- We bought a new Echo Show 15. There are a few things that I really like about this Alexa enabled fire TV device. This is my initial review of our Echo Show 15 set up.

Yeah it can get pretty hot out here. I was planning on making some more videos about the cameras too. We also have two bird feeder cameras on there. If you set the cameras up on the Alexa app they will show up on the Echo Show too. Just say "Alexa Show Cameras," and all of the cameras will come up.

Glad you liked it! This Echo Show 15 is pretty nice. We also connected our birdfeeder camera to the Echo Show 15. The only issue we have had is that sometimes the voice controls won't open the cameras but if you say "Alexa show cameras" it will open up all of the cameras.
Ziggy is also the computer on quantum leap.
That makes a lot of sense too. When I asked Alexa where the inspiration for the Alexa wake word Ziggy came from she said it was inspired by David Bowie's character Ziggy Stardust. But yeah I remember the show Quantum Leap. That was a good one. When you choose Ziggy it also changes to a male voice. So it's kind of cool to have some variety on your deferent devices.
Is there a way for your echo show 15 to show your camera view all the time without going back to the home screen?
I am not sure I usually just open it up to look at it and then I tell it to go to the home screen I never tried to leave it open to see how long it stays on. I just tuned it on to test it out and it looks like it will continue to show the camera until the sleep mode is triggered.
Nice review. I just got an Echo show 15 the other day. And have it hooked up to my wyze doorbell video camera. The only problem I'm having is when the door camera pops up on the screen it's minimized and I've been trying to figure out how to make a routine so it would start up automatically maximized. Also trying to figure out a routine to close the doorbell camera off the main screen and to go back to photo frame. Do you have any ideas. Thank you
I will have to play around with it and see if I can make an update video. For me I named my Echo Show 15 "Computer" and I named our doorbell camera "Ring." So I say "Computer View Ring" and then it opens up full screen. If it opens a minimized view then say it again and it opens in full screen. Then I say "Computer Close Ring" and it goes back to the home screen. Sometimes it doesn't work and you have to say it twice or tap the x to close the view if it's not responding. So try saying it like that and see if that helps.

I think it learns from your requests too. So after you say it a few times it will start opening in full screen.

Yes you can! I have an older model of the Echo Show and I can see different cameras on there too. You can set them up in the Alexa app. We tested out some blink cameras and some Wyze cams too. So yeah you can add multiple brands of cameras to your set up. You have to remember the names of the cameras though to access them by voice. But you can say, "Alexa show me the cameras" and it will open them all up on the Echo Show. We also have some bird feeder cameras that we will try to add to the Echo Show. I will make some update videos about it.

Can you have view more than 1 camera at a time? For example can view my backyard and doorbell at the same time side to side.
I am not sure? I will have to look that up and see if I can do it. I will make a video update if I can figure out how to view multiple cameras.
I just tried it. I asked my Echo show 15 to show me all of my cameras. It opened up a screen with 4 cameras on it. That was pretty cool. I will have to make a video about it now.
How can you get news on this? I mean written one that can pop up

You can set it up to show you the news on the home screen or just ask for the news. The same with motivational quotes. I just asked for a motivational quote and it gave me a Theodore Roosevelt quote. It was pretty cool. The quote was typed out on the screen and read in Theodore Roosevelts voice. I will have to make some more videos showing some of the cool things you can do with the Echo Show 15.
The power cord hanging down looks bad. Just bite the bullet and go through the wall. Then fix that broken light switch cover and it'll be lookin' good.

So is there another video that shows the steps to connect the ring camera to the echo show? I thought this was it based on the title.
You can set it up on the Alexa app on your phone. Just click on the plus in the top right to add new devices. Once you set it up and name it you can open it up on the Echo Show or on any of your Amazon devices. Its pretty cool I will try to make a video about it.
Can you watch your blink cameras on there?
Yes you can set up the blink cameras on the Echo Show 15. I plan on making some more video about it. I really like this thing!
Do you need subscription to Ring if you want to view video recordings
You can watch videos on the camera and talk to people on the camera without the subscription but if you want to record the camera you have to have a subscription.
