I wish more interviews would acknowledge the fact that Robert Kirkman also created "Invincible", the greatest super hero comic EVER. It is still ongoing, too.
Crazy that Omni man is in the mortal Kombat game after one season.
Just read them all and the series is awesome.
This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. I saw it like 5 times already omg. Paul F. Tompkins is sooo charismatic and Robert Kirkman is so damn funny.
MO MONEY
That guy has a moustache. He clearly must be a Viltrumite.
LOL
he sounds like badger from breaking bad
I didn't know people actually talked like that xD
The man, the myth, the legend 🙏🏻
Kirkman is the man !
Carl Grimes Yes he is !!
Well written zombie king theme. to download free @ tinyurl . com \ q5v372f . remove spaces.
Robert kirkman is amazing
Robert is an inspiration to young writers everywhere!
Should have asked him what he feels about Andrea's death on the show versus what she becomes in the comic.
She was so badass in the comics. I wish they manifested that version of her in the TV series.
Penelope416 I could not stand her on the tv show.
Spencer Wilbanks
Neither could I.
If the writers wanna play her like that in tv show, they should've killed her off. It was the writers fault!
.
Penelope416 love the show but they could have done some better casting, I did not care for her, t-dog, beth, Lori ( although I think u were not supposed to like her). They did a great job casting rick, carl, shane, merle, daryl though.
Man, was he right about things going downhill and people looking back on this interview. Hopefully, the spin-offs bring back the nostalgic feeling TWD had.
Yeah... And to this day I *struggle* to understand his defense in killing off Carl Grimes.😣
Kirkman, I love you; now stop killing off my favorite characters!
+WAR-DANCE cept for Glenn
I'm very attached to Glaggie; hate the thought of 1 of them dying, but I would rather we had learned who died in the S6 finale. PO'd that they built up so much intensity and momentum, then Bam, hit a brick wall!
Frank Darabont (director of The Shawshank Redemption). Was the original showrunner who brought the idea of the show to AMC. He is the reason the show became the huge success it is. Pay that man his money. if it was not for Frank Darabont I would not have watched this show from the beginning. The first 2 seasons were great......I still watch them over and over.
The series was awesome because of him, as soon as he left, it stank.
This is easily the most entertaining interview I've ever watched.
One of my greatest inspirations. Aside from Kevin smith and Robert Rodriguez.
Kyle Kinane could do voice over work for Robert Kirkman.
"Don't think Disney will be jumping on that one." That didn't age too great lol
Kirkman if you can imagine in 20 years time there is a new rick michonne in that time line
i could see paul f tompkins as a late night host. judging by his persona i think it would be difficult to have a negative interview with him.
Fantastic! Loved hearing about Kirkman himself. Speakeasy is always great!!
That was a really cool interview. It as being a while since I've saw something this good :)
Mr peanut putter and Robert Kirkman in the same room ? What is this crossover episode
Plz do this for fifty years
Oh no. Why?
Robert is so freaking dreamy. I can't deal
Great interview.
Love the show and comic thanks kirkman
At last, a new Speakeasy!
BRILLIANT.
Thank goodness this is back,I've been bored!
Two of the funniest guys I know having a conversation, this is priceless
Robert Kirkman is such a cool guy, and I hope season 7 of the walking dead will be great!
Great interview
@ 20:09, 7 years later and Marvel Zombies makes its debut on an episode of Marvel's What If…? (TV series). 3 years after that, a stand-alone spin-off series comes to Disney's streaming service.
I found this show last night.. it is one of my fav things to watch now :P
12:00 I bet that experience influenced his idea of the whisperers
Such a great attitude.
11:15
Kirkman sounds just like Ben from the telltale's The Walking Dead.
I too love Robert kirkman.
"you asked me before this interview to laugh at that joke" lolz
It’s funny what Kirkman says at the end about not creating too many spin-offs because that’s exactly what AMC did with TWD tv series…
Happy birthday
Try a book store.. or one that specializes in comic books. There is an app that Kirkman talked about that have his books but I forgot the name.
Damn it was 5 years ago
Just to think he had the ending in sight. The end of an era
Robert is really a cute nerd bear. And everybody loves a bear!
You can read them on youtube.
18:44 My friend knows Mark Miller :D
I would love to see you interview Bill Burr!
Oi kirkman more stories immediately sir
is it just me or does he sound SO MUCH like Saul from breaking bad
Hey it's the guy from drunk history
so is that Aussie available?
I loved his work at Marvel. MTU was my favorite book until it was cancelled.
do this forever and TWD forever
Legend!!!!
he releases books, but you can find them on youtube.
I'd love to ask Robert Kirkman about the similarities between toy story and the Walking Dead.
how do i read the comics...? does he release books or is there a website to subscribe to or what?
I love walking dead, but I think Invicible is his best job by far! A movie/series would be super awesome!
inspiring
I don't want to toot my own horn, but I've had letters published in both Invincible, and in two separate issues of Wolf-Man.
is that the dog from Mr Peanutbutters House?
love it ^^
any comic book store or at imagecomics
And now we have spin offs marvel zombies and invincible on Amazon
they come out every month go to your comic book store
That thumbnail though.
He almost sound like Badger.
Interview Bill Murray!
Current Ron Bergandy!
paul sounds exactly like rex from toy story
Lord of rings you are one of the extremely strong breaking rocks you are a gift more stories rosita series dark angel vibe
I want the old man Logan adapted into a cgi style movie based 100% on the comic itself. A Dream of mine
is lilly from the tell tale series the one who killed lori and the governer in the comic
and the road to wood bury is that lilly from the telltale game when left away from group
Evan Mitchell No and no. Kirkman put out a statement about that. You should be able to google it.
Kirkman rosita series
"idk man it pays the bills" haha loved this comment
20:10 sometimes you just never know
I concur that Bill Burr should be interviewed!
Is the spin-off (that he mentioned) the "Fear the Walking Dead?"
yeah
I swear Kirkman hides his Kentuckian heritage like a zombie bite in interviews. I know it's an odd point to make, but being from a state that is synonymous with hicks and incest, having a successful and intelligent person like Mr. Kirkman to point to as an example of a modern productive son of Kentucky, becomes a point of pride. I'm highly hurt that the show didn't use King's county Kentucky, especially since there is no King's county Georgia, and Rick's uniform is based on King's Co. KY. Sad :(
Bad ass of the week. Look it up online and enjoy. Better than any fiction produced.
please Season 3 Pleas
e Please please
I love how they're laughing at how ridiculous the idea of Marvel doing a Marvel Zombies movie or show. It's now pretty much confirmed that the What If...? series will feature it.
- I think it's too early to be talking about a spinoff yet.
- Nah, let's.
- Ok then, there is a spinoff coming.
Mr. Kirkman, you've been PFT'd.
Great, down to the last drop.
I just drank 3 capri suns.... get on my level
Yeah, fear in no way stands shoulder to shoulder with the original!
Yup, never!
The show sicks ass
I can't believe that Daryl is bout to die in this 2nd episode. It sucks :(
Couldn't stop looking at his gap
is this supposed to be a piano bar setting?
2 mins in already thinking they already drunk?
Damn it, Tompkins, let me go to sleep
Invite Bill Burr!
hey Kirkman bring on Meryl Dixon's identical twin who is meaner, and looking to stomp Daryl
wow i never thought it could be a physical comic book.
dur -.-
Please tell me they are drinking Zombies. If not, that is opportunity WASTED, sirs.
thanks for the spoiler warning. really appreciate it
Paul F. Tompkins 4 President
I want to be widow maker.
I hope Invincible also lasts 50 years.
Maladaptive Daydreamer He has announced he's ending it, there's only going to be another 14ish issues I think.
thesimpsons17 I heard over the summer. :( Not to contradict my previous sentiments half a year ago, but honestly, I'd prefer a proper finality and not something that fades or burns out like Savage Dragon or Spawn. Though I never found the appeal of the previous, old school Spawn had really great stories.
I've enjoyed it all, the only time it lost its way was the CGI tiger, totally absurd & unrelatable.
i hate when people say graphic novel i love comic books.
how he did allow production to destroy & fuck up Andrea version at the TV adaptation, that is one of the mayor fuck ups I can never understand why did ever happened?? aside many of the others countless unnecessary changes, not saying he is not a great powerful admirable created mind , just saying something I cannot help but having in mind
dragoth or what blame on the jews.
