Copper doors should be lockable with redstone... Example: Door can open and close normally, but when a lever is activated near it it does not open nor close unless the redstone is deactivated.
So it acts wooden when unpowered but when powered it acts like iron but with whatever state it's already in being forcibly registered as open, that about right?

This makes so much sense, the iron door is crafted from Ingots, so the copper door should be the same, doesn’t really make a lot of sense to craft a small flat door out of six blocks at are made from 9 ingots each.
we love waxen pinion, bleed damage (count no reduce on target), gambling for that 7 heads, bondage tremor, bondage 2: unbalancing the whole character boogaloo, Om-nom-nom, Speed-Bleed, and BLUE FLAME MASTER in this company.
They should just add copper ingot variants, that could be crafted from the respective copper variant blocks after they have oxidized a bit. That way we could have the door and trapdoor variants to be craftable without being super expensive or having massive outputs, and it would create a way to use the copper block variations as storage blocks for the different ingots. These ingots should be implemented as an item that must be crafted from the already oxidized blocks, and the ingots should not oxidize on their own anywhere.
@@EmperorPenguin1217 it wouldn’t be much more cluttered then copper already is, by having the copper ingot be crafted strictly from lightly weathered, weathered, and oxidized blocks you could use them as storage blocks, and if you ever wanted to convert those ingots into regular ingots you would just have to use an axe on the storage block. Additionally they could add a recipe to craft the ingots variants into a regular ingots in a crafting table with an axe. The creation of these ingots would have to be intentional, so a player would be able to choose what form to have their ingots in.

My ideal oxidation mechanic for cooper tools: Tools don't oxidize with time, they oxidize with use. However, their durability is not enough to reach full level of oxidation. In order to increase your tool's oxidation further than the level achieved by a single durability bar you have to repair your tool and keep using it. An unoxidized copper tool slow. But the higher their oxidation levels the faster the tools are. The catch is that oxidation not only increases their speed, but also decrease their max durability. This creates an incentive to keep using and repairing the same tool (to increase speed) instead of switching to a new one, but the cost of maintaining it keeps increasing (because max durability is lower). How slow are unoxidized tools? How fast their speed increase? how fast their max durability increases? what is the max speed? what is the minimum max durability? Those are all numbers that should be tweaked throughout snapshots until copper tools are properly balanced.
3:20 i think you should also be able to craft it with blocks and just get 9x the doors instead. that way you still have the option to craft the oxidised doors
May 1st is recognized as May Day in Hawaii and also now you don’t have to wait as long for the copper blocks to oxidize to make the door, you just make the door and wait for it to oxidize
I almost gave up when I found out about crafting them with blocks. Glad to see Mojang has listened, but it is understandable because of how much copper you get from one vein.
The copper tools is a great idea actually! It will not be as strong as iron but stronger than stone. It will have infinite durability. It will oxidize over time with each stage lowering attack speed and strength. (final stage = like wooden tool) You can wax it by crafting with honeycomb in crafting menu to stop the oxidation. When waxed, will reduce the attack speed and strength a bit. You cannot unwax them but can smelt them in the furnace to turn them back into uhh... Copper Nugget? Also for the door, bring back the ability to craft it with block but keep the ability to craft it with ingot too. But when crafting with blocks, you get uhh.. 27 door instead. (or just add oxidized ingots instead)
They could have just used cut copper for the doors and trapdoors. Yeah, that's ~2x more expensive, but: 1. You can craft from oxidized 2. *Copper is hella common* (not to mention easy to farm)
Here's what I personally think they should do. Since you can "uncraft" an iron block into 9 iron, why not be able to do the same with each variant of copper block to make different variants of ingots? Just a thought
And also having the tools oxides slightly caster of they are used, and mabey alowing for different types of coper ingots and waxed coper ingots so it would have a durability bar that gose down overtime would be really cool
3:20 *STUPID DESIGN!* Sure, it's nice that they use ingots, but you could EASILY make the other doors craftable too, you just add a 1x Copper Block of desired oxidation to one of the empty crafting slots, this block is NOT CONSUMED on crafting (just like buckets are not, when making cake), the block is just used to "select" what type of door you want. In "lore" you can explain it that the oxidation spreads from the block unto the door.
Now we need to be able to place ingots in an orientation relative to perspective for decorative purposes, and to oxidize our copper. Maybe take a redstone signal out of the copper ingots, relative to oxidation, and have them dispensed into stacks... then you could use comparators to break the stacks when they reach a certain value, run them to a crafter to be waxed, and put them in your store.
@@justwhaleseals The Breeze has in depth animations, a unique attack. Many unique properties. Is heavily designed with the structure it's in. And 5 separate uses, possibly more. What more do you need to be enough? Most mobs in the entire game are the same in terms of use count.
the cooper door situation would have been a good opportunity to have all doors recipe to be 2 blocks of whatever they're made off, vertical for a door and horizontal for a trapdoor. but like just 2 to make 1 door. would make more sens because wooden doors are still made of 6 blocks too not 6 sticks
Phoenix, you should make copper blocks able to craft 3 copper door blocks and 2 copper trapdoor blocks, which can then be crafted into 9 copper doors / trapdoors. This way we can still make oxidised copper blocks into oxidised copper doors

Here's what I personally think they should do. Since you can "uncraft" an iron block into 9 iron, why not be able to do the same with each variant of copper block to make different variants of ingots? Just a thought
My favourite part of this video was when PeenixSC said "I have waxed" and waxed all over the copper weapons. Truly a waxing of all time
we have labour day here on may 1 here in HK too :)
I can't tell if this video is a joke or not
Peenix: I have waxed.
Me: If only you could wax that Steve abomination.
3:00 💀?
And also having the tools oxides slightly caster of they are used, and mabey alowing for different types of coper ingots and waxed coper ingots so it would have a durability bar that gose down overtime would be really cool
3:20 *STUPID DESIGN!*
Sure, it's nice that they use ingots, but you could EASILY make the other doors craftable too, you just add a 1x Copper Block of desired oxidation to one of the empty crafting slots, this block is NOT CONSUMED on crafting (just like buckets are not, when making cake), the block is just used to "select" what type of door you want.
In "lore" you can explain it that the oxidation spreads from the block unto the door.
Eh, oxidation does not work that way.
how about you craft oxidized copper doors with a bucket of water and a copper door to oxidize it
When the copper tools oxidize they should inflict poison
Hi phoenix
Hello phonics

Hi photonics
Now we need to be able to place ingots in an orientation relative to perspective for decorative purposes, and to oxidize our copper. Maybe take a redstone signal out of the copper ingots, relative to oxidation, and have them dispensed into stacks... then you could use comparators to break the stacks when they reach a certain value, run them to a crafter to be waxed, and put them in your store.
now make armadillo's ACTUALLY USEFUL
How are they not?
@@nixsonhenderson just like turtles, all they do is make one semi-useful piece of armour that only has ONE purpose
@@justwhaleseals They also scare away Spiders and their scutes are used to repair the armor even when the wolf is wearing it.
@@plumfadoodle4908 and you think thats useful? all the mobs mojang have added have been half made including the breeze
They should've made the recipe just give more doors; not just remove being able to craft oxidized doors entirely.
Phoenix, you should make copper blocks able to craft 3 copper door blocks and 2 copper trapdoor blocks, which can then be crafted into 9 copper doors / trapdoors. This way we can still make oxidised copper blocks into oxidised copper doors
Maybe you should make it clear that the copper tools are a mod that you installed and not part of vanilla Minecraft, Just saying.
bro this is common knowledge
This is a common thing where he adds a small joke at the end of videos. It's obvious
it actually makes sense to make copper doors with bars instead of blocks, with the blocks you'd have to wait for them to oxidize first anyway
yay now copper is even more useless!
Yeah
dude didn’t even watch the video
1:36 this is getting me into a sneaky snitch type mood
