32:29 Very informative. I have a plant that needs a pole and have procrastinated. Now I feel better about making one.❤

Happy New year Rachel, I was amazed by this video. I have never seen this done before. I thought it turned out really well. I am not too good with indoor plants, I tend to stick to the garden. 😊

Moss poles are great but man do they use up a lot of moss. I end up buying a lower quality moss because I can get 5 times the volume for the same price as the NZ. I just made a new pole for a Philodendron that I filled with a 50/50 mix of coconut husk chips and chopped sphagnum. It stays moist almost as long as all sphagnum but time will tell if the roots will go into it or not. I don't see why they wouldn't, but we will see.

Well, I was surprised at how little moss the pole took 😊 Let us know how yours do longer term.

Hi Rachel, question would you have to use the Orchid bark at the bottom or can you just leave it empty? Another question I have is are you concerned with pests in your moss? I appreciate your video I am about to embark on this adventure for my Pink Princess. 😅

Hi there. I think the bark at the base of the pole is chiefly to stop the moss falling down. In terns of pests, fungus gnats would be my biggest concern but I am sure that they are not present in the mix and moss I've used so I should be okay. Pink Princess is a beauty. Good luck!

Hi Rachel, you did a great job getting her on that moss pole. I have considered putting one or two of my plants on moss poles, but I just don't know!! Anyway, I can't wait to see how yours does and how much bigger her leaves get!! Have a very happy and safe new year and wishing the same to all of your subscribers and viewers!! 🍾🥂🍾

Thanks, Wanda. I'm very excited by the whole thing and can't wait to get going with the Monstera adonsonii. I put the Philodendron on a pole yesterday. I'll show it in my next video. Happy new year.

Happy New Year Rachel! I have always been interested in vanilla plants and it was interesting to watch you construct the moss pole. I've never made or used one so it was a good lesson. Thank you!

@@GardeningatDouentza the pole has a protective plastic cover like when u have to peel one for an iPhone, the pole supposed to have a transparent look instead of frosted

@@AhmadAsrafHashim The corner of the plastic is slightly damaged. I think that is what you are seeing.
