Je tente tout pour vous connaitre davantage en ecoutant vos chansons toutes plus géniales les unes que les autres... MERCIIii Monsieur Prieres d AMOUR 💕
He was the Greatest Singer ever. Just love to hear is voice, over and over again. He had soo many Good Songs over the years, Such TALENT. Would love to meet him in person and shake his hand. For EVER, Harold
Busy Box I said ROY is probably the worlds best singer but I am not keen on this version BUT I do love his voice & his songs . There can't be anyone out there who do not like ROY Orbison So please read carefully before making a comment He is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
FYI Cindy Walker, a professional Nashville lyricist, CO-wrote this classic with country singer Eddy Arnold. Arnold recorded it, but not before a "cover" version was released by Jerry Vale ( definitely NOT a country artist).
+Boma Labs It's not true, the last concert and last appearence of Roy Orbison was actually in Belgium, when he performed for the first and only time in live his last hit "You Got It" ... The Black and White Night was here to prepare his comeback in the front of the musicale stage ... I never saw him performing because I wasn't born when he died and also I'm french and he didn't really performed in France.
This is a heartbreaking song for me because the love of my life walked away from me in our twenties and now his wife has died and he tells me I'm the only one he ever loved and wants to marry me. I'm 72 and he's 75 and diabetic so any time we'd have would be bitter sweet and I don't think I can get over the festering wound of being rejected by him twice. He left me for one woman, divorced her and got another one pregnant divorced her and married the third one for 40 years. I've never loved anyone like I love him but THIS wound festers and I can't breathe when I start sobbing over the hurt and rejection.
... with Eddy Arnold. The idea for the song was totally Eddy Arnold's. He had an idea for a song about a man who was in love with a woman but could not tell her that he was in love with her. Arnold's title or theme for the song was "You Don't Know Me". He pitched the idea to Cindy Walker. The song is a collaboration. But the idea for the song is totally Eddy Arnold's.
Ronaldo Meirelles Grande homenagem a esse trio que você citou. Amo muito Roy, grande Ray, só que sou fã número um do King. Mas grande homenagem você fez.
You all should also check out Genaro Luigi Vitaliano, better known as Jerry Vale. He is famous for Pretend You Don't See Her, but he also does a wonderful version of Eddy Arnold's song. Either with Roy or Jerry, Ray Charles can eat his heart out, as both are better.
I love Roy but I gotta admit this isn't his greatest recording. Off the Milestones album. To me it feels like he isn't interested in the song that much
For me one of the best artists ever on this planet

Roy 's voice ...I could listen often
Just listened to Elvis's version but Roy's version is way much better..sung from the heart..as per usual with Roy.
Never
a "Black and White Night" is a great concert. Last one The Big O did before passing.

Roy could of pulled off just being one heck of a country singer.
One can tell that roy personally knew the pain of being friendzoned.
@MrRockmeister1 Yes it's great Rocky..I do agree..but Roy sends shivers down my spine lol. Glenda-Marie x
Wonderful, where the heck did you get this wonderful pic of him ?

@beastyclarke I agree but check out Ray Charles version. It's really good too.
This is not one of Roys best in my opinion - but what a great singer - probably the worlds best

I love Roy but I gotta admit this isn't his greatest recording. Off the Milestones album. To me it feels like he isn't interested in the song that much
Way better than Ray Charles' version

Roy te cargaste esta magnifica cancion , las versiones de clasicos no son lo tuyo .
Prefer Emmylou Harris, though I love Roy
@beastyclarke i prefer the elvis version by a million miles and even the ray charles version is better. not one of roys best.
Roy tends to be at his best when singing the songs that he himself composed.
I’m a fan but not of this performance. The phrasing is weird & it sounds disjointed.
Not one of Roy's best...
