This video shows you how to install a new valve cover from TRQ on your 2013-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Under the valve cover, you have camshafts and the valvetrain spinning and flinging oil everywhere. A valve cover has to have a gasket to stop some of that oil from leaking out the seam. When you do see oil around your valve cover, you know it’s time to replace the gasket.
Estimated installation time for a professional technician is approximately: 1 hour 24 minutes
This repair was done on a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Base 2.4L Sport Utility 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

This is by far the most comprehensive video on the job for this model vehicle. No one has fully explained how to get that one bolt on the far right of the valve cover until now. I can’t wait to do this for my daughter’s 2013 Santa Fe 2.0T.
Three questions:
1.) Did you depressurize the fuel system off camera?
2.) Why not replace the o-ring on the high pressure fuel pump?
3.) Why must that metal fuel line be replaced? I’ve seen other videos simply tighten the original one back on.
