Mayur Pilankar anytime, if you can’t take it post workout, take it before bed. You body grows when you sleep.

@@mayurpilankar9205 I think you can take little sugar with water after post workout if you don't want to lose more body protein. Otherwise protein or fat will be used to create energy. Don't try to take it too much in quantity just maintain balance.

Muscle Protein synthesis slowly increases and peaks after 24 hours and stays HIGH till 36 hours of heavy exercise only in that muscle
So for maximum growth
Best option is to take high protein in diet.. For optimal muscle protein synthesis you need 0.4gm/kg/meal...that means Around 30 gms per meal and 3 to 6 meals per day to full fill 1.2 to 1.8gm/kg /day... Requirement.
Not necessary to take all from Whey..
Vegetarians can take any if these options
1.Peanuts, chana 2 to 3 times daily
2.peanut butter..
Perfer homemade
3.Double toned milk... 1 to 2 litres daily
4. Fat free dahi, paneer, chach
5. Any Dal ( lentils) 2 to 3 times daily
6. Soya, soy milk, tufu can be taken once or twice daily
8. Dry fruits once daily
9. Vegetables and fruits should be taken as much as possible
You can use these options to easily provide the necessary amount of protien. To your body

Sir everybody is recommending protien shake after workout even nutrition nd sports science specialist like Gurumann, jeetsalal for better result nd muscle building. Sir ur reasons are also logical. So now I am confused .

They say what they think is right... But in reality what you need is a high protien diet... Thats it... Post workout most important is rest and hydration... Rest of the things are of minor importance.. But bcos they pay well to production companies so are marketed as most important...

@@Sherry727 flaxseed contains omega's so it will make it hard for your smoothie to digest and absorb quickly. You need fast digesting food to get converted into glucose.
