brilliant chase. the music at about 3:35 is a version of Drama One by Barry Morgan & Herbie Flowers, recognised it from a Sweeney episode called "Golden Boy"
Back in the days in Australia when the interstate roads had no speed limit in Australia. Open road all you had to do was drive to the conditions.. It was also a big thing those Falcons getting stolen in their day. They were as secure as a shoe box.
It's amazing what the Aussies could do with the (very) basic bones of the Falcon platform. Ford America essentially wrote it off by the late 60s to make room for the Maverick and Torino, two cars that got slower, fatter and sadder through the 70s. I kind of understand the Torino, but I never understood the Maverick. It wasn't competitive with the Beetle and it was much flimsier than a Dart or Nova. Ford really could have used a Falcon then. Oh well.
Thank you for Car Chase Wonderland for giving us Aussie’s some local content! Great stuff
No problem 👍
Gotta love the pure Aussie Muscle mate.

Which has at least two car chases.

Awesome soundtrack music. 👍
This was filmed when that car was fresh out of the Ford Dealership. Brand new 289W Falcon GT ready to win Bathurst that year!
No it was 71 as He was being chased by a VH Valiant that was their first year.
@@dazaspcit was actually filmed in 1972 and the XR GT is 1967.
@@dazaspc Good point
Pretty sure the old 4 door val would have little hope of catching a 289 GT .... unless it had tripple 45DCOE's
Was that cop car a manual column shift?
that poor falcon

That was fun. I had my money on the EH. The Valiant was really a tank by that stage.
7:07 mark the next door neighbor don't care about law after leaving like that 😂😂.
Matlock? Where is Andy Griffith?
Just a daily commute in Australia 😁👍
Days before speed cameras !
The valuant was probably a 215 ci engine
