Yeah, finding out that he's actually gay, I had to rewatch this and it's so crazy. Now when they talk about him making excuses for not hanging out, you know why. You know why he was so close with Elissa. You wonder who all knew at the time of this when it was made. His sexual preference has no effect on his skateboarding. In fact, like a lot of them have said. Finding out he's gay makes him more rad. I'm just glad to see that BA can live his life without that weight on his shoulders of having to hide it from everyone and I love the support and feedback he has received throughout the community. Shows just another reason why skateboarding is such an amazing thing.

I remember that tour. I skated with you guys at More Skates in Lancaster PA. You guys were totally cool with me joining in the demo. I remember all the locals yelling get off the floor! Ed and Mike were atop a quarterpipe, they were both trying like "nose wheely" (Maldanados Words) tech trick on this flattop long pyramid, and I said to Ed do you care if I skate with you guys, he looked dead at me and said go for it. I was trying a benihana over this hip, at the time the trick wasn't well known, I remember Steamer asking what it was and me not knowing what it was called. It was a blast skating alongside these legends at the time. Thanks for having me, and thanks for making it memorable. Landing that trick and hearing the Toy Machine team going wild cheering was a great moment in an otherwise boring life. Thanks Ed!

JT is one of my favorites of all time just because when I was growing up he was my absolute favorite, and his old parts and his style are still amazing- I still think his part in Welcome to Hell is one of the best and probably my favorite of all time, BUT... he kind of seems like somewhat of a dick. The whole thing with him and Marisa Dal Santo, on one hand he gave her her first video part and hooked her up with boards and put out a guest model for her that sold really well, and he gave her a job at Black Box, but on the other hand, you have to wonder if she would have ended up going pro had she come up under someone other than the chief. I mean she won gold at X games what, three different times? And she had what's still regarded as the best female video part of all time (Strange World). But she never went pro? When people like Leticia Buffooni got all this success while being infinitely less fun or interesting to watch skate. Even Breana Geering is seeing more success than gnar-Mar ever did. Idk why I'm ranting about this stuff that has nothing to do with BA whatsoever though lol.

Dude.. Are you hitting rocks or debris in the first couple of minutes when you keep crashing? It looks like your board is making an abrupt stop and throwing you? Just curious? Loved this vid. Reminds me of all the crazy stuff we tried when I was little, and the "stable" ramps we used to build. I am shocked that I never broke anything. My friend Aaron always had a cast on some part of his body. Faving you! :0)

His board was my first professional board that I purchased from hillbillies skateshop in the early 2000's, I've searched high and low for the board I bought and it depresses me that I cant find it. It's definitely a huge void for me

I no longer skate, but Welcome To Hell changed my life for the better all those years ago.
