This is one of the most underrated actors working in Hollywood. He's been in a huge number of successful movies and TV shows and should be an A-list actor.
Haha he is definitely a normal version of Merle LOL! You know, sometimes you see the characters speak in real life and they're totally different. But he seems kinda like a real life nice version of Merle haha! So awesome.
Seems like a really down-to-earth and cool guy. He's also a great actor! His first movie: Leading Role in "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer". Holy shit! What a movie and what a performance. Really disturbing but a great underground flick.
out of all the great cast on TWD, and there are many many great actors, he is my absolute favourite. What an actor and a seemingly down to earth fellow.
You can tell that's a man not to be fucked with. Tomb stoned eyes, straight tense expressions, guy has seen a lot for sure. Makes the best of badass actors out there. What a character
I loved his portrayal of Merle Dixon. I told my gf who never saw the show on our first watch together that Merle was one of my favorite characters. Then he dropped the N word and she said "this is one of your favorites???" And I told her just wait. Love redemption arcs.
Oh man! I recognized his voice when I watched TWD for the first time! He was so familiar and... then it dropped... Centurion from Riddick Escape From Butcher Bay!!! Such a great actor and voice actor!
First movie I saw him in was "Mississippi Burning" (he was an evil SOB in that one). I saw "Henry: Portrait of a serial killer" after chasing down all of the movie clips used in the Skinny Puppy video for "Worlock". I know someone who worked for a catering company that contracted with a lot of movie production companies who briefly met him on the set of JFK who said he was hands-down, the sweetest actor they've ever met.
Big fan of Michael Rooker! Feels like some of the stories were edited for time. I could listen to Tombstone backround stories forever….BEST MOVIE EVER!
I used to have that movie downloaded to my old computer. I didn't have cable or wireless and had very little movies at the time. I watched that movie so often it is probably odd. Just music, that movie, and The Golden Girls. Dear lord...
Saw him in Rosewood too , and if you haven't seen Rosewood you have to put your shit down and watch Rosewood ASAP. Is it possible Michael Rooker likes black people ? If he does he is the best actor alive or dead
"Jesus Christ... Now wait a second, you're mad at these guys from Above the Law that come to your neighborhood in Chicago with their guns... You're going to a wine and cheese party and you're packing!" Brilliant interview.
Good interview! Yo Paul F. Thompkins, I like the approach you took this time - a more formal style focusing on Michael Rooker, and still injecting your humor where appropriate - into my veins.
Always enjoyed his work, great bad guy who really needs more nice guy roles, because he could easily do more of them, maybe make him being a nice guy the plot twist.
2 prosthetic hands, and a sniper? I wonder if he's talking about Hawaii 5-O, a few weeks back they were working a case looking for a sniper with 2 prosthetic hands.
I don't usually watch or care for long interviews but this was actually a great interview. Michael Rooker seems like a really cool, laid-back guy, I thought he'd be more intimidating not just because of his roles but he just has "that face", guess I was wrong. Sad that most people only know him from The Walking Dead, I've been watching Michael Rooker movies since I was a little kid in the 90's. I hope they don't kill him off in TWD!
Question: If going to do a comedy what actor would be a good fit my Answer: michael keaton - Really, I would love to see any movie with both of them. God interview
I want to see the sniper with the stumps for hands starring michael rooker. give it some faux grindhouse film grain or something. sounds like something magnet films would put out.
This is one of the most underrated actors working in Hollywood. He's been in a huge number of successful movies and TV shows and should be an A-list actor.
I totally agree.
He plays in everything.
Lol 69 likes
He's too good to not be in more flicks.
Michael Rooker totally ROCKS! I never would've guessed he was so cool and funny! Love him!!

Merle - racism = michael rooker
Right? Lol
Merle-racism+ Marry Poppins=Michael Rooker
Not the same without the racism😢
HE IS NOT FUCKING RACIST
I did not expect to see Merle Dixon acting like such a human being. It always shocks me just how different actors really are from their characters.
Hes such an asshole in EVERY movie.... But he is a good actor
I know I’m 10 years late but it shocks me too, that’s how good of a actor Rooker is 😎
idk i just love his voice, he's so cool
harper voice
Ikr
Yes, with southern accent he's voice is perfect
Haha he is definitely a normal version of Merle LOL! You know, sometimes you see the characters speak in real life and they're totally different. But he seems kinda like a real life nice version of Merle haha! So awesome.

Seems like a really down-to-earth and cool guy. He's also a great actor! His first movie: Leading Role in "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer". Holy shit! What a movie and what a performance. Really disturbing but a great underground flick.
hell yeah💯
Cosmic86x I met him before he is really nice
Great performance.
out of all the great cast on TWD, and there are many many great actors, he is my absolute favourite. What an actor and a seemingly down to earth fellow.
I love how sweet he is in real life. Shows how he's such an amazing actor. I'd love to meet him and Norman.
OMG I love ROOKER!!! He is a CLASSIC .... best actor alive today !!!
Love his voice tho
I fucking love Rooker's reaction to realising he may or may not have paid his sister back x'D
Michaels personality is not what I expected. Hes so down to earth and funny what a cool guy.
I LOVE MICHAEL! He's amazing and soooo damn attractive lol :)
You can tell that's a man not to be fucked with. Tomb stoned eyes, straight tense expressions, guy has seen a lot for sure. Makes the best of badass actors out there.
What a character
He plays Merle so well, a character you love to loath!!
Two of the greatest people alive. This conversation is priceless
I loved his portrayal of Merle Dixon. I told my gf who never saw the show on our first watch together that Merle was one of my favorite characters. Then he dropped the N word and she said "this is one of your favorites???" And I told her just wait. Love redemption arcs.
Rooker in Slither was so awesome. What a great choice for that role :)
Yondu!

Oh man! I recognized his voice when I watched TWD for the first time! He was so familiar and... then it dropped... Centurion from Riddick Escape From Butcher Bay!!!

he seems to be a merle dixon in real
I Like his role in Guardians of the Galaxy
I like his voice!!
I completely forgot Mr. Rooker was in Mallrats, great flick, incredible actor!
somethign that pleases me is that his smoker voice is his real voice
He is somewhat like a friendlier version of Merle. Still abit foul-mouthed and hilarious.
What'd u expect from a bad boy wearing fucking awesomectacular men's black leather jacket?
Maybe the best "Speakeasy" episode yet !
Both are brilliant. They bounce so well off each other.
I remember him from the old neighborhood Bucktown/Wicker Park in Chicago. He was a lifeguard at Pulaski Park back in the day.
He is from my neighborhood and hung around with my brothers in law and friend Hoppy. He was also one of the cutest lifeguard at the pool.
The job he was offered with the two prosthetic hands was from an episode of Hawaii Five-0 called "Hookman".
I fucking love Michael Rooker.
I used to have that movie downloaded to my old computer. I didn't have cable or wireless and had very little movies at the time. I watched that movie so often it is probably odd. Just music, that movie, and The Golden Girls. Dear lord...
RIP Merle Dixon
Oh wow, this is like my favorite Speakeasy now.
This might be the best talk show I've ever seen. It's so intimate and relaxed, you forget you're watching a show.
"It's not a fixing the pool job, it's a prosthetic hand job"- Michael Rooker
Rooker is an absolute scene stealer ! He was killed off to early , if the writers were honest they would say so.
You're going to a wine and cheese party and you're packing!"
Brilliant interview.
Alot of people forget or dont realise michael was in black ops 2
This channel deserves more views.
0:23 "Cheers to you sir." "Sir" came out from Merle's mouth? It feels so not right lol haha. But anyway, Micheal is a good actor. :)
I miss this show so much
This & Pablo have to be the best ones yet.
Bob "Saul" & Simon "Walowitz" are Damn good too.
Ohh hell, they are all GREAT.
The first time i saw this guy in twd i already loved him
Never just run...up to Yondu.
my fav character
Good interview! Yo Paul F. Thompkins, I like the approach you took this time - a more formal style focusing on Michael Rooker, and still injecting your humor where appropriate - into my veins.
I haven't laughed more then watching Michael Rooker interviews/videos xD
Garth Longmore! _"Oh now I feel bad. I should've come up with something better for you......"_
I want to have a drink with Michael Rooker.
This was one of the better interviews. Liked it alot!
Always enjoyed his work, great bad guy who really needs more nice guy roles, because he could easily do more of them, maybe make him being a nice guy the plot twist.
"Normally people don't run up to me" I laughed SO hard!! lol
A sniper with double prosthetic hands, an episode of Hawaii 5-O had that
That's his real laugh...
/took the words right out of my mouth!
Happy Birthday Michael!
Paul is just great. Great choice on host.
prosthetic hand job..probably the only thing cooler than a regular hand job
He is the voice actor for Harper in call of duty black ops 2
I like his voice;)
2 prosthetic hands, and a sniper? I wonder if he's talking about Hawaii 5-O, a few weeks back they were working a case looking for a sniper with 2 prosthetic hands.

It's latin. Heart day, or some shit like that. (Mike harper from Black Ops 2)
he plays the voice of harper in call of duty black ops 2 campaign
It's not a roof job, or a swimming pool/fixing the pool job, it's a prosthetic hand-job.
"it's not a roofjob, or a swimmingpool, fixin the pooljob, this is a prosthetic handjob" .... "wow ... did i say that?" hahahahaha
Hilarious stories. I was doing the jackhammer shoulders in my cube the whole time.
Micheal Rooker seems very cool, would love to meet him some day.
Question: If going to do a comedy what actor would be a good fit
my Answer: michael keaton
- Really, I would love to see any movie with both of them.
God interview

The guy doing the interview is doing my head in with the ridiculous fake laughing.
Merle and Derle HAHAHA.
henry reference awesome
He’ll always be the Dad from Mallrats to me.
God bless you.
Great interview
Merle Dixon aka Mike Harper
This man has been in Hollywood since forever, yet they never gave him a lead role
I grew to really like him in the Walking Dead. I wish they didn't take him out in Season 3.
I want to see the sniper with the stumps for hands starring michael rooker. give it some faux grindhouse film grain or something. sounds like something magnet films would put out.
too good men, too good.
Well said.
What a great guy! =)
Note to self: Keep my cool and don't run up if I see Michael Rooker.
