32:29 Very informative. I have a plant that needs a pole and have procrastinated. Now I feel better about making one.❤
Glad to be of help and happy new year, Sharon 😊
Happy New year Rachel, I was amazed by this video. I have never seen this done before. I thought it turned out really well. I am not too good with indoor plants, I tend to stick to the garden. 😊
Glad you found the video useful. Maybe you'll give it a go!
Indeed I might give it ago😊
Enjoyed the video . Very much so .
Quite the Master Class !
Thank you & Happy New Year .
(Time for you to put your feet up ,
with a hot toddy & rest for a bit .
Don’t let your cold get too fresh )
Thank you. Happy new year
Hi Rachel, happy 2024! Good luck with your new vanilla plant. TTFN
Thank you! You too!
Moss poles are great but man do they use up a lot of moss. I end up buying a lower quality moss because I can get 5 times the volume for the same price as the NZ. I just made a new pole for a Philodendron that I filled with a 50/50 mix of coconut husk chips and chopped sphagnum. It stays moist almost as long as all sphagnum but time will tell if the roots will go into it or not. I don't see why they wouldn't, but we will see.
Well, I was surprised at how little moss the pole took 😊 Let us know how yours do longer term.
Am inspirational video Rachel, thank you, much love Ju xx
You are so welcome!
Hi Rachel, question would you have to use the Orchid bark at the bottom or can you just leave it empty? Another question I have is are you concerned with pests in your moss? I appreciate your video I am about to embark on this adventure for my Pink Princess. 😅
Hi there. I think the bark at the base of the pole is chiefly to stop the moss falling down. In terns of pests, fungus gnats would be my biggest concern but I am sure that they are not present in the mix and moss I've used so I should be okay. Pink Princess is a beauty. Good luck!
Your year 2024 and your Vanilla will help you to be morevand more Happy 🎉❤
Thank you so much. A happy and healthy new year to us both.
Thank you for so many years of great videos. Happy New Year!
Aw, that's really kind of you. Happy new year 🎊
Excellent video! Thanks for all of the details on growing this great orchid. Seeing how to put the moss pole together was very helpful.
A very happy New Year to you, Rachel.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it! Happy new year to you too 🎉
Hi Rachel, you did a great job getting her on that moss pole. I have considered putting one or two of my plants on moss poles, but I just don't know!! Anyway, I can't wait to see how yours does and how much bigger her leaves get!! Have a very happy and safe new year and wishing the same to all of your subscribers and viewers!! 🍾🥂🍾
Thanks, Wanda. I'm very excited by the whole thing and can't wait to get going with the Monstera adonsonii. I put the Philodendron on a pole yesterday. I'll show it in my next video. Happy new year.
Happy New Year Rachel! I have always been interested in vanilla plants and it was interesting to watch you construct the moss pole. I've never made or used one so it was a good lesson. Thank you!
Glad the video was useful. Maybe you'll give it a go.
Tell me where did you find this poole please ❤
I bought it on Shein. They have different types there
Happy New Year! Bonny
Happy new year, Bonnie.
Love the head dress!
Haha. Me too!! 😉
Guten Rutsch! 🎉
Happy new year
U forgot to remove the protective plastic cover 😬
What protective plastic cover?
@@GardeningatDouentza the pole has a protective plastic cover like when u have to peel one for an iPhone, the pole supposed to have a transparent look instead of frosted
Nah, this pole has no protective layer.@@AhmadAsrafHashim
@@GardeningatDouentza 8:30 look at the 2nd tab from the right (the corner is already peeled a bit), that's the protective plastic cover.
@@AhmadAsrafHashim The corner of the plastic is slightly damaged. I think that is what you are seeing.
