Having lived in New York City for more than thirty years I just purchased a home and moved to Las Vegas . My only regret is this - should have done it much sooner because I love it here .

which area did you move to? im looking to move from jersey to vegas because i have always hated the weather in nj with a majority of overcast days with limited sunshine, frequent humidity and the cold weather in the winter. cost of living seems somewhat similar if not maybe a little lower.

I agree with all you mentioned in this video except the sense of community, at least in my experience. My welcome to Las Vegas was, my car got stolen.
So just be aware that Vegas is an urban city with urban problems

Lived there for about 14 years...moved out in 2018...it's hammered now...the heat is brutal!!

I heard bad health care cause it doesnt pay well, you need that if retired. LV needs to pay better.

What about jobs? they will need to make more jobs to keep up with everyone moving in unless most of them are retiring in vegas…

what down sides? I'm sure it has a handful like everywhere but i live in nj and my cost of living is already god awful but so is the weather so id rather be paying as much but be in the dry heat than here lol
