was the hard part. I find filming relatively easy - it’s the editing step where I tend to procrastinate and grumble the whole time, and inevitably rush it cuz I just want to be done with it. 😆 You do an inspiring job with yours.
Wow! I definitely look forward to filming the least - I have to hype myself up a TON in order to get it done. Editing is actually one of my favorite parts - I just get to sit back with some tea and edit away!
you won't believe me but I was just thinking about your challenge an hour ago litritlty I was like sad because you didn't upload but to my surprise you did !!!really good job wish you the best 😊
Still watching this awesome video from the beautiful Aprilynne even though my first video was originally a video in the gardening niche in 2022 on a previous channel that I have deleted. Love 🥰 this video and looking forward to the other 2 videos Aprilynne has planned in her 4 videos in 28 days challenge (She can do it). Love 💕 Aprilynne.
Great video, as usual...but I do wish there was a section on "Where will I upload this to?" Should you start a new channel, or should you just use the same channel you watch UA-cam with. If you are going to pick some sort of niche, how should the name of the channel reflect that? I think this is one of my personal biggest barriers, because I have like 5 different ideas for what the channel should be called...also, the last step, when you upload, it would be great to see how you actually do that part...
Thank you for your feedback! I’d say just use the same channel you watch UA-cam with (the algorithms are completely different). And channel name is something you can always change later, but the easiest way to go is just using your name as the channel name! That way, if your niche changes over time, your channel name is consistent
Hey Alter, here's my opinion on this video. After watching the whole video, I genuinely feel that this was JUST an overview on making videos for UA-cam. Though it was a mistake to put the Titles and Thumbnails at the foremost and NOT at the last. Overall, I genuinely didn't find Enough information to MAKE IT ON UA-cam. But, I appreciate your efforts for the Editing part.
I have a lot of other videos on my channel that focus on UA-cam growth! This video was specifically meant to help beginners get STARTED, an often putting too much emphasis on strategy & growth is what prevents them from making their FIRST UA-cam video to begin with!
It’s definitely possible! But I usually recommend people don’t go into it with those types of expectations - it can make it feel like there’s too much pressure placed on their first video to succeed, which can make it feel even harder to start!
I already have a very successful UA-cam channel and I am now about to start a new channel of my own which will also feature my face.Since the day I made this comment, it has more than 200k subscribers and I want to start a new channel in which I myself am also a channel with like faces. This channel is my faceless, so what do you guys think? 🎉
Hey Aprilynne, I'm a huge fan and I think your tips are very useful. But my problem is I'm a gaming channel without showing my face or voice, so what can I do ?
So many of the same principles apply! Even without your face or voice, think about why someone would watch. What type of value are they getting from the video? Based on that, what’s the promise, progress, and payoff you can set up? Those points won’t be expressed with your face or voice, but they should still be there in the edit
Is it a good idea to "go big" on the first video? I have a lot of ideas that I think would be very good, but I am scared that if I go for the big idea as my first video it won't reach anyone as my UA-cam channel is not established yet
I’d say the biggest priority is just getting SOMETHING out. If the pressure or fear behind making a “big” video is holding you back from starting, I’d pick a smaller idea that feels easier to execute!
I noticed that even after 1 hour of publishing the video this very video has only 345 views even though she has 60k+ subs. her Highest viewed video has 1M+ views which killer intro. Her content is good but the style is exactly similar from rest of the videos. It also feels like she is repeating all the stuff. No hatred towards her actually her videos helped me a lot but when I saw the video and uploaded time with only 345 views even though she has 60k+ subs I think viewers are getting bored with this style. Even her thumbnails are almost similar. I could be wrong though but that's what I think...
I appreciate your thoughts, but that first hour performance is actually quite normal for my channel! Most of my videos get the majority of their views up to a few weeks AFTER a video is first uploaded My hypothesis is that because this video is so beginner-focused, while a lot of my core audience is more immediate, it’ll have a slow start but will grow more over time from SEO A lot of people ask me how to make their first UA-cam video, so I wanted to add something very beginner-focused to my catalog of videos :)
Personally I think channel focus is overrated. It takes a while to get good at edting and learning to record. The more you do it the better. If you know your focus even better but just start getting the reps in.
You definitely learn so much just by doing!! And oftentimes, you only really discover what you want your niche to be after the process of making videos for a while
I love that Gling has sponsored a few of your videos. 1) You deserve it 2) Gling is AMAZING and saves so much time!
Ahhh right?!? I’m such a fan of their product, and it’s SO FRICKIN COOL that they’re able to sponsor these videos!!!

there is no way you dropped this video at the PERFECT time , thank you so much ! My goal is to film and publish my first video before 2025

I agree - I have watched so many, but 'accidentally' came across this one, and I am hooked! Great teacher.

Picking your Niche is the right thing to start with

Amazing editing! Did you edit this yourself?
Thank you!! This video was edited by a combination of me and my producer :)
Thank you! good vid!
So glad you liked it!
Im going to post my second video by December 29th!
How to you make these checkbox , flowchart and animation thing... Davinci?
@Aprilynne Alter
True you don’t need expensive equipment to make a video. I personally think limitations bring out creativity.
It’s truly wild how much is possible using just the equipment we have!
So great video 😊
Thank you!!
Fun Fact!
Some small creators that I know had 3K Subs in a Month because the creator didn't expect that to happen over a 1st video to blow up.
It’s definitely possible! But I usually recommend people don’t go into it with those types of expectations - it can make it feel like there’s too much pressure placed on their first video to succeed, which can make it feel even harder to start!
