    I use 10lb braid bc I have one multi species rod which is that and my catfish rod with 20lb braid both rods are perfect and I catch unlimited fish🤝🏾 find what works for youuuuuu Anglers

    Damn that’s a heavy line for crappies I don’t use pass 4 pound test for Pan fish

      I am fishing heavy brush piles. If I used 4-10 mono I would break off every time I got hung up. Nobody wants to do that

      Here in Texas we fish heavy structure. Lots of braid and heavy mono leaders being used.

    When you are teasing crappie out of brush, timber or rip rap you want just heavy enough line that you can straighten out your light wire jig hooks if you hang em up. I use 10 lb maxima chameleon, i would say its comperable to 15lb big game as far as strength

      I use 10# braid because of the heavy brushpiles I fish. I run the braid to a 12# mono leader, and 90% of the time if I do get hung up, it breaks at the mono so I’m not re Riggin my whole rig back up, just leader and hook.

      No. You take your BIC lighter and take the temper out of only the bend of the hook, so when ya snag up, ya just pull it out...hook straightens out and you'll probably loose your minnow, but you won't disturb the school. Resend, rebait, and get back in there!

    Some heavy lines for crappie. I prefer 2-4 lb line.

      I would never sue 2-4 pound mono on heavy brush piles. I would break off every time I got hung up!

      @@903fishing has never been an issue for me. Even with my spider rig with my rods. All 2-4 lb lines.

    Why is he using such heavy line i dont go over 6 pound for crappie 8 pound for walleye and 20 pound for pike and musky

      I am using heavy line because I am fishing heavy brush 95% of the time. Use 6 pound mono and you lose your whole rig every time you get hung up. Lol

      Yes sir. I use braid because we fish heavy structure in Texas. I also use that mono leader so when I get hung up in the brush, only the mono leader breaks off. And I have to re tie my mono leader and hook. Not my whole slip cork setup. It works. Go watch a video or two.

      @@Outlawdllc u must of took a lil bit of everything growing up. Sorry it got u so upset, to hear someone using a braid for crappie is unheard of but then again I'm not from Texas n also if ur not good with yo aim then I don't recommend a gun. 😂

    Why use 10# when you aren't gonna get 10# crappie. Use 4 to 6 at most

      Lol I actually use 10# braid with mono leader. you must live up north. We fish heavy structure in Texas, brushpiles, stumps log jams etc. if I used 4-6 pound mono I would break off every single time I got hung up!

      12# mono leader. Yes if I get hung up in the brush, that leader will break off and all you have to rig back up is your leader and hook.

      I fish with 10 lb for walleye, largemouth, and catfish lol. For crappie I fish 8-4 lb, depending of where I’m going.

      8 lb braid and 4 lb mono or fluorocarbon leader. No need for video game on a fishing boat! Learn how to use your side imaging and leave the video games at the house!
