Finally! I've been waiting for Honda to release a pure sport SxS. When quality and reliability also matters, I'll always buy a Honda.

Only thing I'm choked about is the central instrument cluster. Other than that I'm pretty excited.
Good first entry in the SXS crowd! Looks good and good videos. I was hoping for a 4-seater. Need to get a new sxs in 2019 but looks like it can't be a Honda...yet.
I'm always surprised by the popularity of the 4-seaters.
They seem to do fine in the dunes, or some trail-riding, but I don't like them for any serious wheelin'. I'm always scraping and bashing my belly in the 4-seaters.
I get the "fits the family" argument, but given that these are meant to be performance vehicles I'm surprised how many people opt for the 4-seaters when the 2-seaters offer better performance.
I need one!

All pioneer 1000s have a high low range. They have from the beginning.
Randy White true they did add a reduction to the 1000 that the 700 didn’t have. Albeit only 1.42:1 gear reduction. Some information I’ve seen so far makes it sound like there’s more reduction on the Talon but maybe not.
I like the R version. Like the design of the extra link on the rear. The machine is going to need an extra 60 - 70 hp to compete with the other turbo models out there. Already curious on how the transmission could react and hold up on some extra hp.
Good to see Honda in the sport SXS game ! Kind of looks like the Razor though, however track time will tell and I like the idea of direct drive.
Finally no more rubber band driving our sxs, Polaris and gokart level build and quality bye-BYE!
What about oil changes maintenance etc. does it have a spin on oil filter sealed bushings wheres the air filter and will it be easy to service these areas.i havent heard anyone talk about these things. Ease of maintenance would be nice. Thanks for any information about these questions
It should be 2wd then 4wd then diff lock.
They need to make a 1000cc quad then ungrade the rincon.
And put two shocks on the back of the foreman like the old rubacon had

No manufacturer has had more recalls and lawsuits in the past two years than Polaris. 400 million dollars in just the last year in recall cost. Their stock almost collapsed. Look it up.
@@randywhite6539 who said anything about Polaris? I do personally own one and have had better luck with it than my pioneer. I'm not a cheerleader. I don't care who makes what. If it's a turd, I'm going to call it a turd. If my Polaris takes a shit like the pioneer did, ill get rid of it too.
Actually Honda has fixed the clutch problem and did a recall on all 2016 and 2017 pioneer 1000s. About a year ago. Recalls are a pain in the butt. No manufacturers are perfect it’s just how they treat you after the sale. I took mine in as soon as I heard about the recall. The first year models are the worst to buy , especially when they are offering something new like a DCT. NO IM NOT A DIE HARD HONDA FAN. I just research everything I buy. Can Am Reviews were pretty bad. People saying CanAm wasn’t standing behind their warranty. Went on line to look at Polaris and found a bundle of bad news about that company . Wanted a utv and the mule was just to old fashion looking and slow. So here I am with a Honda pioneer. Great machine. Honda does have one of the best reputations in the industry. I don’t just go by reviews I research the company. It’s my money I just like to be happy with what I buy.

Do not believe that it has a front looking diff.
Locked rear LSD front but it works with the brake system to give power to the tire that needs it.
I'm not sure if I would want that in rock crawling.

I dig it but I think I'd rather have the more hp out of the RZR turbo XP.
I have a rzr turbo and mine has held up well. Although admittedly I do not take mine through deep mud. I do like the sound of this Honda's transmission though.

I 4wd scares me. Seems like it’s going to end like visco lock. Any one who puts bigger tires is not going to have the front end lock

Honda missed the boat. Polaris and Textron Wildcat XX are leaders. Honda could have put much more thought into it . Instead they built something to go to the mailbox to see if their parts showed up.
Need something to tow those wildcats back to camp with.
John Eidmann are you serious no belt means straight up more power and no belt slippage, this was made to compete with RzR and wildcat and it’ll be a thought oponent
C-Bomb the Honda is not built for off reading. Look at how poorly the drag link is fastened to the rear hub. It looks great, but not everything that shines is gold.
I love Honda haters. They totally ignore the facts. Look up the recall cost for Polaris in the last year. Almost 400 million dollars. Their stock almost collapsed. Lawsuits by the thousands. Yeah Polaris. Take the time and look it up

@C-Bomb Sure do, why I bought a turbo.
The service manager at our local Polaris dealer told me that for every 10 Polaris machines that go out the door, 8 of them will come back for repairs. It is just not about HP, breakdowns are a bummer -- time and cost. Nothing will sour a fun trip faster than having equipment issues.

Man... not impressed at all! Been waiting for this thing, done alot of riding with Honda Pioneer 5's that I have been impressed with! but not impressed with this at all....

First off... Where the hell is the spare tire? Bet you have to buy that an option and that's BULL S____T. Every vehicle should come with a spare and Jack. As for the tranny I prefer the plain old clutch over all this fancy auto stuff. Just more stuff break down and cost the consumers way more money to have it fixed...

To the guy who buys this Honda Talon I'll wave at you when I go buy you on the trails because you'll be getting passed by my Polaris... as much as I would love to hate on this or gush over this I know that until you take this thing out on the trails.... nothing else matters

Polaris is so much better than Honda I love my Ranger 1000 with hvac and my RZR 1000 Highlifter edition I am a Polaris man for sure!
